Ken lives a miserable life simping for a girl who will never notice him. In essence he is a creature that is defined by "lack".

Barbieland exists in the "Imaginal" World (Corbin). All inhabitants are "Egregore"-like beings that are fed with psychic energy from the physical world.

Through journeying with Barbie to the physical world Ken is exposed to the very roots of his Being. He gains enough power ("Kenergy") to completely transmute Barbieland into any form he wants.

He fails because he still "lacks". Only at the very end through giving up Barbie to define himself on his own does he truly become whole and achieves individuation. He now has agency and power over his destiny. He is finally "kenough"
