MERCY || Giving respite to debtors

Rasulullaah ﷺ said that the person who wishes that Allaah relieved his worries on the Day of Qiyaamah should give respite to poor debtors or waive their debts.

Imaam al-Bukhaari (may Allaah have mercy on him) reported in his Saheeh that Aaishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saying: Souls are like connoscripted soldiers; those whom they recognize, they get along with, and those whom they do not recognize, they will not get along with.

(Saheeh al-Bukhaari, Kitaab Ahaadeeth al-Anbiyaa, Baab al-Arwaah junood mujannadah).

Ibn Hajar (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in his commentary on the hadeeth: Concerning the phrase Souls are like connoscripted soldiers al-Khattaabi said: This may refer to their similarity as regards good or evil, righteousness or corruption. Good people are inclined towards other good people, and evil people are similarly inclined towards other evil people. Souls feel affinity with others according to the nature in which they were created, good or evil. If souls natures are similar, they will get along, otherwise they will not be on good terms with one another. It could be that what is being referred to is the beginning of creation in the realm of the unseen when, it is reported, souls were created before bodies, and used to meet one another and express their pessimism about the future. When souls have entered bodies (come to the physical realm) they may recognize one another from the past, and may be on friendly terms or otherwise based on that past experience💯

— Imām Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (رحمه اللّٰه)

Your life in the present moment is in between the past and the future. So what has preceded can be rectified by tawbah (repentance), nadam (regret) and istighfār (seeking Allāh’s forgiveness). And this is something that will neither tire you, nor cause you to toil as you would with strenuous labour. Rather it is an action of the heart. Then as regards the future (then it can be corrected) by withholding yourself from sins. And this abandonment is merely the leaving of something and to be at ease from it. This also is not action of the limbs, which requires you to strive and toil. Rather this is a firm resolve and intention of the heart – which will give rest to your body, heart and thoughts.

So as for what has preceded, then you rectify it with repentance. And as for the future – then you rectify it with firm resolve and intention. Neither of these involves any hardship or exertion of the limbs.

But then your attention must be directed to your life in the present – the time between two times. If you waste it, then you have wasted the opportunity to be of the fortunate and saved ones. If you look after it, having rectified the two times – what is before and after it, as we have said – then you will be successful and achieve rest, delight and ever-lasting bliss. However, looking after it is harder than that which comes before and after it, since guarding it involves keeping to that which is most befitting and beneficial for your soul, and that which will bring it success and well-being.

Being yourself is not about:

︎ Staying the same.
︎ Avoiding growth.
︎ Being stagnant in old habits.

Authenticity, in Islam, is understanding your true self as a creation of Allah SWT...

... and from that foundation, striving to become the best version of yourself.

Momin seeks constant improvement and alignment with his purpose.

■ It is okay to upgrade your beliefs.
As long as they align with the truth revealed by Allah SWT and the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ.

■ It is okay to challenge what you thought was true. But always in the pursuit of truth.

■ It is okay to question your old ways. If they don't align with your growth towards righteousness.

In Islam, growth is a lifelong journey.

It's good to make space for new ways of thinking, as long as it is rooted in taqŵa and seeking the truth.

Being real doesn't mean being rigid.

It means being grounded in your values,
while striving to become better in all aspects of your life - with humility, faith and openness to change.

Some people are loyal like horses.
Others, disloyal like donkeys.
If you’ve been betrayed—listen carefully—
it was never your fault.

You gave loyalty.
You gave softness.
You gave sincerity.
And that… is not a weakness.

The world will test you through people.
Some will walk with you only when the road is smooth.
Their loyalty is not to you—
but to their own comfort.
When storms hit, they vanish.
When silence falls, they grow loud with blame.
And you’re left standing in the ruins of something
you thought was real.

But let me tell you—
Some souls are like horses.
Strong. Quiet. Faithful.
Even when unspoken.
Even when unseen.
Even when others flee, they stay.
Why?
Because their loyalty comes from taqwa,
From akhlaaq, not agenda.

If they left you,
if they turned on you,
if they betrayed you—
it says more about them
than it ever could about you.🌙

Don’t harden your heart.
Don’t become like them.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) was betrayed too.
But he stayed just.
He stayed kind.
He stayed anchored in Allah.

Your loyalty was never wasted.
It was recorded by the One who sees everything.
So walk on.
With dignity.
With grace.
With a heart still soft.

You were loyal.
That is enough.
That is victory.

“There is no faith for one who cannot be trusted. There is no religion for one who cannot uphold a covenant.”
~Prophet ﷺ

In times like these where the truth is seen as falsehood and falsehood is seen as the truth, one really needs to beg Allah سبحانه وتعالى for guidance, sincerity and steadfastness.

"The true calamity is not that a person is afflicted with harm to himself, his wealth, or his children.

Rather, the great disaster is when a person is afflicted in his religion.

Doubt takes the place of certainty, so he sees falsehood as truth, truth as falsehood, good as evil, and evil as good."

Allahu akbar.

It was narrated from Thabit that Anas said:
“Salman felt sick and Sa’d came to visit him, and when he saw him he wept. Sa’d said to him: ‘Why are you weeping, my brother? Are you not a Companion of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)? Are you not? Are you not?’ Salman said: ‘I am only weeping for one reason: I am not weeping because of longing for this world or for dislike of the Hereafter. But the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gave me some advice and I think that I have transgressed.’ He said: ‘What was his advice to you?’ He said: ‘He advised me that something like the provision of a rider is sufficient for anyone of you, and I think that I have transgressed that. As for you, O Sa’d, fear Allah when you pass a verdict, and when you distribute (spoils of war), and when you decide to do anything.’”

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Have you ever thought that the body you are so busy taking care of, pampering, perfecting, beautifying is only a carrier… a vehicle for something far greater which is your soul.
The body we are so concerned about and spend so much time, energy and money upon is temporary as it will return to the dust it came from but our soul will stand before Allah , either glowing in light or darkened in regret.
Our condition as Muslims is just as if you imagine someone who spend all his energy cleaning and polishing a car while the man inside that car is dying… this is exactly what we do when we serve our bodies but starve our souls and thats why we see people in miserable conditions with anxiety, stress, sleeplessness and all sorts of mental illnesses because the soul is calling from inside.. these mental issues are a cry from the soul reminding the purpose of this life and the final destination of us as human beings returning back to Allah.
The sad reality of this world is that people chase outward beauty, fame, and comfort while their true self, their soul, is left forgotten, sick, and dying.Allah warns us in the Quran :

“And do not be like those who forgot Allah, so He made them forget their own souls. Those are the defiantly disobedient.”
(Surah Hashr 59:19)

Remember!! Take care of your soul. Feed it. Heal it & Save it….dont be a slave to the mirror while ignoring the eternal face you will show to Allah.

Umar ibn al-Khattab reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, deeds are only with intentions, and every person will have only what they intended. Whoever emigrated to Allah and His Messenger, his emigration is for Allah and His Messenger. Whoever emigrated to get something in the world or to marry a woman, his emigration is for that to which he emigrated.”

Trials & Difficulties

Shaykh Muqbil Bin Hadi Al-Wada’aee [رحمه الله] said:

❝If you are afflicted with a difficulty and hardship then perhaps that difficulty is good for you.

Whether that difficulty is in your wealth or on your body or in anything which pains and worries you.

Perhaps that will be a means to raise your rank in the worldly life and the Hereafter. Perhaps it will be a purification from Allaah Azza Wa Jal.❞

PROPHETIC CURES || Treatment with Methi (fenugreek)

Rasulullaah ﷺ said, “Seek a cure in Methi (fenugreek).”

[Zaadul Ma'aad (Vol.4 Pg.269), from Hadhrat Qaasin bin Adbur Rahmaan]

Methi (fenugreek) is effective in treating colds, stubborn coughs, ulcers and lung diseases. It is also very effective in eradicating phlegm.

This is what Shaykh al Islam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله reminded us to do 🥹

“If a slave finds that he has fallen short in the rights of his close relatives, family (spouse, parents, siblings), children, neighbors or his brothers (companions), then upon him is to make du’a for them and to seek forgiveness (from Allah) (istighfar).”

*We are living in such a weird time. *

.The poor want to swag and show the entire world they are living large.
.The rich are desperate to find a single person who is actually interested in them - and not their money.
.Those in war zones are crying out for peace.
.Those in safety want to prove who can cause the greatest devastation. .
.The old use botox to hide the wrinkles and would do anything in this world to look slightly younger.
.The young buy clothes and makeup to look just a bit older and revealing.

.Those with light-skin pay thousands to get a bit of a tan.
.Those with dark skin spend fortunes on products to look a touch lighter.

.The skinny want to gain a little weight to feel more beautiful.
.The overweight would do anything to shed fat so they could feel more accepted.
.The tall are sick of standing out.
.The short look in the mirror every day wanting to be slightly bigger.

.Parents pray for a little free time away from the kids.
.Those without children yearn for the gift of a newborn.
.The married are frustrated with their partners.
.The singles are fed up of being alone.

.Leaders secretly wish they did not have all these responsibilities.
.Followers wish they could take the seat of accountability.

.The employed are desperate to sit home and chill.
.The unemployed are going crazy and running around trying to find a job.
.People on one side of the planet are sick of all the rain.
.On the other side of the world, people are praying for a single drop.

"If only my nose was straighter! If only my bank balance was bigger! If only... if only..."

Everyone dreams of "If only" but In reality - Allah knows what is best for us.
Everyone thinks that the next man is living better than him.
Everyone assumes the grass is always greener on the other side. That is not the case. All of us believe that people out there are living perfect lives, but we forgot that nothing in the dunya is what it seems.

Perfection is only in the Next World. Allah said, "And few from My servants are truly thankful." The Prophet ﷺ did not stand up or sit down without showing gratitude to Allah. He said if you wake in the morning with food on your plate, with security in your home and with good health then you have been given the treasures of the world. How often we forget that! Our Lord said, "If you are thankful - I shall surely increase you."

Allah is there...!!!

When Ibrahim عليه السلام was commanded to leave Hajr (his wife) and Isma’eel (his newborn) in the desert, she asked him, ' O Ibrahim, will you leave us here?' He didn't answer, she asked him again but no answer. Then she asked 'O Ibrahim, did Allah command you to leave us here?' He replied, 'Yes'. Do you know what she said? She said, 'Then Allah will not let us down!'

That’s faith! And as a reward she got the well of Zamzam after this, because she said this, she said ‘Allah will not let us down!' And look at the Zamzam water, the blessing of Allah to her and her child, people are still drinking from it since that time till today and it’ll continue until the judgement day. It’s the best water on Earth, a cure for everything!

The water of zamzam is for whatever you drink it for!!

See the belief she had, this is a baby and a woman in a desert abandoned and alone, hot, thirsty and with nothing. Ibrahim left them with nothing but very little.

Allah took care of them and the same Lord, Allah, the One, the Only One, He is there to take care of you when you ask Him

Hadith on Siwak: Clean your mouth for the angels, the Quran

Ali reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, when the servant uses the toothstick and then stands to pray, an angel stands behind him and listens to his recitation. The angel draws near until his mouth coincides with his and nothing of the Quran comes out of it but that it enters the heart of the angel. Thus, purify your mouths for the Quran.”
