US Stock Market Adds $2 Trillion at Market Open!

Here’s the potential reason:

Trump: "China wants to negotiate, we’re waiting for their calls." - If Trump is not bluffing, this is super bullish for the markets.

White House also reported that 20 more countries have joined the negotiation list —
bringing the total to over 70 countries negotiating on tariffs

🚨 Major Chaos in the Bond Market! 🚨

The US 30-year Treasury bond yield has skyrocketed by 56 basis points in just three trading days—the biggest spike since January 1982, when yields were at 14%! 📈 This unprecedented surge, as shown in the chart, points to a "Disorderly Liquidation" in the bond market.

This is likely due to a forced unwinding of the infamous "basis trade" — a highly leveraged strategy where investors exploit tiny price differences between Treasury futures and cash bonds. But what’s striking is the timing: much of this selling hit the markets around midnight ET. That’s a red flag. It suggests we aren’t dealing with rational human reactions to economic data — this looks like automated risk-management systems hitting the sell button, possibly triggered by margin calls.

Adding fuel to the fire, the US recently announced a jaw-dropping 104% tariff on China. In retaliation, China has already sold $50 billion worth of US T-bills.It shows that global players are beginning to weaponize financial markets, not just trade policy.

When bond markets — the foundation of the global financial system — start to behave this violently, it’s not something you can ignore. Liquidity stress here often spills over into equities, credit markets, and even currencies. We could be witnessing the early stages of a broader systemic shakeup. Stay sharp. The real storm might just be beginning.

President Trump announces 90-day pause on countries that lowered tariffs🔥

I literally don't trust his words anymore, but yesterday he said it's a good time to buy and announced a pause on Tariffs — market pumped. Now he's saying "more great days are coming" yesterday’s pump made me a bit greedy 😁 — so I’m tempted to believe him

Everyone’s waiting on the FED to save the market but I don’t think the next rally gonna come from the US

It’s already brewing in Asia,

China’s devaluing the yuan, Japan’s about to print, liquidity’s coming, just not from where you think

Here’s how it plays out. A thread: 👇

China Increases Tariffs to 125% But Markets Stayed Calm.

China has officially hiked tariffs on US goods to 125% (up from 84%) effective April 12.
But surprisingly, the market didn’t panic this time. Why?

Because this was the final blow - the maximum escalation.

The room for "Further Tariff Hikes" doesn’t exist anymore. Economically, it no longer makes sense for either side to escalate.

CHINA ITSELF SAID:
"If the US continues infringing upon China’s interests, we will fight to the end — but it no longer makes economic sense to go further.

AND CHINA WILL IGNORE U.S. IF IT KEEPS IMPOSING TARIFFS

EVEN TRUMP EARLIER SAID:
"I can't imagine increasing tariffs further."

In short: This 125% tariff is seen as the ceiling not the beginning of a new tariff war.

Is falling to your knees really the 'art of the deal' Trump was talking about?
Anyways BULLISH 🔥 — unless Trump pulls some crazy stunt in the deal again, which he most likely will.

Looking at the current market dynamics, a strange but historic situation is unfolding.

Traditionally, when stocks decline, bond yields are expected to fall as well. However, right now, we are witnessing a rise in US bond yields (reasons already mentioned in previous post), signaling that the US government will have to pay more to raise debt in global markets.

This rising cost of debt leaves the US with very limited options - primarily, printing more money to meet its growing interest payment obligations. Printing more money, combined with recently imposed tariffs, is bound to stoke domestic inflation. This points towards the US already entering, or being dangerously close to entering, a phase of 'Stagflation' - a toxic mix of stagnating growth and high inflation.

Going forward, the US seems to have only 3 choices:
1- continue printing money,
2- find new stakeholders to buy their bonds,
3- aggressively work on reducing trade and budget deficits.

Amidst this backdrop, crypto emerges as a silent but significant beneficiary. While current geopolitical tensions and the unwinding of the global carry trade have put downward pressure on crypto markets, the internal fiscal and monetary imbalances of the US will eventually push crypto upwards. It appears that Q1 and Q2 of this year might remain challenging for crypto but Q3 & Q4 we could see a drastic positive turnaround.

Interestingly, the US is now moving towards embracing crypto, not out of choice but out of necessity. At the same time, the rest of the world, wary of letting the US gain an unfair advantage as it did with the US dollar's rise to global reserve status, will also be forced to adopt crypto at a much larger scale.
