Its been 6 weeks since USDC payment live on Shopify
Only $19.4K settled so far, less than $400/ day in volume. That's a grain of sand vs Shopify’s $500Billion+ fiat settlement volume.

Aave has expanded to 16 different L2s but this aggressive expansion is backfiring. The protocol is losing money, the fees being generated aren’t even enough to cover the operational costs.
Most of them are not even generating $1M annual revenue, I took the screenshot of 26th July for this very reason because Fantom and Soneium didn’t even generate $1 on most days, that’s why they aren’t even showing up in the chart lol
So either Aave should stop spending resources on these unprofitable L2s or these L2s will have to figure something out to reach users otherwise these chains will slowly fade away from the industry before they even found product-market fit.

There’s no new official statement from China banning crypto, the ban has been in place since 2021.

China vs Taiwan tensions seem to be heating up lately: The world's chip heart is under threat
People are ignoring the fact that the China-Taiwan conflict would be the most bearish trigger of all.
The world heavily depends on Taiwan for advanced microchips used in AI, smartphones, and high-end computing. According to IEP, a full-scale war over Taiwan could cost the global economy $10 trillion that’s 40X more than the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war.
IMO, further war escalation shouldn’t happen right now, but if it does, it could lead to a sudden and massive crash in global markets especially for tech stocks and crypto.
