Postdoc in Computer Vision, Education Psychology at Toronto Rehab, Canada
A multidisciplinary post-doctoral fellowship (PDF) position is available to start in early 2022 for one-year at the KITE, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute (TRI), University Health Network (UHN), which is Canada’s largest research rehabilitation hospital. The ideal candidate for this position will have:

* A PhD in Computer Science / Cognitive Science, with background in statistics, educational psychology, student / people engagement, and online / distant learning.

* Strong publication record in high quality multidisciplinary journals/conferences, including computer vision, speech analysis, deep learning and social sciences/psychology.

* Prior experience working within a clinical or healthcare setting will be an asset.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated strong leadership skills.

Postdoc in computational neuroscience (CRM, Barcelona)
The group of Computational Neuroscience at the Center for Research in
Mathematics (CRM), Barcelona
(http://www.crm.cat/en/Research/ResearchGroups/Neuroscience/Pages/default.aspx)
is looking for a postdoctoral researcher. Research interests of the
group include decision-making, perception, working memory, spatial
memory, neural network models and developing new methods for analysis
of behavioral and neural data. The candidate will work in the group of
Alex Hyafil, Alex Roxin, and/or Klaus Wimmer. The project will be
defined in collaboration with the supervisor(s) and may include
working with experimental data from external collaborators or
collecting psychophysics/EEG data in the lab.

The candidate will benefit from the stimulating environment of the
Barcelona area in Theoretical and Systems Neuroscience and will have
the opportunity of enjoying a lively city. Our group forms part of a
larger interacting network of neuroscience labs in Barcelona
(http://www.barccsyn.org).

Candidates should have a PhD in computational neuroscience or a
related field, with their PhD obtained after 1/1/2017. Candidates from
applied mathematics or physics are also welcome. Research experience
outside of Catalonia is required.

Three year postdoctoral positions in England / Germany

Profs. John Spencer and Gregor Schoener are looking for two postdoctoral candidates to work on a joint project funded by the Leverhulme Trust. The goal of the project is to construct a theory that explains how the brain flexibly integrates lower-level processes with higher-level language and executive functions. The project will use the framework of Dynamic Field Theory (www.dynamicfieldtheory.org) to both simulate human behaviours and embody the theory on an autonomous robot to explore application to real-world scenarios.

One postdoctoral fellow will be housed in the School of Psychology at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK. The other fellow will be housed at the Institute for Neurocomputing at the Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany.

We have a postdoc opening on developing Arabic handwritten text recognition systems at the NC State University, North Carolina, USA.
