• Three Letters of Recommendation (submitted electronically). A maximum of six letters will be accepted.
• Unofficial trannoscripts from all universities and colleges you have attended for at least one year must be uploaded to the graduate application. Applicants who reach the interview stage will be asked to provide official trannoscripts as well; Department staff will reach out to these applicants with instructions for submitting official trannoscripts. Please do not submit official trannoscripts with your initial application.

General Information
The Department of Psychology holistically reviews each candidate's complete application to assess promise for a career in teaching and research. Consideration is based on a variety of factors, including courses taken, grade point average, letters of recommendation, and the statement of purpose. Additionally, the Department of Psychology places considerable emphasis on research training, and students who are admitted have often been involved in independent research as undergraduate students. Although there are no course requirements for admission, all applicants should have sufficient foundational knowledge and research experience to engage in graduate-level coursework and research.
We accept students who hold undergraduate degrees as well as those who have both undergraduate and master's degrees. An undergraduate major in psychology is not required; the Department welcomes applicants from other academic backgrounds.

GPA: Applicants must have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale. Over the past 5 years, admitted students have had an average GPA of 3.64.
GRE: Applicants must take the Graduate Record Examination General Test, but the psychology subtest is not required😍. Only valid GRE scores are accepted; test scores are valid for five years after the testing year in which you tested (July 1-June 30). To be considered, minimum scores are Verbal: 151 (49% rank); Quantitative: 149 (39% rank). Over the past 5 years, admitted students have averaged in the 75th percentile for verbal, 60th percentile for quantitative, and 65th percentile for analytic writing.
Prerequisites: Our program has a strong quantitative emphasis. It is highly unlikely that a student would be admitted without a course in statistics. In the rare circumstance that a student is admitted without meeting this prerequisite, the student must pass an approved statistics course prior to Fall enrollment in the program.

شرایط عمومی برنامه و مراحل پذیرش
مراحل درخواست SFU تقریباً یک ماه طول می کشد و شامل مراحل زیر است:

درخواست شما توسط تیم دکترا مورد بررسی قرار می گیرد.
در صورت بررسی مثبت ، مصاحبه شخصی برنامه ریزی می شود. اگر متقاضی در اتریش اقامت داشته باشد ، مصاحبه در دانشگاه زیگموند فروید وین انجام می شود. متقاضیان کشورهای دیگر از طریق تلفن یا اسکایپ مصاحبه می شوند.

الزامات زبان
