Today we will tell you about the important steps of preparation for your flight to Russia📌
Part 1

✅ Print the tickets sent by your HR-specialist.
✅ Print out the invitation to the programme.
✅ Print out the admission letter from your HR.
✅ Double-check your flight information several times.
✅ Prepare the originals of your school certificate and trannoscript (+legalized copies), medical documents, photos 35x45 mm (10 pieces) passport and put it in your bag.
✅ Check the luggage and carryon (hand luggage) limitations on your flight tickets. Make sure you do not have overweight and excess baggage. Otherwise you will have to pay for it.

Part 2

✅Make sure you do not have prohibited items in your hand luggage (check the airline website to find the list).
✅ It’s recommended to go or at least to call the airport in order to speak to the immigration officer to clarify if your documents are sufficient to leave the country. If necessary, get the contact details of the officer who has confirmed that you have all the necessary documents.
✅ Exchange your local currency for dollars in your city (country). In Russia it won't be possible to exchange your local currency. Take as much as you can for the initial time. It will take some time to get your first allowance. Approximate time before you are officially registered and employed is up to 1,5 months. ✅ Do not forget to bring warm clothes with you. It's very cold in Russia in comparison with your country. Temperature might go below 30 degrees celsius in winter.
✅ Prepare and bring a medical kit with all necessary medicine that you might need if you get sick.
✅Inform your HR about your emergency contact (name, relation, phone) and address you are registered at in your country (country, city, street, building number, apartment number, zip code)

Part 1

Arrival at the airport:
✅Arrive to the airport well in advance, be there 4 hours before your flight.
✅Always stay in touch with your responsible HR.

Registration:
✅Go to “Check-in” counter to register for the flight and drop off your luggage.
✅Ask a Check-in worker and make sure that your luggage goes straight to the destination point and you don't need to collect it at the transit airport.

Passport control:
✅Pass the passport control.
✅If for some reason you are denied to board your flight, do not leave. Call your HR-specialist immediately by video call. Request and write down the names of the officers or those refusing to let you pass. Request an official handwritten letter stating the reasons for refusal. Do not let them turn you away.

Part 2

Waiting time:
✅Find your "Gate" and wait there for the flight. Make sure you check the "departure board" from time to time. Sometimes the time of departure or the gate might be changed.
✅At the transit airport (country) do not go anywhere! Find the right terminal, check the "departure board", head to the next "Gate" and wait there for the next flight.

Upon arrival in Russia:
✅On your migration card, when asked about the purpose of travel, be sure to mark "WORK". If you make a mistake - you will be excluded from the program due to visa requirement violation.
✅Exchange your dollars for rubles in Kazan (depending on your flight) right at the airport.
✅Collect your luggage and then meet your HR at the destination airport upon arrival.

📌Following these instructions will make your trip to Russia easier and minimize the risk of being stopped at the border. Be sure to read it several times and follow all instructions. There have been cases where our candidates have done the opposite and were denied a flight because of their fault.
