There is great pain in the revival of European Paganism, pain in the realisation of what has been lost.
It not so simple to say: "I shall take up a foreign practice to resurrect what was!" It takes great courage and conviction.
I believe for many pagans today there is a genuine call of the blood. Certain symbols and ideals, stories of imperfect heroes and perfectly imperfect Gods, that resonate in the very roots of being for those sensitive to it.
And yet, when one asks "how do I practice?", "how do I call to the Gods?", one is met with drunken oafs, academic speculation, New Age clowns and fancy dress. What agony!
The contradiction is too sharp, too painful. What is this newly awakened feeling that I cannot deny within myself, yet cannot realise in practice? I can hear the voices of my ancestors but I cannot make out what they are saying!
However, all these are birthing pains. None who have felt it can deny what is coming. Many who know no better turn to Christianity, Orthodoxy, can it truly save them? I think not.
Rituals and practices that have been reconstructed by the likes of Thomas Rowsell are not nothing. They are something real and meaningful. They do not have no effect, but when compared to the, admittedly faded, vibrancy of Vedanta or Vajrayana it is clear something is missing. There are no realised sages of modern Paganism. No yogis or acharyas, no Druids or Runemasters, no true oracles or shamans, no great bridge to the divine. Only scholars of good hearts doing what they can, to guide the lost souls of the post-modern hell-world of the Kali Yuga.
All this is why my mind has been made up, it is to Vajrayana I shall turn, and, in meditation, seek to find the Gods my ancestors once knew.

Since everyone else is posting them, here’s our take on the Vajra (we added in some Pictish Stones, which bears a symbol which may be related, but we don’t know for sure)

A Tier List I made for Indo-European texts.
I might have missed some important texts or your personal walk and tradition might be different. Feel free to discuss and feel free to make your own.
