One of the people of the past said:

We used to seek knowledge in the Masaajid, then schools opened up and the Blessing went away.

Then the chairs were introduced and humility went away!

And when certificates were introduced, sincerity went away!

👎🏼SEEKING A FELLOW CALLER'S DOWNFALL BY PUBLICIZING HIS ERROR IS NOT IN ACCORDANCE TO THE CHARACTER OF THE PROPHETS OR THE RIGHTEOUS PREDECESSORS

🎓Shaykh ʿAbd ar-Raḥmān al-Mawāsī - may Allāh preserve him - wrote:

💬❝A caller towards Allāh should rejoice when he hears about a fellow brother—in any land—who calls people towards good and teaches them. He should support him, pray for his well-being, and maintain ties with him through greetings, prayers and encouragement. If that person makes a mistake, slips, or falls short, he should advise him privately without exposing him. If he repents, he should accept it, conceal his faults, and encourage him and others to unite and avoid splitting.

As for those who seek to bring down their fellow callers, publicize their mistakes, or expose them in gatherings or on social media due to an error or shortcoming, this is a bad characteristic and not in line with the character of the Prophets or the righteous predecessors.

For the people of innovation have united to destroy the Sunnah, so do not be an ally in undermining the callers of the Sunnah and turning people away from them. Be a key to goodness and a lock against evil, and the dawʿah is expansive enough to include all those who adhere to the Sunnah, and all praise belongs to Allah.❞

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen – رحمه الله – said:

It is only a moment... then these difficulties come to an end; be patient with them. Be patient restraining your soul from its desires; be patient upon the obligations ALLAH سبحانه و تعالى has commanded you with. Be patient with the calamities that befall which are either from yourself or (calamities) from ALLAH the Exalted, or from the people. Be patient until you reach the abode of relaxation.

If sins had a smell,
nobody would sit with each other

So if you see people admiring you, then know that they're admiring you only because Allah has displayed your good side to them and covered your bad side or sins.

Be thankful to Allah and always ask for forgiveness.

Ibn Mas’ood that Allah’s Messenger (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) said:

التَّائِبُ مِنْ الذَّنْبِ كَمَنْ لَا ذَنْبَ لَهُ

“The one who repented from sin is like the one who has no sin.”

*Exaggerated and Pretentious Rhyming Can Prevent Du'ā' From Being Answered*

Al-Qurṭubī رحمه الله mentioned while explaining the Āyah, "Invoke your Lord with humility and in secret. Surely, He likes not the transgressors." • [8:55]

He mentioned various types of transgression in du'ā' and said,

"And from them, is that a person supplicates with what is neither from the Book nor the Sunnah; choosing baseless rhyming words that he found in some books which have no foundation or origin. And he makes his call, leaving off that which the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ supplicated. And all of this prevents the du'ā' from being answered."

Tests come in different ways. Sometimes it comes from people we love, parents, siblings, spouses, children, friends and other close associates. Do not be foolish, but be patient. Allah says in suratul-Furqan

"But We have made some of you a test for others to see if you will be steadfast? For your Lord is ever insightful"

Count Dhikr On Your Fingers

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

Count (Dhikr) on your fingers, for they (the fingers) will be questioned and asked to speak (on the day of judgement).

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:

“There is no day on which the people get up but two angels come down and one of them says, ‘O Allah, give in compensation to the one who spends (in charity),’ and the other says, ‘O Allah, destroy the one who withholds.’”

At-Tirmidhi (2488) narrated that ‘Abdullah ibn Mas‘ood said:

Everyone who is close to people, gentle and easy-going.”

The complain of Hell:

Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “In very hot weather delay the Dhuhr prayer till it becomes (a bit) cooler because the severity of heat is from the raging of the Hell-fire. The Hell-fire of Hell complained to its Lord saying: O Lord! My parts are eating (destroying) one another. So Allaah allowed it to take two breaths, one in the winter and the other in the summer. The breath in the summer is at the time when you feel the severest heat and the breath in the winter is at the time when you feel the severest cold.” [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (536, 537, 3260) and Saheeh Muslim (617)]

It is said that the breath in the summer is “exhaling” and in the winter is “inhaling”

Trust in Allah. You may be in a lot of pain right now and going through many hardships, but hold on to Him, be patient, and remain grateful to Allah. Be optimistic and remember His promises.
-Al Mar-atus Saliha

Allah promises ease after hardship: "For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease." (Qur'an 94:6)

He assures us that He will not burden a soul beyond its capacity: "Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear..." (Qur'an 2:286)

He also promises that those who are patient will receive a great reward: "Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account." (Qur'an 39:10)

'Ā'ishah has been reported to have said: ❝The Prophet (ﷺ) did not take care of any voluntary act of worship the way he took care of the two prayer units of Fajr.❞ (al-Bukhārī, 1169, Muslim, 724, 94 (repeated).

'Knowing A Person'

A man bore witness to ‘Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab so ‘Umar said to him: “I do not know you, but it does not matter that I do not know you. Bring me someone who does know you.”

A man among the peole said: “I know him.” ‘Umar asked: “What do you know about him?” He said: “He is of good character and is virtuous.”

‘Umar asked: “Is he your neighbour who you know by night and by day, and you know when he comes in and goes out?” The man said: “No.”

‘Umar asked: “Did h have any financial dealings with you which is the way to know whether he is God-fearing or not?” The man said: “No.”

‘Umar then asked: “Has he been your companion on a journey (safar), which is the best way to know whether he is of noble character and attitude?” The man said: “No.”

So ‘Umar said: “Then you DON'T KNOW HIM.”

Which of the Favours of Your Lord will you Deny?

Ibn al-Dunya mentioned that the Prophet Dawud (Alayhis-Salaam) asked Allaah; "What is the least of your blessings?.”Allaah revealed to him, "O Dawud, take a breath." Dawud did so, and Allaah told him: "That is the least of My Blessings on you.”
[Extracted from the book 'Patience and Gratitude' by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah]

In the quest of fulfilling our desires, are we overlooking and taking for granted the little blessings and favours in our life like security, fresh air, food, clean water, and good health!

Didn't the Messenger of Allaah said: "Whoever among you wakes up in the morning secured in his dwelling, healthy in his body, having his food for the day, then it is as if the world has been gathered for him." [Sahih al-Jami]

Shouldn't you reflect upon this verse,
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
“Which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?
