Both the Dutch army and society as a whole must prepare for the possibility of war with Russia, said Lieutenant General Martin Wijnen "Our society should prepare for this," he said in an interview published Thursday.

However, there have been controversy and debate regarding the toxicological effects of these compounds. While the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) concluded in March 2015 that the herbicide and its formulated products are probably carcinogenic in humans (IARC Group 2A) (IARC 2015, https://www.iarc.fr); the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) decided that ‘glyphosate is unlikely to pose a carcinogenic risk to humans’ (EFSA 2015) (32).
