Father Maxim, a military chaplain from the 1st Slavic Brigade named after St. Prince Vladimir, served a prayer service.

There was confession and holy communion for the soldiers who then departed for their combat missions straight from the prayer service.

They deeply love their patron saint, revere him, and consider it their duty to glorify this saint.

They gladly accepted the Kursk-Root icon chevrons and even asked for more to be sent to their positions on the front for their comrades who, unfortunately, couldn't make it to church.
