Celebrating Victory Day Together: Alabuga Start Participants Join in Commemorative Event

Participants from Nigeria and Rwanda, part of Alabuga Start, came together to honour Victory Day in a touching ceremony.

The ladies have been quick to immerse themselves in Russian society, diligently learning the language, embracing local customs, and delving into the culture. Victoria Kilani and Vaste Uwase actively participated in the festivities in Yelabuga.

Engaging with the community, they served traditional soldier's porridge and tea, talked to parade attendees in Russian, and even took part in a themed performance alongside students from the Suvorov military school.

“Today we are here for the Victory Day celebration. The atmosphere is fantastic,” Victoria shared her excitement.

Alabuga Start unites: Programme participants showcase cultural stories through dance at Alabuga-Art Competition

The Alabuga-Art gala concert took place in Yelabuga, marking the culmination of an amateur art competition involving collectives from various enterprises, organizations, and institutions. The highlight of the event was the captivating performance by participants of the Alabuga Start programme.

“It was so thrilling and moving,” shared her impressions Nuraim Baktikbek kizi from Kyrgyzstan.

Alabuga Start participants prepared a dance performance, with each participant showcasing the culture of their native country: Rwanda, Uganda, Nigeria, Malawi, Ethiopia, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.

“There were many other participants with varying performances,” said Vaste Uwase, representing Rwanda. “It was a very beautiful event!”

“I represented Russia in our dance. We all worked extremely hard, rehearsing extensively – and our efforts did not go unnoticed by the audience,” said Yulia Shikova, a participant of Alabuga Start from Russia.

"Encouraging More Tanzanian Females to Participate in Alabuga Start": The project team engaged in discussions with BDADI Foundation

In Tanzania, negotiations took place with Mr. Sharifu Dadi, the founder of the non-profit non-governmental organization BDADI Foundation.

During the meeting, the project team introduced the international program "Alabuga Start," leading to several agreements being reached. Mr. Sharifu Dadi emphasized the importance of involving more females from Tanzania in Alabuga Start.

As a result, representatives from BDADI Foundation offered their support in recruiting participants from Tanzania and agreed to serve as official program ambassadors in their country.

The HR Department of the Alabuga SEZ received information that potential participants of the Alabuga Start programme were deceived. Unknown individuals pretended to be our representatives and extorted money for participation in the programme.

Alabuga Start is a free programme. You do not pay to participate in this programme.

The programme pays for these two things:
✔️ Notarized translation of your documents
✔️ Air tickets

Before your relocation, you need to pay for two things yourself:
- Your visa
- Medical tests

After you apply to participate, programme's HR team will contact you. They are not asking you to send them any money!

3. Learn 100 Russian words
4. Subscribe to our Telegram channel, if you haven't already done so.
5. Record a video business card (you can find questions for the video in our post https://news.1rj.ru/str/AlabugaStart/247).
6. Have an interview with HR

How to pass an exam for the Knowledge of the Russian Language, Knowledge of the History of Russia and the Fundamentals of the Legislation of the Russian Federation before your arrival in Russia? 🇷🇺

Prior to their arrival in Russia, participants of the Alabuga Start program engage in online training on free platforms.

Upon arrival, they review the material covered and take a demo version of the exam*
