The vessel, which officials initially did not name but U.S. media identified as “Bella 1,” is registered under the Turkish company Loyz Marine, which is subject to U.S. sanctions.

The last tracking signal from the tanker was received five days ago, more than 200 kilometers northeast of Antigua and Barbuda. Tracking data indicates that the ship was traveling from Iran’s Shahid Rajaee Port to Willemstad, Curaçao, in the Caribbean Sea.
