I have trouble pinpointing what it is about this video exactly that makes me so, almost irrationally, angry.

Setting aside for a moment the vocal fry that’s so bad she can hardly even get her last few words out, or the casual, condescending way she drops, “the incel lifestyle,” or even that this is a clearly dull woman whose opinion in no way deserves to be on camera in the first place.

I think the most disturbing part of the whole video is that it demonstrates how easily subsumed internet memetic culture now is, that it can be downloaded on the fly and used as a substitute for actual knowledge and discernment by midwits who know just enough to ape the words and weaponize them for clicks and fake fame. That legitimate ideas can be near instantaneously squeezed of all value like a sponge by hordes of “influencers” who don’t even understand what the words mean.

I hate it.
