BEING KIND TO DEBTORS WHO FACE FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES
ALLĀH commands creditors to be patient with debtors who are having a hard time financially,
وَإِن كَانَ ذُو عُسْرَةٍ فَنَظِرَةٌ إِلَى مَيْسَرَةٍ
(And If it is difficult for someone to repay a debt, postpone it until a time of ease.)
During the time of Jahiliyyah, when the debt came to term, the creditor would say to the debtor, "Either pay now or interest will be added to the debt."
ALLĀH encouraged creditors to give debtors respite regarding their debts and promised all that is good, and a great reward from HIM for this righteous deed,
وَأَن تَصَدَّقُواْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
(And if you waive it as an act of charity, it will be better for you, if only you knew.),
meaning, if you forfeit your debts and cancel them completely.
Imam Ahmad recorded that Sulayman bin Buraydah said that his father said,
'I heard the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ say,
"Whoever gives time to a debtor facing hard times, will gain charity of equal proportions for each day he gives."'...
Ahmad recorded that Muhammad bin Kab Al-Qurazi said that;
Abu Qatadah had a debt on a man, who used to hide from Abu Qatadah when he looked for him to pay what he owed him. One day, Abu Qatadah came looking for the debtor and a young boy came out, and he asked him about the debtor and found out that he was in the house eating.
Abu Qatadah said in a loud voice, "O Fellow! Come out, for I was told that you are in the house."
The man came out and Abu Qatadah asked him, "Why are you hiding from me?"
The man said, "I am having a hard time financially, and I do not have any money."
Abu Qatadah said, "By ALLĀH, are you truly facing a hard time?"
He said, "Yes."
Abu Qatadah cried and said, "I heard the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ say,
"Whoever gives time to his debtor, or forgives the debt, will be in the shade of the Throne (of ALLĀH) on the Day of Resurrection."
Muslim also recorded this Hadith in his Sahih.
Al-Hafiz Abu Yala Al-Mawsili recorded that Hudhayfah said that the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said,
"On the Day of Resurrection, one of ALLAH'S servants will be summoned before HIM and HE will ask him, "What deeds did you perform for ME in your life?"
He will say, "O Lord! In my life, I have not performed a deed for YOUR sake that equals an atom," three times.
The third time, the servant will add, "O Lord! You granted me wealth and I used to be a merchant. I used to be lenient, giving easy terms to those well-off and giving time to the debtors who faced hard times."
ALLĀH will say, "I Am the Most Worthy of giving easy terms. Therefore, enter Paradise."

STORY TIME🙂
❝While Prophet Musa (عليه السلام) was in a gathering Iblis came wearing a hooded cape that changed in colors. When the devil came nearer he took off the cape and set it down and came to Musa saying: ‘Peace be upon you.
Musa replied: ‘Who are you?’
He said: ‘I am Iblis.‘
Musa responded: ‘No greetings from Allah to you, what brought you here?’
The devil said: ‘I came to greet you because of your high godly status.’
Musa said: ‘What have I seen you wearing?’
Iblis replied: ‘I use it (the cape) to capture the hearts of the sons of Adam.’
Musa asked: ‘What is it that if a human does will enable you to take him over?’
He replied: ‘If he becomes fond of himself, and considered his (good) deeds plentiful.’
I warn you from three things:
First, never be alone with a woman that is not lawful to you. Because whenever someone does so, I personally accompany him and use her to seduce him.
Second, never promise Allah something except that you fulfill your promise. Whenever someone promises Allah something I personally accompany him to prevent him from fulfilling his promise.
And never take an amount of money to give charity except that you make sure you give it to that charity. Whenever someone takes an amount of money to give to charity, I personally accompany him to persuade him not to give it.
Then Iblis walked away saying:
‘Woe to me, thrice, I have taught Prophet Musa (عليه السلام) from what to warn the sons of Adam.’❞

At “sit downs” one question that is frequently asked is “how much Qur’an have you memorized?” While this question is valid- let’s change it to “how much Qur’an do you implement in your life?”

When we see our Deceased Relatives in Dreams...
The Souls of the Living, when they are in a State of Slumber, Meet with the Souls of the Deceased who are in their Graves
Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (حفظه الله) was asked the following: “Is it correct that the souls meet after death? And is there a sign that they are in Jannah or the Fire?”1
The Shaykh (حفظه الله) responded by saying:
Yes, the souls meet. That is like in the case when He said:
اللَّـهُ يَتَوَفَّى الْأَنفُسَ حِينَ مَوْتِهَا
‘It is Allāh who takes away the souls at the time of their death...’[Sūrah al-Zumar, 39:42]
This is the major death,
وَالَّتِي لَمْ تَمُتْ فِي مَنَامِهَا
‘...and those that die not, during their dreams.’
[Sūrah al-Zumar, 39:42]
Meaning, He takes away the soul that did not die during their dreams. Meaning, while it sleeps. Hence, sleep is [a type of] death; however, it is the minor death. Allaah said:
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُم بِالنَّهَارِ
‘It is He, Who takes your souls by night [when you are asleep], and has knowledge of all that you have done by day.’ [Sūrah al-Anʿām, 6:60]
The souls of the living, when they are in a state of slumber, meet with the souls of the deceased who are in their graves, and because of this they see each other, and so the living see the dead.
Furthermore, there occurs between the living and the dead an exchange of some information, and they question each other [about things] between themselves. Then Allaah snatches or holds on to the souls that death was written for, and He releases the others who are not dead. He releases them when they awake from their slumber for an unknown time which is the age that Allaah has written for them.
This is from the strangest of Allaah's abilities—that the souls of the living meet with the souls of the deceased and because of this, an exchange of information takes place between them. [Furthermore] the deceased request from the living [various] things; either [they request from them] the repaying of debts, or they inform them about things which they [eventually] find to be true as they [correctly] informed them.

A word of advice, especially for new reverts/converts:
Understand that born Muslims might not fully grasp our unique challenges and trials. The initial joy of our shahada often diminishes after the initial warm welcomes. Your journey is largely solitary, with Allah as your constant companion. If you find yourself struggling, don't be discouraged.
Here are some tips to help you on your journey:
1. *Reflect on Allah's Favors*: Recognize the immense blessing of Islam and remember that Allah has chosen you over many others.
2. *Embrace Trials*: Life is a test, and your current challenges may be Allah's way of assessing your faith.
3. *Seek Allah’s Help*: Every trial will end. Reliance on Allah and acceptance of His decree will provide you with strength.
4. *Return to Basics*: If your trials aren't bringing you closer to Allah, revisit the fundamental teachings of Islam.
5. *Find Solace in Prophetic Example*: The most tested people were the Prophets. Their trials were a measure of their faith. Allah says: “Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: ‘We believe,’ and will not be tested? And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allah will certainly make it known those who are true, and will certainly make it known those who are liars, (although Allah knows all that before putting them to test)” [Al-‘Ankaboot 29:2-3].
6. *Engage in Voluntary Prayers*: Especially the Tahajjud prayers. Night prayers are a powerful way to attain your desires and strengthen your faith.
Supplication during Tahajjud time will never be rejected.
7. *Surround Yourself with Righteous Companions*: Isolation makes you vulnerable to doubt and Shaytaan's whispers. Those who keep the company of other Muslims, whether born or reverts, are more resilient in facing trials.
Personally, I've observed that reverts who stay connected with other Muslims remain steadfast, while those who isolate themselves often falter at the first sign of trouble, except those whom Allah has shown mercy.
8. *Avoid Disappointment*: Placing hopes in creation leads to disappointment. Trials may be a reminder from Allah to turn back to Him alone.
I hope this helps you in your journey. May Allah guide and support you always.

Friends for the sake of Allāh are very rare:
“The majority of people today fall in the category of acquaintances and to have a friend among them is something rare to find, for having a true brethren is something that no longer exists, so do not have high hopes about it.
In fact, I noticed that the purity of relations cannot be maintained between blood brothers or between the man and his son or wife!
Therefore do not seek what you cannot get, take aside and deal with people like how you deal with strangers!
And beware of being fooled by the affection shown by some people because time will reveal to you the reason behind them showing such affection, which could be just to take advantage of you...
The concern of the righteous predecessors was the Hereafter alone, therefore their intentions when building relationships with people, and when having close ties with people were pure; hence they acted on the basis of religion and not worldly matters. Today, however, the love of this life overpowered the hearts, and so if you see he who wears the garment of religion, test him and you shall realise his reality and so stay away from him.”
— Stated by Ibn al-Jawzī (ﺭﺣﻤﻪ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ) in “Sayd al-Khātir” (page 817)

Sometimes we get trials and tribulations sent our way and we break, because we didn't plan for them. We find it difficult to adjust to Allahs plans because they were not in according to our plans,.
However, instead of becoming dependent about this fact, the amazing thing to bear in mind is that, the Qur'an tells us that "INDEED ALLAH IS THE BEST PLANNER".
So even though we like to think that something is the best thing for us or that our plan is perfect. But there maybe 101 things wrong with your plans.
However our limited understanding may not be able to see what it is. Remember, Allah says in Surah Al Baqarah "AND PERHAPS YOU MAY HATE A THING AND THAT IS GOOD FOR YOU, AND PERHAPS YOU LOVE A THING AND IT'S BAD FOR YOU.. And Allah knows and you are not.
Exactly we don't know,. So dream, hope, pray for the best. But put your trust in the one that knows you better than you know yourself...

Worried about your future? Then pause for a moment and ask Allah عز وجل to protect and preserve you and move on. Don't think and worry excessively about your future so much so that you end wasting time, and it starts to affect your day to day and regular Deen and Dunya affairs. Know that if Allah عز وجل has willed to repel an harm from you then your excessive thinking is a waste. And if Allah عز وجل has willed for that harm to touch you then your excessive thinking will never repel it. Rather be concerned and obsessed about your Deen - whether you are obeying Allah and sticking to His commands and prohibitions. Whatever calamity that befalls you when you are an obedient slave of Allah is nothing but good for you - for your sins to be forgiven and rank in Jannah to be increased.

⚡Be careful how you respond!
Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reported: The Prophet ﷺ said:
❝A man utters a word pleasing to Allaah without considering it of any significance for which Allaah exalts his ranks (in Jannah); another one speaks a word displeasing to Allaah without considering it of any importance, and for this reason, he will sink into Hell.❞
[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree]
Iblees committed a sin and Aadam عليه السلام committed a sin.
And each of them was asked a question.
Iblees was asked: “Why did you not prostrate?”
And Aadam عليه السلام was asked: “Why did you eat from the tree that was made forbidden for you?”
Both of them were asked a question!
There was no immediate judgment or retribution.
Each one of them was asked a question!
The problem lies in your actions, behavior, and assumptions. Your haphazard response to a question is where the problem begins. How you choose to answer the question determines the outcome.
Iblees said: “I am better than him!” So, he was expelled from the Jannah and was cursed.
Iblees was not immediately expelled from the Jannah because he refused to prostrate, rather, his response to the question, with arrogance and denial, was what sealed his fate.
As for Aadam عليه السلام, when he was asked: “Why did you eat from the tree that was made forbidden for you?” What was his response?
He did not say: “I forgot!”, and he did not lie nor make excuses, rather, he عليه السلام did not respond. He remained silent! So, Allaah taught Him words of repentance.
So, Aadam عليه السلام humbled himself and acknowledged his mistake, saying: “Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves.”
And he repented, saying: “If You do not forgive us, and have Mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”
The connection that broke due to disobedience, Aadam عليه السلام tried to reestablish that link with His Lord through an admission of guilt and humility.
So, Aadam عليه السلام was made Khaleefah on earth, while Iblees was debased, humiliated, and expelled.

Imam Al-Nasaa’i narrated that Muhammad ibn Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when he raised his head towards the sky, then he put his palm on his forehead and said: “Subhaan-Allah! What a strict issue has been revealed to me!” We remained silent and were afraid. The following morning I asked him, “O Messenger of Allah, what is this strict issue that has been revealed?” He said, “By the One in Whose hand is my soul, if a man were killed in battle for the sake of Allah, then brought back to life, then killed and brought back to life again, then killed, and he owed a debt, he would not enter Paradise until his debt was paid off.”
Classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Nasaa’i.
Pay your debts, even if it was owed to your wife or siblings. Pay it before death comes for there is no guarantee it will be settled after your demise. Imagine all these struggles to worship Allāh and you end up being denied jannah over a debt you could have settled while alive!!

«Evil People Exist Only Because Of Good People's Tolerance»

Ibrahim ibn ‘Amr As San’ani R.A said,
It was once revealed to Yusha’ ibn Nun (AS) that a punishment would befall his people and destroy one hundred thousand of them.
Sixty thousand of them were sinners, whereas the other forty thousand were outwardly pious people!
Yusha’ asked, “O Allah! What crime did the pious people commit?”
Allah replied, “They associated and interacted with the evil people, ate and drank with them and did not express any anger for the wrongs taking place around them.”

❝Nothing is more difficult in this life than maintaining patience, be it patience for not acquiring what you love or being patient when afflicted with difficulties, especially when patience stretches for long periods of time or when people become desperate for relief.❞
