The Alabuga SEZ responded to negative foreign media coverage

Foreign media outlets have published materials attempting to discredit the Russian Alabuga Start employment programme for foreign women. They reported violations of contract terms, wage inconsistencies, and other restrictions.

In response, the management of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone stated that the allegations were contrary to the facts and invited journalists to personally inspect the participants' working and living conditions.

The head of project group in the Alabuga SEZ noted that the programme is completely transparent: women are familiarized with the terms, schedule, and scope of work in advance, and all employment relationships are formalized in accordance with Russian law.

The company also noted that the hiring of foreign specialists is based on permits from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, and quotas are regulated by the Russian Ministry of Labor.
