در حادثه‌ای مانند زلزله، مسلما همه‌ی اعضای خانواده‌ی حادثه دیده‌گان از نظر روحی آسیب خیلی سختی می‌بینند. بزرگترها که شاید درک بیشتری از زندگی دارند به یک معنا، جوان‌هایی که احیانا عزیزان‌شان را از دست داده‌اند به یک معنای دیگر، و خردسالانی که می‌گریند و دلتنگ پدر یا مادرشان هستند، و مردمی که دل‌شان برای انسانیت هنوز می‌تپد نیز به شکل دیگری. اما بدون تردید، هیچ کس و هیچ کس به مانند مادران آسیب روحی نمی‌بیند. امروز که مدتی از این حادثه می‌گذرد، و هوا بس ناجوان‌مردانه سرد گشته از مادران آسیب دیده‌ی‌مان چه خبر؟ از مادران سرزمین‌مان. آیا کسی به خوبی به دل شکسته‌ی آن‌ها پاسخ داده است؟ یا حال که همه چیز از صدر خبرها افتاده، همه‌ی ما آن‌ها را فراموش کرده‌ایم؟
