❓من دانشجوی رشته‌ی ... هستم. معدل کارشناسی و ارشدم خیلی عالیه. هر دو مقطع رو شاگرد اول بودم. آیلتس 7.5 دارم با دو تا مقاله‌ی خوب در ژورنال‌های عالی.
دانشگاه ... یه دانشجوی دکتری در رشته‌ی ما می‌خواد و منم می‌خوام براش اپلای کنم. مدارک لازم رو تهیه کردم و آماده‌ی اپلای هستم. ولی قبلش یه سوال داشتم. به نظر شما من با این رزومه چقدر شانس برنده شدن دارم؟

💡 رزومه‌ی شما خیلی عالی است و جای تبریک دارد. با این وجود شانس برنده شدن شما در این یک پوزیشن مورد نظر در بهترین حالت احتمالا زیر 5% می‌باشد.

❓ من در ارتباط با این پست شما سوال داشتم. من در طول دوران تحصیل زبان می‌خوندم ولی این‌طور نبوده که کلاس رفته باشم‌ و جدی کار کرده باشم. حالا که می‌خوام اپلای کنم جدی دنبال زبان‌ هستم. ولی خیلی استرس دارم. من از این پست شما این‌طور برداشت می‌کنم‌ که من زمان زیادی لازم دارم که به سطح قابل قبول زبان برسم؛ که خیلی بده‌‌. از طرفی در برخی از کانال‌ها دیدم تبلیغ می‌کنن که اگه روزی یه ربع به کانال ما سر بزنین بعد از یکی دو ماه زبان‌مون توپ می‌شه. یا حتی یکی از این کانال‌ها که خیلی هم عضو داره گفته که ۱۰ روزه مکالمه اکی می‌شه. نظر شما در این مورد چیه؟

🔍 نظر ما این است که زبان‌آموزی فرآیندی زمان‌بر بوده و تنها در بستر زمان رخ می‌دهد. اگر ساختار مغزی زبان‌آموز مشابه با ۷.۴ میلیارد انسان دیگری که روی این کره‌ی خاکی زندگی می‌کنند باشد؛ مغز وی برای یادگیری نیازمند هم‌آوایی شبکه‌ای میلیونی از نورون‌ها دارد که این هم‌آوایی نیازمند صرف زمان است. در نتیجه از لحاظ سیستمی یادگیری مکالمه در ۱۰ روز، امکان‌پذیر نمی‌باشد.

We invite applications for a fully funded post-doc position studying the neurophysiology of attention. The work will include recording from &/or the reversible inactivation of cortical areas MT, LIP and FEF while animals perform a visual search task utilizing moving dot patterns. Applicants should have a strong background in systems neurophysiology, behavioral training or computational neuroscience and be comfortable working independently on all aspects of the project. Previous experience with NHP recording and data analysis is desirable. Candidates should hold a PhD in neuroscience, psychology or a related discipline.

The position is initially for 12 months with the possibility of renewal. Compensation will be commensurate with relevant experience. Postdoc opportunity at University of Illinois: biomedical ultrasound and ML applications

There is currently a postdoc position available at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Drs. Aiguo Han (han51@illinois.edu) and William D. O'Brien, Jr. (wdo@uiuc.edu) are looking for an appropriate post-doc to collaborate with them. See recommended qualifications below. Individuals who are interested in biomedical ultrasound or machine learning applications in biomedical ultrasound are encouraged to contact them via email.

Qualifications:

1. Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Acoustics, Applied Physics or other closely related areas.

2. Strong knowledge of ultrasound and/or wave propagation physics and signal processing, and experience with ultrasound instrumentation/transducers.

3. Comfortable with programming in Matlab or Python.

4. Experience with image processing, machine learning and clinical translation of imaging technologies is a plus.

Examples of potential projects

1) Ultrasonic scattering and/or wave propagation models for biological tissues (e.g., structure function)

2) Novel quantitative ultrasound imaging techniques

3) Ultrasonic tissue characterization algorithms based on quantitative ultrasound parameters and raw ultrasound data
