Bitter Truth: Our love is rarely for the sake of Allah. What Islam teaches versus the harsh reality.

Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) (32 AH) said:

"Indeed, faith (iman) is that a person loves another person, not because of a close family relationship or wealth that he has given him, but solely for the sake of Allah."

(As-Sunnah by Abu Bakr ibn al-Khallal: 4/79)

Reality is different.

Al-Shawkaani رحمه الله said:

I spent some of my nights on bed turning over and remembering hadith of Prophet (ﷺ) "For those who love one another for the sake of Allaah, will be seated on the pulpits of light (on the Day of Resurrection), and they will be envied by the Prophets and martyrs".

So I used to turn over and over, how to understand this hadith.

How the love for the sake of Allaah, is envied by the Prophets and martyrs and on the seats of light.

I said the love is present among the people, most of which is not for the sake of Allaah,

A husband loves his wife, not for the sake of Allaah,
A wife loves her husband, not for the sake of Allaah,
Parents love their children, not for the sake of Allaah,
Children love their parents, not for the sake of Allaah,

And likewise:

You love the prince,
You love the businessman,
You love the Manager,
You love someone for his beauty, for his voice, for his money,...

I knew that the love for the sake of Allaah is rarer than red sulfur! "

What does "Allahul Musta'aan" mean. Please read.

Allah is Al-Musta’aan. This means that not only that Allah is the Helper (An-Naseer), but He is the only one whose help first and foremost should be sought. He is the One who knows, sees, hears and controls all affairs and therefore His help is PERFECT at ALL times.

We should say Allaahul Musta’aan.

Each prayer in Al Fatiha we say: You alone do we worship, and You alone do we turn for help [Quran, 1:5]

Do we really seek His help? Allaahul musta’aan is a beautiful statement we can find twice in the Quran.

In Surah Yuusuf, when Yaqoob alaihis salaams sons clearly described something that had not taken place to Yaqoob; no wolf ate Yuusuf, but what could Yaqoob do? All he could do was turn to Allah and he said: Allaahul musta’aanu ‘alaa ma tasifoon – And Allah is the one sought for help against that which you describe.[Quran, 12:18]

We can learn to use this dhikr when falsehood is presented as truth which causes you or others difficulty.

In Surah Al-‘Anbiyaa the Prophet (ﷺ) used this statement himself when disbelievers were disrespecting Allah: wa Rabbunar-Rahmaanul Musta’aan’alaa maa tasifoon– And our Lord is the Most Merciful, the One Whose help is sought against that which you describe [Quran, 21:112]

No matter what your situation is, seek Al-Musta’aan help FIRST and foremost.

Ibn Abbaas [رضي الله عنه] said: One day, I was riding behind the Prophet when he said: O boy! I will instruct you in some matters. Protect the commandments of Allah, He will preserve you. Safeguard His Rights, He will be ever with you. If you seek help, seek help from Allah alone; and if you need assistance, supplicate to Allah Alone for help. And remember that if all the people gather to benefit you, they will not be able to benefit you except that which Allah had foreordained (for you); and if all of them gather to do harm to you, they will not be able to afflict you with anything other than that which Allah had pre-destined against you. The pens had been lifted and the ink had dried up. [At-Tirmidhee]

Focus less on people, don’t fear the effect of anyone’s decisions and know that even if people seem to benefit you, the true source is Al-Musta’aan.

Even though you are permitted to seek help from others; it is crucial you FIRST call on Al-Musta’aan to provide help and rely on Him alone and not on others.

So next time you borrow money of a friend, or even ask a teacher to help you understanding a lesson, or you have lost your keys, or ur car won't start, first ask Allah to help and guide you. He WILL provide His help, in ways you cannot imagine sometimes by means of other people or even objects or animals (think of the birds who destroyed the army of Abraha described in Surah Al-Feel)!

So turn to Him & seek His help first in every situation.

Living by the Qur’ān: The Path to True Success

Imām Ibn al-Qayyim said:

"The people of the Qur'ān are those who read it and act upon it, even if they haven't memorised it." Zād al-Ma'ād [1/327]

“How can we live without understanding the words of our Rabb?

The eyes weep at its meaning, sleep fades in its depth, and hearts find strength through it.

True guidance is not just found in reciting the Qur’ān, but in living its meaning.”

We are living in the end times. Soon, death and destruction will shake the world. Tragedies will rise, poverty and sorrow will spread, and the illusion of comfort will fade. In these dark moments, only one path brings light, the Qur’an and the Sunnah. Holding onto them firmly is the remaining hope. Worldly pleasures will pass, but faith remains. True success is to live for God and die upon His path. We will return to him only a matter of time. This world is not our home. it's just the journey.

“Six matters that are linked to the prayer have been indicated as marks of hypocrisy:

١. Laziness when one stands up to pray

٢. Intending to show off with one’s prayer

٣. Delaying the prayer

٤. Praying in an extremely hasty manner

٥. Barely remembering Allah during the prayer

٦. Abandoning the congregational prayer.”

Benefit of the day: Leave your affairs in the hands of Allah, for He is the Best of planners. What is written for you will never pass you by, and what is not meant for you will never reach you. Trust His wisdom, even when you don't understand His timing. Every delay is a blessing, and every unanswered prayer is for your benefit. Let go of the worry that consumes your heart, for it cannot change His decree. Keep your faith strong, and know that His mercy is far greater than your desires. Surrender your plans to Him, and you will find peace beyond understanding. When you make dua, trust in His response, for He knows what's best for you.

3 Essentials for Happiness

‎The Prophet ﷺ was asked: “What kind of wealth should we acquire?”

‎He replied: “Let one of you acquire:

‎ A thankful heart,

‎a tongue that remembers Allah,

‎and a believing wife who will aid him with regard to the Hereafter.”

"Falsehood will never be able to stand in the face of the truth! That is why any enemy of Islam is not afraid of anyone except those who hold on to the true authentic religion: The way of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his Companions (the Salaf as-Saalih). For this reason we find that the enemies of Islam leave every caller of falsehood from those ascribing to Islam from the deviated sects (such as Sufis, Ikhwaani, Tableeghi and so forth), to do as they wish. On the other hand, if there is a person who follows the Sunnah of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, then they fear him, harass him and put pressure on him. This is because they fear of the truth that he carries. A person of truth brings awe to the hearts of the enemies of the religion. We should never belittle the truth that we carry; It is an absolute truth and it is aided by Allah." From the Article: http://religion-of-islam.com/al-haqq

When a calamity befalls a person while he is in a good state, it is a trial; and when it befalls him while he is in an evil state, it is a punishment.

Miswak, a teeth-cleaning twig made from the Salvadora Persica tree, holds significant importance in Islam due to its many benefits and the emphasis placed on it by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Here are some reasons why the Miswak is considered important:

1. Sunnah of the Prophet:

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) frequently used the Miswak and encouraged his followers to do so.

He said,

"Were it not that I might overburden my followers, I would have commanded them to use the Miswak before every prayer."

(Sahih Bukhari)

2. Oral Hygiene:

The Miswak is a natural toothbrush that not only cleans the teeth but also freshens the breath.

It has antibacterial properties that help prevent tooth decay and gum disease.

3. Spiritual Benefits:

Using the Miswak is a recommended practice before performing acts of worship to maintain cleanliness.

It also helps in purifying the mouth for reciting the Quran and making du'a.

4. Health Benefits:

Regular use of the Miswak is known to improve oral health, fight bad breath, and strengthen gums.

It is a natural and eco-friendly alternative to modern toothbrushes.

5. Reward from Allah:

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said,

"If it were not that it would be hard on my community, I would have ordered them to use Miswak with every prayer."

(Sahih Bukhari)

This indicates that using the Miswak carries blessings and rewards from Allah.

Note:📝🧾📑✍️🖊️📖

the Miswak is a simple yet powerful tool that combines physical, spiritual, and health benefits.

It is highly recommended in Islam and is considered a Sunnah that brings blessings and rewards to those who use it regularly.

Allah says in surah al-Shuraa [42]:

Ownership of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah. He creates whatever He wants. He grants daughters to whomever He wants and He grants sons to whomever He wants or He grants them both sons and daughters. And He makes whomever He wishes barren. He is All-Knowing, All-Powerful. [49-50]

In part of his commentary on this ayah, al-Qurtubi wrote:

[قال واثلة بن الأسقع : إن من يمن المرأة تبكيرها بالأنثى قبل الذكر ، وذلك أن الله تعالى قال : يهب لمن يشاء إناثا ويهب لمن يشاء الذكور فبدأ بالإناث]

Wathilah ibn al-Asqa' said: One of a woman's good qualities is that she gives birth to a daughter before a son. That aligns with what Allah said, "He grants daughters to whomever He wants and He grants sons to whomever He wants," for He began with daughters.
