Sleeping after Fajr? Finding it difficult to stay up?

Spirit is willing ...but flesh is weak...soul wants to encase on the barakah.. but the body does not oblige...

Read on dear sisters n brothers ...to find out what we are missing out on... Subhanallah!

The time after Fajr is a time of immense barakah (blessings).
Why would it not be filled with blessings.... when Rasoolullah (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) made the following dua for his Ummah?

"O Allah, bless my Ummah (in their work) in the early part of the morning" (Tirmidhi).

It is however, obvious that to receive this barakah one will have to be awake. A person sleeping at this time is deprived of these blessings.

DETESTABLE
~~~
Sleeping after Fajr is a detestable practice, unless it is due to weakness, illness or any other valid reason.
If one needs to sleep, he should do so after sunrise, although it is better to take a short nap in the afternoon
"SHOOK HIM AWAKE"
~~~~~~

Abdullah bin Umar (R.A.) once passed by a person sleeping after Fajr Salaah. Abdullah (R.A.) shook him awake and remarked:

"Don't you know that Allah pays particular attention to His creation at this part of the morning and out of His sheer mercy He admits a great number of people into Jannah" (Majma'uz Zawaid Lil-Haythami—Vol.2, Pg,.70).

According to another hadith - Rasoolullah (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) is reported to have declared:

"Sleeping in the morning hinders sustenance"

(Majma'uz Zawaid—Vol.4, Pg.111).

RIZQ
~

Aisha (R.A.) narrates that Rasoolullah (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "Search for your rizq (sustenance) in the morning because the morning is a time of blessing and success" (Ibid).

The word "rizq" is a comprehensive word which includes:

spiritual progress, physical well-being, one's livelihood, academic work, household duties, etc.

Any work done at this time is guaranteed to have barakah.
There will also be much ease and greater hope of success.

The habit of sleeping after Fajr should therefore be changed.

This time should be used especially for recitation/memorization of the Qur'an, dhikr or any other work. Many great Ulema even disliked talking at this time unless it was something urgent.

Genuine necessity is nevertheless excluded.

It Is not Haram or forbidden to sleep after fajr
or Asr for that matter... but as mentioned above there is barakah in that time..

May Allah increase our knowledge, strengthen our Deen...

On the Day of Judgment, one of the questions Allah will ask is: "How did you earn your wealth, and how did you spend it?"

Now, ask yourself: Is your earning halal or haram? Did you work honestly for your income, or did you wrong someone to get it?

Did you spend your earnings properly? Did you pay Zakaah? Did you give Sadaqah? Did you fulfill everyone’s rights, including your family’s? Were they hungry? Where they provided home, food and clothes?

Or did you spend your money on unnecessary things for fun? Or did you keep saving it without ever using it, only to leave it behind when you die?

Always reflect on yourself and your actions.

It was narrated from Ibn Mas`ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The son of Adam will not be dismissed from before his Lord on the Day of Resurrection until he has been questioned about five things: his life and how he spent it, his youth and how he used it, his wealth and how he earned it and how he disposed of it, and how he acted upon what he acquired of knowledge.” (Narrated by At-Tirmidhi, 2422; classed as sound by Al-Albani in Sahih At-Tirmidhi, 1969)

Know that it is agreed upon that the Earth is spherical in shape and is mostly surrounded by water.

The Prophet ‎ﷺ said:

"Whoever makes the world his most important concern, Allah will scatter his affairs, and will place poverty before his eyes, and he will get nothing of the world except what has been decreed for him.

And whoever makes the Hereafter his concern, Allah will gather/settle his affairs, and will place contentment in his heart, and the world will reluctantly come to him."

The origin of Tawaf comes from the Tawaf of Hajar (Prophet Ibrahim's wife), between As-Safa and Al-Marwah seeking water for her son (Ismail).

Ibrahim had left them in Makkah (upon Allah’s command), where there was no habitation for her. When Hajar feared that her son would die, she stood up and begged Allah for His help and kept going back and forth in that blessed area between As-Safa and Al-Marwah. She was humble, fearful, frightened and meek before Allah.

Allah answered her prayers, relieved her of her loneliness, ended her dilemma and made the well of Zamzam bring forth its water for her, which is: “A tasty (or nutritional) food and a remedy for the illness.”

Therefore, whoever performs Sa'i between As-Safa and Al-Marwah should remember his meekness, humbleness and need for Allah to guide his heart, lead his affairs to success and forgive his sins. He should also want Allah to eliminate his shortcomings and errors and to guide him to the straight path. He should ask Allah to keep him firm on this path until he meets death, and to change his situation from that of sin and errors to that of perfection and being forgiven, - the same providence which was provided to Hajar.

💠 When Deen becomes one's source of livelihood:

══════❁✿❁══════

It is already difficult to explain to a person of desires that listening to music is Haraam, making sculptures of animated object or taking their pictures is Haraam etc. But it becomes all the more difficult to explain to a person when these things are a source of his livelihood.

📕Narrated Saeed bin Abu Al-Hasan: While I was with Ibn Abbaas a man came and said: "O father of Abbaas! My sustenance is from my manual profession and I make these pictures." Ibn Abbaas said: "I will tell you only what I heard from Allaah's Messenger ﷺ. I heard him saying: 'Whoever makes a picture will be punished by Allaah till he puts life in it, and he will never be able to put life in it.'" Hearing this, that man heaved a sigh and his face turned pale. Ibn Abbaas said to him: "What a pity! If you insist on making pictures I advise you to make pictures of trees and any other unanimated objects."

💢 Commercialization of Da
wah:

🔴 In the field of Da`wah, many people started small.

🔵 They had a humble beginning.

🔴 They started by giving lectures/Khutbah in the Masaajid.

🔵 Then their fame grew.

🔴 Then they formed an organization.

🔵 Soon this organization has branches all over the country.

🔴 Then there is a need for huge funds to maintain these organizations and for their around the world tours.

🔵 To survive they then feel the need to kill the competition.

🔴 To maintain permanent following and followers, they feel the need to distance the people from the real scholars.

🔵 They start rumors that the scholars of the "East" do not know about the conditions and the situations of the people living in the West.

🔴 In order to grow further and maintain fan loyalty, they give people the “Fatwa” which suites the people’s desires.

🔥 They end up Westernizing Islaam and watering it down.

🌴🌴🌴

💢 The Sufees:

🔴 Like the Jews and the Christians, many Sufees also know that the religion of grave worship and saint worship, which they are propagating, is nothing but falsehood.

🔵 But it is the desire to cling on to this worldly life and to earn an easy livelihood; they try to keep the mass ignorant of the reality of Islaam.

🔴 They scare the people by saying: “Do not read the Qur’aan with translation, you’ll become a deviant or you’ll become a “Wahhaabee”, “Do not read the books of Ahaadeeth, they are too difficult for you to understand.”

🔥 The grave of their so called “saints” are a minting machine for them through which they make millions and millions worth of dollars annually.

🌴🌴🌴

{O you who believe! Verily, there are many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks who devour the wealth of mankind in falsehood, AND HINDER (THEM) FROM THE WAY OF ALLAAH (i.e. Allaah's RELIGION.} [Surah al-Tawbah (9): 34]

The Virtue Of Makkah🫀🎯

Upon the authority of Abdullah ibn Uday Az Zuhri [رضي الله عنه] who said I saw the Messenger of Allah [ﷺ] standing in Hazwarah [A place in Makkah] and he said:

❝Wallahi Indeed you [Makkah] are the best of the lands of Allah and the most beloved land to Allah, and if it were not for the fact that i was expelled from you i would not have left.❞

Advice from the Salaf for the one who finds little barakah in his time

One of the Salaf once said,

"Everytime I increased upon my (daily) portion of Qur'aan, my time would increase in barakah (blessings). I kept on increasing up until my daily portion reached ten Juz' (a third of the Qur'aan)!"

Ibraaheem bin 'Abdil-Waahid al-Maqdisee said, whilst advising ad-Diyaa' al-Maqdisee who intended to go out on a journey to seek knowledge,

"Recite much Qur'aan and don't abandon it, for verily that which you want to learn will become easier in accordance with how much you recite."

ad-Diyaa' said,

"So I noticed this and experienced it much. If I recited a lot of Qur'aan then listening to many Hadeeth and writing all of them down would be easy for me, and if I didn't recite then it would become difficult."

Never back down upon speaking the truth, no matter who's eyes it hurts.

Never stop acting upon the truth, no matter who stands against you.

If you do something for Allahs sake alone, it means you will never back down from it, otherwise was it really for Allah?

If you know that Allah knows you better, does it matter what the envious and ignorant assume?

Why would you expect gratitude from people and why do you get upset when the ignorant open their mouths?

You do for Allah and you leave it and that is all that's to it.

If the ummah can betray the purest from them, then who are you to expect other than betrayal wrong assumptions and ignorant accusations?

If the Prophets were hurt the most from their own people, why do you expect to be treated different?

The age we live in:

Truth is silenced so that "my personal truth" is Not Offended.

Objectivity is silenced so that subjectivity is Not Offended.

Logic is silenced so that feelings are Not Offended.

Reality is silenced so that delusions are Not Offended.

Virtue is silenced so that fahisha is Not Offended.

Decency is silenced so that degeneracy is Not Offended.

Principle is silenced so that whims are Not Offended.

Orthodox Islam is silenced so that liberal "Islam" is Not Offended.

Islam is silenced so that false ideologies and -isms are Not Offended.

This is how we end up with watered-down "Compassionate" cotton-candy "Islam" so that deceits like liberalism, feminism, HGTV, perennialism, atheism are Not Offended.

The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) has spoken the Truth.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allāh be Pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said:

“There will come to the people years of Treachery, when the Liar will be regarded as Honest, and the Honest man will be regarded as a Liar; the Traitor will be regarded as Faithful, and the Faithful man will be regarded as a Traitor; and the Ruwaibidah will decide matters.’

It was said: ‘Who are the Ruwaibidah?’

He said: ‘Vile and Base men who control the affairs of the people.’” [Sunan Ibn Majah 4036]

If The Hearts Are Together...

Abu Sulaymān al-Khaṭābi رحمه الله gathered the following narration in 'al-Uzlah' from Ishāq ibn Ibrahīm, who said:

"Between Abdur-Rahmān ibn Mahdī and Yahya ibn Sa'īd al-Qaṭān* there was mutual love and brotherhood, and a year would pass them by without meeting. So one of them was questioned about this, and he responded:

إذا تقاربت القلوب لم يضرّ تباعد الأجسام......

'If the hearts have been brought near, the physical distance does not hurt', or words similar to this."

A teacher gave a balloon to every student, who had to inflate it, write their name on it and throw it in the hallway. The teacher then mixed all the balloons. The students were then given 5 minutes to find their own balloon. Despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon.
At that point, the teacher told the students to take the first balloon that they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on it. Within 5 minutes, everyone had their own balloon.
The teacher said to the students: "These balloons are like happiness. We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about other people's happiness, we'll find ours too."

“Something was causing me a great deal of grief and distress, and I started to think long and hard about how to get out of this situation by any means, but I could not find any way out. Then I came across this verse:

“… *And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out [of every difficulty]*.” (Surah Talaq, 65:2)

I realized that Taqwa ( piety, fearing Allah ) is the way out of every kind of grief and distress. As soon as I followed the path of Taqwa, I found the way out."
