ALL INVOLVED IN AR-RIBA (INTEREST) ARE CURSED
'Abdullāh bin Mas'ud (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) cursed the one who accepts ar-Riba (Interest) and the one who pays it. {Muslim}.
The narration in At-Tirmidhi adds: And the one who records it, and the two persons who stand witness to it.
{Riyādhus-Saliḥīn || Chapter 18, Chapter 287, Hadith 1615}
COMMENTARY:
Both the parties, that is the one who charges interest and the one who pays it, are equally guilty in the matter of ar-riba (interest). This Hadith highlights the intensity of unlawfulness of ar-Riba, or what has come to be called nowadays interest which can be judged from the fact that not only the person who charges it and the one who pays it are cursed but even those who write the documents and bear witness to the transaction are condemned although the latter two have no active part in the deal. They have been condemned for their mere co-operation in the matter of interest.
Thus, we learn that even co-operation in the deal in which interest is involved is an invitation to the Curse and Wrath of ALLĀH.
The reason for such severity in the matter of interest is that Islam wants to create a society which is founded on fraternity, sympathy, selflessness and sacrifice. If someone is in need of money, the rich should fulfill his needs for the sake of ALLĀH's Pleasure or give him a loan without interest. As against the Islamic system, this system of interest is based on selfishness, exploitation and suppression.
In the interest-ridden societies, the affluent ones are not inclined to co-operate with the needy for the sake of ALLĀH. All they are concerned with is their own interest. Their lust and greed are not reduced in the slightest measure even after draining the last drop of the blood of the poor. This is the reason why Shari'ah has forbidden interest of every kind and regarded it unlawful, no matter whether the loan is for the personal need or commercial requirements.

*At times our hearts ache* for something we deeply long for, something just beyond our reach. We plan, we strive, we pray, but sometimes the answer from our Rabb is different from what we had hoped for. In those moments, it is easy to feel lost, to question why things didn't go our way. But if we truly reflect, we will realize that every choice *Allaah makes for us is wrapped in His infinte wisdom, mercy, and love for us* .
*The pain of unfulfilled wishes,* the weight of unanswered prayers, or the silence when we seek immediate relief. These are heavy burdens but Allaah sees what we cannot, He knows the hidden harm in what we long for and the unseen blessings in what we resist.
*Allaah says in Surah al Baqarah,*
_"But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you, and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allaah knows, while you know not."_
(2:216)
Perhaps that opportunity we desperately wanted would have taken us further from Him. Perhaps that hardship we tried to escape was meant to bring us closer to our true purpose. *Every “no” from Allaah is in reality,* a redirection to something far better either in this life or in the Hereafter.
So, even when we don't understand, we trust. Even when we don’t see the wisdom, we surrender. *Even when our hearts break, we remind ourselves:*
"Allaah is Al-Wadud, the Most Loving. Al-Hakeem, the Most Wise. Al-Raheem, the Most Merciful."
*Ya Allaah* , when our hearts waver, strengthen them with trust in You. When we don't understand, grant us patience and replace our worries with contentment, our pain with perseverance, and our losses with something far better. Make us among those who submit fully to Your wisdom and find true peace in Your decree.

2. The next hour is the hour immediately after Fajr - it is the hour for Tilawah and Dhikr. Make Dhikr of Allah, read the Quran and then perform the the two raka't nafil prayer of Ishraq. It is reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, by performing this nafil, one gets the reward of one who has performed Hajj and Umrah.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Jibreel:
“Why have I never seen Meekāeel laugh?"
He said: “Meekāeel has not laughed since the Hellfire was created."
[As-Silsilatu As-Saheeha, 2511].
“Meekāeel, according to some people of knowledge is the angel entrusted with the rain & clouds. What is derived from the narration is that Meekāeel was created before the creation of the Hellfire; & (in it) is an affirmation that the angels laugh & possess an immense fear. & this fear is very important in the life of the worshipper, because if a person gets accustomed to disobedience & persists upon it he does not pay attention to fearing (Allāh & His punishment). He looks at the generality & expansiveness of Allāh’s forgiveness (& mercy); so he remains continuous upon disobedience & his condition is like that of a stubborn individual - this is not from having good thoughts of Allāh.”

A GOOD LIFE IS CONNECTED TO PATIENCE AND CONTENTMENT.
The reason for sadness in life is missing out on quick fortunes.
There is no continuous happiness in life, except for one who is occupied with the pleasure of his loved one, and being occupied in preparation to meet HIM.
If he finds happiness in this life then he uses it to assist him in acquiring the Hereafter. And if he finds hardship, then he assumes patience as a reward for the Hereafter.
He is content with all that happens to him. He believes this to be from whatever ALLĀH has destined and understands that it is HIS will.
A poet said: “If me staying awake pleases you, then farewell to falling asleep.”
He who seeks fortune will become frustrated if he did not achieve it. He becomes a different person if he becomes poor or humiliated.
This is because he is seeking his desire.
How eloquent was what Al-Husri said: “I owe myself nothing, and have nothing to do with myself!”
These are words of a learned person, because he contemplates the reality of ownership. A servant may not object to HIS master’s orders, and his wish that things were different than they are is of no consequence.
“ALLĀH has indeed purchased from the believers their lives and wealth in exchange for Paradise.” [at- Tawbah: 111]
He looks at himself as owned by ALLĀH. A person, who sells a lamb to another, must not object if the buyer slaughters the lamb.
By ALLĀH! If the Owner says, ‘I have only created you as a proof of my existence, then I will make you vanish and never resurrect you’, then good souls must say: ‘We listen and obey, what do we own of ourselves for us to say anything?’
The journey requires a lot of perseverance. Once the final destination seen from a distance however, all tiredness will disappear.
So beginners! Be patient, for the destination is seen. And those who truly know ALLĀH ought to be happy, because they will be greeted with glad-tidings.

Gems From the Books
The esteemed scholar Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, expressed in his book "Al-Daa' wa al-Dawaa" (The Disease and the Cure):
"If you want to discern what lies within the heart, pay attention to the movements of the tongue, for it reveals the heart's contents, whether the speaker wishes it or not.
Yahya ibn Mu'adh remarked, 'Hearts are like pots that boil with their contents, and tongues are their ladles. Observe a person as they speak; their tongue draws from what resides in their heart: sweet and sour, pleasant and bitter, and more. The way a tongue draws forth illustrates the flavor of the heart.'"

Individuals need to understand that excessive people-pleasing is not love, it’s fear.
The simple reality is that many *people-pleasers* confuse pleasing people with kindness. For many, the eagerness to please stems from self-worth issues. They hope that saying yes to everything asked of them will help them feel accepted and liked. This is a deep rooted problem, especially within some cultures.
