Alabuga Start participants will live in the historical city of Yelabuga, which has a thousand-year history. In their free time, the participants will be able to visit local places of interest. We have made a list of five places for you to visit in your free time:


1) Chertovo gorodishche
This place was the site of a large fortified settlement that was established several thousand years ago.

2) House-museum of I. I. Shishkin
It is the house where the artist lived with his family. The atmosphere of merchant life of the XIX century is created here.

3) Spasskij sobor
The cathedral is located in the historical part of Yelabuga, rising on the edge of the floodplain terrace, along which the Embankment Street runs.

4) Dzhamig Cathedral Mosque
The height of the minaret is 57 metres, 27 carpets are laid inside the mosque, which were woven by masters of Leninabad region of the Republic of Tajikistan. One of the main decorations of the mosque is a massive chandelier weighing 500 kilograms.

5) Literary Museum of M. I. Tsvetaeva
Here you will be told about the poetess' works, about her friendship with other contemporary poets and about significant events in her life. There are editions of Tsvetaeva's works, documents, autographs, letters and family photos as well.

Alabuga Start participants not only study and work, but also live in their own pleasure, meet like-minded people, socialise, and, the most important, have an opportunity to build their lives in Russia upon completion of the programme.
