During the Caliphate of 'Umar, there was a man who forced himself upon a woman and raped her.

When 'Umar heard about this, he had the man whipped and then order the man to be exiled from the land,

He did not say anything to the woman, because there was no blame on her.

Shaykh Ibn Bāz on Sudden Death

It has come in some Aḥādīth that sudden death will be on the rise during the end of times, and it can either be a seizing due to Allāh's Anger, or it could be a source of relief for the believer.

The believer may be stricken with sudden death from a heart attack or other ways, and it would be a relief for him and a bounty from Allāh because he has become upright and prepared for death, so he is taken suddenly while he is in a good state of good and righteous deeds, so he is relieved from the burdens of death and the fatigue that comes with it.

And sudden death can also happen for the wicked one, in the case of the wicked one, it would be a seizing of wrath. Such people would be taken by surprise while they are in the worst state!

May Allāh grant us overall wellness and we seek refuge with Him.

Have u abandoned the Quran since Ramadaan?

On Judgement Day: "And the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم will say: "O my Lord! Verily, my people ABANDONED this Quran" [Surah Al Furqaan: 30]

Imaam Ib al Qayyim (رحمة الله) said:

Hajr (boycotting) the Qur'an is of different types:

[1] To abandon listening to it, belief in it and not paying attention to it

[2] To abandon acting upon it, and not judging by it in the fundamentals and branches of the religion, and that it does not give one certainty; and that what its words/statements indicate of evidences does not lead to knowledge.

[3]To abandon contemplating upon it; to abandon seeking to understand it and acquiring knowledge of what Allaah intends by it and abandoning its remedies.

All these types of Hajr (boycotting) are included in the statement of Allaah; 'And the Messenger Muhammad will say: O my Lord! My people deserted this Qurýaan' [Surah al Furqaan: 30] even though some of these types of boycotting are less serious than others [Al Fawaa-id; page: 132]

📚Is your MAIN concern the Akhira or Dunya?

It was narrated that Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“Whoever is mainly concerned about the Hereafter, Allaah will make him feel independent of others and will make him focused and content, and his worldly affairs will fall into place.

But whoever is mainly concerned with this world, Allaah will make him feel in constant need of others and will make him distracted and unfocused, and he will get nothing of this world except what is decreed for him.”

(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2389; classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 6510).

What is Hasad [Envy] In Islām?

Hasad in Islām means the desire for the blessings of the envied to transition to the envier.

Hadith: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said,

“Do not hate each other, do not envy each other, do not turn away from each other, but rather be servants of Allāh as brothers."

Sahīh Bukhārī [no. 6065]

- Imām Ibn Qayyim mentions:

To envy is to desire the removal of Allāh’s Blessings from their owner. This is the first level of envy. The second level is to hope misfortune follows the servant [as a shadow would follow its object]. On this level the envious one wishes that the object of their envy remains ignorant, poor, weak, and hopes that their heart is separated from Allāh.

See Hasad: A Condemnation of Envy and Envious People [pg. 16]

Action Plan:

- Say *تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ* - Tabārak Allāh - May Allāh bless you, when you see a blessing on another Muslim.

Mindset:

- Love for your fellow Muslim what you love for yourself for the sake of Allāh.

IF YOU DONT FIND ME IN JANNAH,
THEN ASK ABOUT ME

'If you don't find me in Jannah then ask about me... 'Surely the people of Jannah when they enter and they don't find those companions of theirs who were with them upon good in this world, they will intercede for them in front of Allah (swt) and they will say:

"Oh Rabb we have brothers & sisters who used to read salah and fast with us, we do not see them?

Allah (swt) will say - Go to the fire and take out any person who had even an atoms amount of Iman in their heart."

And Hassan Basri has said -

'Have lots of believing friends because they will be able to intercede for you on the day of Qiyamah.'

If you don't find me in Jannah then please ask about me..."

If I enter the Hellfire, I will enter it alone. In these places no one will benefit me. Therefore, what interest do I have in people?

I will be resurrected from my grave alone. I will be taken to account alone.

May Allaah turn our pains and sorrows into good deeds that will weigh heavy on the Day of Judgement. Allaahumma aameen.

Imam Ibn Qayyim رحمه الله said,

“Allah tests His servant with trials when his good deeds are not sufficient to reach a certain rank in Paradise. These trials are a means by which Allah purifies the servant and raises him to that rank.” [Madarij As-Salikin]

based on what the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said,

“When Allah has decreed a rank for someone which he has not attained by his good deeds, He afflicts him in his body, or his wealth or his children. Then, He enables him to endure that, until He makes him reach the rank decreed for him by Allah.”

💵[The Awesome Reward of Loaning Money & Giving Extra Time for Repayment]

1️⃣From Sulayman ibn Buraidah, from his father, (Buraydah b. Husayb رضي الله عنه) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say:

"مَنْ أَنْظَرَ مُعْسِرًا فَلَهُ بِكُلِّ يَوْمٍ مِثْلَهُ صَدَقَةٌ،

"Whoever gives respite to an insolvent person, he will have charity equal to it for each day.”

Then I heard him say:

مَنْ أَنْظَرَ مُعْسِرًا فَلَهُ بِكُلِّ يَوْمٍ مِثْلَيْهِ صَدَقَةٌ،

“Whoever gives respite to an insolvent person, he will have charity double to it for each day.”

I said: I heard you, O Messenger of Allah, say: “Whoever gives respite to an insolvent person, he will have charity equal to it for each day
Then I heard you say: Whoever gives respite to an insolvent person, he will have charity double for each day”
He (ﷺ) said:

“He will have charity for each day before the debt becomes due, and when the debt becomes due and he gives respite, he will have double charity for each day."

[Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Mājah; graded Sahih by Al Albānī in As-Silsilah As-Saheehah" (86)]

2️⃣And from Abu Qatadah
He sought a debtor who hid from him, then he found him and he said, "I am insolvent." He said, "By Allah?" He said, "By Allah."
He said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say:

"مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يُنْجِيَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ كَرْبِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَلْيُنَفِّسْ عَنْ مُعْسِرٍ أَوْ يَضَعْ عَنْهُ"

“Whoever is pleased that Allah saves him from the distress of the Day of Resurrection, let him give respite to an insolvent person or reduce his debt."

[Saheeh At-Targhib Wat-Tarheeb (903)]

In summary, these two hadīth demonstrate a few amazing rewards connected to loaning money:

1️⃣ For every day between the loan and the set date for its repayment, the lender is rewarded its amount in charity.

2️⃣If the debtor is insolvent (due to difficult circumstances), the lender is rewarded twice its amount for every day that he waits for repayment.

3️⃣ By relieving the debt by giving extra time, lessening its amount or forgiving the debt, the lender will be spared from distress on the day of Judgment.

A disturbing trend that needs correction in the Muslim community

Some people come to a funeral and expect to be given a meal by the deceased’s family. Worse than this are those who reside in the same town as the deceased and expect to be fed at the funeral home.

A funeral home is not a place for feasting, dining, partying and catering. The immediate family of the deceased is put through difficulty because they are forced to see to the guests.

Exorbitant sums of money have to be forked out for feeding guests. Nowadays, caterers charge around R100 per head. So, to feed 200 people a single meal you looking at R20 000 excluding drinks, tea, paper plates, etc. Not everyone can afford this. Sometimes, the money for this is taken from the deceased’s estate which becomes problematic when all the inheritors have not given permission or if inheritors are minors.

Even during the days after the funeral and the first weekend many people come to visit the family of the deceased. Many expect to be given a meal. This is not correct. Avoid going at meal times. Console the family and leave.

Also, when the focus is on food and meals, there is no reciting of duas, dhikrullah, tilawah etc. which is sent as isaaluth thawaab for the deceased.

We need to be considerate.

A funeral needs to remind us of the temporary nature of life. It should be a lesson for us to prepare for the aakhirah. It should not be an event of merry-making.

FIVE BENEFITS OF PRAYING SALAT AL DUHA

■1. It fulfills sadaqah (charity) on every joint in your body."In the morning every single joint of yours must pay a sadaqah (charity).

︎Every SubhanAllah is a sadaqah,
︎Every Alhamdulillah is a sadaqah,
︎Every La Ilaha Illa Allah is a sadaqah,
︎Every Allahu Akbar is a sadaqah,
︎Every commanding good is a sadaqah, and ︎Every forbidding evil is a sadaqah, and all this is accomplished through two rak'ats one can pray in Duha." [Muslim]

■2. It is the prayer of the righteous. "None is diligent in keeping Salat al-Duha except one who is oft-repentent (awwab), and it is the prayer of the oft-repentent (wa hiya Salat al-Awwabin)." [Ibn Khuzaymah, sahih according to the conditions of Imam Muslim]

■3. It was an advice from the Messenger ﷺ himself. Abu Hurayrah: "My beloved (the Messenger) instructed me never to leave three things until I die:

︎Fasting three days of the month,
︎Praying Salat al-Witr before sleep, and ︎Praying the 2 rakats of Salat al-Duha."
[Musnad Ahmad]

■4. If performed after remembering Allah from the time of Fajr prayer, it's equivalent to the complete reward of Hajj & Umrah. "Whoever prays the Fajr prayer then sits in his place of prayer remembering Allah until sunrise, then prays two rak
ats of Duha, shall be rewarded as if he had performed Hajj and Umrah, with a reward that is complete, complete." [Tirmidhi, hasan] (Note: This doesn't nullify the requirement to perform Hajj).

■5. Making it a habit leads to forgiveness of one's sins. "Whoever regularly prays the two rak'ats of Duha, his sins are forgiven even if they are as numerous as the foam of the sea." [Tirmidhi, Ahmad, Ibn Majah]

It's a simple 2 rak'ahs that's prayed any time after the sun rises until just before Dhuhr prayer.

Make it a lifelong habit and encourage your family and friends to do so as well.

May Allah make us of those who benefit from what we learn.

Who is the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ? There is no leader who showed greater humility and kindness than him.

He would share simple food with the weak. He accepted the invitation of those who had nothing. He would visit the ill and go to them even if it was barefooted. He would attend to the needs of slaves and sit with them. In a time women were disrespected, he raised their ranks, replied to their worries, and fixed their problems. In war, he would have eaten the least but he would serve his companions and not eat until they finished and were full. He would go hungry but wouldn't let others feel discomfort. He was fully accessible to the community. He did things himself. He didn't like people serving him. He partook in community projects and helped in building Masjids himself. He asked about everyone and wanted to know about them, and he cared about those who had nobody.

62:11. When they see some merchandise or distraction, they rush towards it and leave you standing there. Say: That which is with Allah is better than any distraction or merchandise. And
Allah is the best of providers.[ Translation Al Quran 62:11]

This refers to an incident that occurred one Friday when the Prophet (PBUH) was addressing the people. A trade caravan came to Madinah, and when the people heard of it whilst they were in the mosque, they went out of the mosque and left the Prophet ( PBUH) addressing the people, and hastened towards
that to which they should not have hastened, forgetting their manners. [ Imam As Sa'di]

Narrated Jabir (RA):
... The people flocked towards it till no one was left [with the Prophet (ﷺ)] except twelve men. [Reported by Muslim].

It is Allah who provides. So whoever fears Allah, He will grant him provision from where he does not expect.

DO YOU WANT ALLAH TO FORGIVE YOU, RAISE YOUR STATUS AND ADMIT YOU TO JANNAH?THEN DO THE FOLLOWING:

1.Hasten towards seeking forgiveness from Allah.
2.Give charity in times of ease and difficulty
3. Restrain your anger and pardon those who offend you.
4.When you commit indecencies and wrong your soul, do a lot of dhikr(remembrance of Allah) and seek forgiveness for your sins.
5.Do not knowingly persist in your sins.

If you do the above, Allah has assured you of forgiveness and a lofty abode in Jannah where you will dwell forever. Indeed, excellent is the reward of the righteous. See Surah Aal Imrān: 133-136.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Wealth does not diminish by giving Sadaqah (charity).
Allah increases the honor of him who forgives and no one will humble himself for Allah’s sake except that Allah raises his status."
