Not Esoteric, but legitimately terrifying.

Something he talks about in this interview and elsewhere is that the quality of candidates even over the last 30 years has dropped considerably. Now, serious organizations often don't even begin teaching esotericism, but teach students how to "sort themselves out" (mainly psychology).
