The Palace of Chrośtnik has been restored.

This great baroque palace in Poland was built in the 18th century by a noble Prussian family, plundered by the red army after WWII and later burnt down.

Polish businessman Dariusz Miłek bought the ruins and restored the palace.
The revival of architecture will mean a comeback for skilled craftsmen.

New buildings in Paris
The Berlin Palace has been rebuilt.

Royal residence of the House of Hohenzollern from 1443 to 1918. It was damaged by bombing in 1945 and later demolished by the communists in the 1950s.

Its modernist replacement was demolished in 2009 and reconstruction started in 2013.

A 1960s building in Nijmegen (Netherlands) was voted "the ugliest building in town".

It was demolished and replaced by a new building resembling (albeit rather poorly) what was there before.

The street has become whole again.
