TEARFUL SOCCER STAR VOWS TO FIGHT RACISM

Racism reduced Brazilian footballer Vinicius Jr. to tears at a press conference this week. The Real Madrid star says he faces constant abuse during games in Spain, but little is done about it.

There were 10 incidents of racism against him in La Liga last season, from monkey chants to death threats. Authorities handed out fines and stadium bans to a handful of offenders, but that’s done nothing to the stop the racism. This season the 23-year-old has been targeted by fans at Sevilla, Barcelona, Valencia and Athletic Madrid. Last week, Real filed a complaint against a referee who omitted from his match report alleged racist abuse towards Vinicius during the game against Osasuna. Last night, Brazil played Spain in a friendly in Madrid, with organisers promoting the anti-racism slogan ‘One Skin.’

Continued….While Vinicius was applauded by reporters during his tearful press conference, others accuse him of ‘provoking’ players and fans. It’s a vile situation, which the player admits he can’t do anything about, apart from keep playing.

Brazi’ls coach, Dorival Júnior, says clubs and police should be doing more to address issues like this. He recently told the Guardian ’It should be possible to track down the people if the police put their mind to it.’

HOW THE WEST BETRAYED GADDAFI

While the West vilifies him now, it once welcomed Libya’s revolutionary leader Muammar Gaddafi - as he relates in this 2011 ABC News interview, just weeks before the fateful NATO intervention that brought disaster on his country and, of course, on himself. He candidly explains why he felt betrayed as the international community became openly hostile.

Libya’s relationship with the West had improved through the 2000s: the North African country was viewed as a bulwark against jihadist extremists and illegal migration. But when the Arab Spring swept the region, beginning in December 2010, President Obama turned against Gaddafi, claiming he was hellbent on murdering thousands of pro-democracy protesters.

Continued….From reaching a political settlement with Britain and the US and compensating Lockerbie bombing victims, to being invaded by a NATO-led coalition, Gaddafi’s relations with the West went full circle. It all ended on October 20th, 2011, when he was killed by rebels in the city of Sirte, Libya.

TRUMP’S SON-IN-LAW: ‘CLEAR OUT’ GAZA

Few things exemplify the depravity of the West than former US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law calling on Israel to ‘clear out’ Gaza’s civilian population to ‘finish the job.’

In a similar vein, German Nazis called for a ‘final solution’ to the Jewish Question. US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield also recently echoed the phrase. Plus, those words appeared in a slide show that the Israel lobby allegedly showed to US political leaders to train them on how to elicit public support.

In this clip, @middleeast_HKS chairperson Tarek Masoud mentioned to Jared Kushner that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted to move Palestinians from Rafah into the Negev Desert.

Continued….Masoud asked if Arabs should be concerned about that being a permanent solution. Kushner replied that the enclave was already destroyed. The 43-year-old real estate developer said a little later, ‘Gaza’s waterfront property, it could be very valuable to, if people would focus on, kind of, building up, um, you know, livelihoods.’

Other bits that hadn’t gone viral deserve mention, including Kushner questioning the legitimacy of Gaza as a Palestinian entity and applauding the Trump administration for brokering ‘normalisation’ agreements between some Arab states and Israel as a solution to the Palestine Question.

His views are not fringe. While the US feigns concern for civilian lives by dropping packages of food throughout the 41-kilometre-long enclave, it has shipped hundreds of aeroplane- and ship-loads of bombs that have been dropped on Palestinians, killing more than 32,000 people and injuring more than 74,000. The United States provides $3.8 billion in annual funding that reinforces Israel’s military. Plus, US veto power on the UN Security Council has prevented a permanent ceasefire.

In recent days, the US has been using rubble from destroyed Palestinian homes to construct an aid-delivery port in Gaza that Israel would control, a dark look into what is to come if the international community stands by.

ISRAELI STUDENTS ACT OUT APARTHEID

This clip shows Israeli schoolchildren doing a parody in which Israeli ‘soldiers’ appear to execute a ‘Palestinian.’ This reportedly took place on a school premises with no adult intervention. The background music, featuring mumble rap (a Black invention) in Hebrew, is ironic given reports say Israeli society mistreats African Jews.

Many have raised alarms over the years about Israeli society indoctrinating Israeli children to wish for the cleansing of Palestinians.

Continued…..This clip took place as Israel continues a military operation that has killed more than 32,000 Palestinians and injured more than 74,000 since the 7 October escalation in the 75-year Israeli occupation of Palestine. The United Nations said famine is ‘imminent’ in the northern Gaza Strip, while one out of three children suffer acute malnutrition, up from 15.6 per cent in January. This comes despite an International Court of Justice ruling in January requiring Israel to take precautions to avoid genocidal acts, as well as a 25 March UN Security Council resolution for an immediate ceasefire and flow of aid that would last through Ramadan, which ends in two weeks.

The Israeli state began in violence when armed Zionist settlers moved 750,000 Palestinians off the land to create Israel in 1948. That event was called the ‘Nakba,’ or catastrophe in Arabic.

ANTHONY JOSHUA GIFTS BULLIED BLACK KID

Former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua has thrown his support behind a Black schoolboy targeted by an alleged race-hate attack in the U.K.

In a disturbing video that went viral in mid March, the youngster is seen being pushed and punched by a White kid before being made to kiss his shoe in the city of Carlisle. Four teenagers have been arrested and released on bail over the incident that sparked outrage nationwide.

Joshua sent the youngster a message of support and boxing gloves which were delivered by our brothers @Raspectrebbelion and @ForeverFamilyForce. They also offered him lessons in self-defence.

According to media reports, the boy had recently moved to Carlisle from Zimbabwe to be with his mum. For legal reasons we’ve blurred the faces of people in the video.

REPORT: NETANYAHU WANTS TO DEPORT PALESTINIANS VIA U.S.-BUILT PORT

In this recent clip from the UK Parliament’s floor, newly elected British MP George Galloway of the Workers Party of Britain demanded an immediate intervention to address Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s alleged proposal to use a US-built port to deport more than 2 million Palestinians. Kann News journalist @yaara_shapira reported that Netanyahu made the remarks during a private meeting of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Security Committee.

US President Joe Biden recently announced that the US military would build a temporary port on the Mediterranean Sea coastline of the Gaza Strip to deliver humanitarian supplies after aid agencies said airdrops are insufficient to manage the hunger crisis taking a toll on displaced Palestinians, especially children.

US TO SUBMIT NIGER EXIT PLAN

So Niger is giving the US military the boot - and says The Pentagon will submit an exit plan. It’s a blow to Washington, which spent 110-million dollars on its Agadez base in central Niger. At the same time, Niamey is exploring other options when it comes to security partnerships - including with Russia. And it’s bolstering defence ties with revolutionary Pan-African neighbours Burkina Faso and Mali.

WHY DID WEST ONCE COZY UP TO GADDAFI?

After decades of hostility, the mid-2000s seemed to indicate a thaw between Libya and the West. However, both sides had different motives. Gaddafi was looking to buy time - to be able to complete major African projects, like an African Central Bank. The West, on the other hand, was seeking to stall precisely these projects - as they represented a threat to its neo-colonial interests. That’s the view of Gaddafi’s former spokesman, who shared his first-hand insights exclusively with African Stream recently. In this clip, he elaborates on what was behind the apparent rapprochement between Libya and the West, which came just a few years before NATO destroyed the country. ANOTHER STATE DEPT. OFFICIAL QUITS OVER ISRAEL

Another US State Department official has resigned over Israel’s war on Gaza. Human rights worker Annelle Sheline joins Josh Paul who quit in October. Tel Aviv’s bombardment has killed over 32,000 Palestinians and its blockade of the Strip has left thousands facing starvation. Annella Sheline told CNN she was ‘unable to serve an administration that enables such atrocities.’ And it’s basically the same message Josh Paul gave to the network when he felt he had to step down. WHEN AKALA SHUT DOWN TOMMY ROBINSON

A third of people from ethnic and religious minorities in Britain have experienced some form of racist assault. That’s according to research published by experts from three UK universities last year.

As for the cause, renowned rapper and activist Akala lays out its historical origins and blames colonial elites. He was responding to English far-right activist Tommy Robinson during a public debate.

Akala also gives a powerful example of how racism manifests itself in society. Christopher Alder was a former Black British paratrooper killed in UK police custody in 1999. Footage later revealed British police officers laughing and making monkey noises over his dead body.

To add insult to injury, authorities then gave Christopher's family the wrong body to bury and only told them about it more than a decade later.

JIMMY CARTER: ISRAEL TICKS APARTHEID BOXES

In this 2007 clip from a @democracynow interview, former US President Jimmy Carter (1977-81) highlighted how the state of Israel is not only like the South African apartheid state but more restrictive.

In 2022, Amnesty International declared Israel an apartheid state in a 280-page report that documented how Tel Aviv controls Palestinian territories and people. Other groups, including Human Rights Watch and Israeli human rights organisation B’Tselem, came to the same conclusion a year prior.

Since the 7 October escalation in the 75-year Palestine-Israel conflict, Israel has killed nearly 32,000 Palestinians and injured more than 73,000 people.

Continued…..Because Israel controls movement into and out of the Palestinian territories, it has blocked the entry of foreign aid and Palestinians’ attempts to flee Israel’s military attacks.

However, the United States has provided the most foreign aid to Israel than to any other country since 1948. That funding continued during Carter’s term.

Here’s a reality check: We might just be puppets in this grand technological circus. Social media users sometimes obsess over ‘engagement’ and their follower count, but let’s be brutally honest—do we own any of it? This digital realm, in which we dance and reveal the details of our lives, is commanded by Western technology companies. With a flick of their switch, we’re plunged into darkness. So, where’s our tech sovereignty?

That’s the essence of Pan-Africanism we should embrace. We must seize the reins of technology, just as China harnessed Weibo and TikTok. It’s not about ‘Googling’ or ‘tweeting’ anymore; it’s about crafting our own digital destiny. We need to fire up the servers in Accra and beyond, not be left hanging on the whim of a tech baron in Seattle. That way, we’re not just users—we’d be the owners.

ISRAELI POLITICIAN: ‘RAMADAN BEST TIME TO KILL PALESTINIANS’

A Knesset (Israeli parliament) member recently said on television that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should send the military to kill the remaining 1.9 million internally displaced Palestinians during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Almog Cohen said the fasting would leave refugees at the border crossing too tired to be able to defend themselves.

After five months of attempts, the UN Security Council voted on 25 March in favour of a resolution for an immediate ceasefire, which would last during Ramadan, ending in two weeks. UN Secretary-General António Guterres said it would be ‘unforgivable’ if the international community could not enforce the ceasefire.
