In China they have developed a processor that uses artificial intelligence without human intervention in just 5 hours.
A team from the Institute of Computer Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences turned to artificial intelligence (AI) to design and develop a first-of-its-kind fully automatic processor chip. The work was completed without any human intervention.
The processor, called Qimeng No. 1 or Enlightenment No. 1, was created from a RISC-V instruction set with a 32-bit architecture based on the BSD binar Specul Speculation Diagram (BSD) algorithm. The smart engine managed to generate 4 million logic gates in just 5 hours, which is 4000 times more than the chip that GPT-4 can design.
