*“Then he began to cry…”*

Shaykh ‘Abdur-Razzaq al-Badr mentioned an incident that an old man came to him and said:

“O Shaykh, I have not memorised anything (of Quran) except for Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah Al-Ikhlaas and I stand in prayer every night for 2 hours…”

then he began to cry and asked:

“O Shaykh is it permissible for me to keep repeating them (the two surahs in every prayer)?'”

Shaykh ‘Abdur-Razzaq al-Badr said:

“Look at this one and his 'Ibaadah

and look at the one who has memorized all of the Quran yet he sleeps until the Fajr prayer!”

because it's really hard to deal with people, hard to live with them, and very hard to bear the noise.
from dealing with toxic parents to handling the toxic friendships, everything is messed up, creating new ideas of hyper individualism and loneliness, beautifying the let go of every relation you come across that makes you a little uncomfortable, yes sure, you should leave the table that doesn't respect you or where you feel inferior (except that it's your own inferiority complex), but there should be a balance na? if you go on leaving people like that, what'll you have in the end? loneliness? believe me just how much aesthetic it sounds it's actually really very tormenting.
i read somewhere,"parents and children are bound to break each other's hearts, parents break their children's heart and children break their parents' hearts, you might not have birthed them, but if they break your heart that means they're yours."
because some people are just too precious to lose, learn to cherish the people you've around you. the inconveniences they bring, before they're lost forever. learn to keep a balance between letting go, and giving a few more chances.
but then it just takes one phone call, one heartfelt chat, one video call or a meetup to get things back together.

❝Whoever seeks a friend without faults will live life alone. Whoever seeks a spouse without shortcomings will live life as a bachelor. Whoever seeks a loved one without problems will live life forever searching. And whoever seeks a relative who is perfect will live life cutting ties.❞
- Shaykh Muhammad Mutawalli Ash-Sha'raawi

Become a little deaf and a little blind to the faults of people. Learn to see good in everyone and give people excuses.

Shaytan will try his hardest to amplify someone's mistake and diminish the good someone's done for you.

Perfect people are reserved for Jannah.

Learn to be easy on your own heart and on the hearts of others.

Don't let people walk over you and treat you like a doormat but also don't be quick to cancel and cut people off too quickly. Give people chances.

Bukhoor and its uses: keeping it sunnah

Bukhoor is mubāh (permissible) and often recommended

The Salaf based on narrations used fragrance or incense on Jumu’ah (Friday)

From Ibn ‘Umar (Radiallahu Anhu)

“The Prophet Sallahu Allayhi Wasalam used to wear perfume on Fridays.”
- Sahih Al Bukhari, 910

It may be used to perfume the masjid or clothes on the day of Jumu’ah

Scholar opinions:

Sheikh Ibn Baz: There is nothing wrong with perfuming the mosque with incense (Bukhoor) as long as there is no harm.” - Fatawa Nur Ala Al-Darb

Bukhoor is often used in cultural gatherings and is often seen as a sign of respect for guests in the Middle East and Arabian Peninsula.

However claiming it helps for spiritual cleansing, ruqyah, evil eye, jinn, this is biddah. There is also no valid evidence in the sunnah.

"This is forbidden. It is not permissible to use bukhoor to drive away the jinn-this has not been mentioned. The jinn are repelled by seeking refuge with Allah, reciting the Qur'an, and remembering Allah. As for bukhoor, there is no basis for this, rather it is a bid'ah (innovation)."

“The ignorant one complains about Allah to the people (by complaining about his hardships), and this shows the extreme ignorance of the one who is complaining and the one who he is complaining to. For indeed if he truly knew his Rabb, he would not have complained about him, and if he truly knew the people he would not have complained to them.

And someone from the Salaf saw a man complaining to someone about his needs, so he said to him:

“O you, you have not done anything more than complain about the one who is Merciful to you”

And it has also been said regarding this:

“And if you complain to the son of Adam, you are indeed complaining about the one who is Merciful to the one who isn’t.”

Ibn ‘Umar and his father, narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:

O those who believed by tongue and the belief has yet to enter their hearts! Do not back-bite Muslims, and do not pursue their faults and failures. If someone pursues someone else’s faults, Allah will expose his faults, and if Allah exposes someone’s faults, He will disgrace him even if he is inside his home. [Ahmad, Abu Dawood, An-Nasa’i, Ibn Majah, and At-Tirmithi]

Ibn ‘Asakir says, “The honor of the scholars is sacred and it is the norm of Allah to take revenge on those who slander them. Whoever gives full reign to his tongue to insult the scholars and expose their faults, Allah will cause his heart to die within his body.”

If the Muslim hears a Muslim scholar make a mistake, then he should clarify this mistake in a respectful and wise manner and, more importantly, substantiate his clarification with textual evidence from Islamic tradition.

Our righteous predecessors used to write responses to one another; however, they would be committed to ethical standards in their writings.

Embrace life's ups and downs with a thankful and patient heart, trusting that periods of ease and difficulty have wisdom and benefits decreed by Allāh. 'Abd Al-Mālik ibn Sālih said to Harūn al-Rashīd:

سرّك الله فيما ساءك، ولا ساءك فيما سرّك، وجعل هذه بهذه جزاء للشاكر وثوابا للصابر

"May Allāh delight you with what troubles you, and not trouble you with what delights you; and may He make this in place of that - a reward for the grateful and a recompense for the patient."

3 levels of Believers.

1] The one who strives for Allah & his deen.
2] The lone worshipper.
3] The one who atleast doesn't cause harm to others.

Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

Someone asked Messenger of Allah ﷺ:

"Who is the best man?"

He ﷺ answered, "A believer who strives in the Cause of Allah with his life and his wealth."

The man asked: "Who is the next?"

He said, "One who retires into a narrow valley and worships his Rabb."

Another narration is: Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "One who fears Allah and safeguards people against his own mischief."

[Al-Bukhari & Muslim]

----------

A believer seeks protection from the evil of his own soul before seeking protection from the evil of Shaytan. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of "ourselves" and from the bad consequences of our deeds, may Allah protect us and others from it.

Giving the poor more in charity than they expected, to bring them joy.

Ibn Jawzi said:

Many of the pious predecessors (salaf) were not content with giving the poor only what sufficed them. Rather, they would give them more than they hoped for, in order to attain the reward of witnessing their joy.

It has been narrated from Ibn al-Mubarak that he once saw a poor woman taking a dead duck. He asked her about it, and she said:

"We haven't eaten in days."
So he gave her approximately one thousand dinars.

NARRATING A HADITH, Hadhrat Abduah Ibn Abbaas (Radhiyallahu anhu) said:

“There will dawn an age over the people when they shall go for Hajj and Umrah in abundance without (a sincere) niyyat. The world will gush on them. They will indulge in sport and amusement. Travelling will become light for them. His (the one who goes for Hajj/Umrah) neighbour will be hungry or naked or in debt.

His (the one going for Hajj/Umrah) camel will race with him across wastelands and deserts, whilst verily, he leaves behind his brother in (financial) distress and without assisting him with money. Meanwhile they will proclaim that they have spent thousands.

‘But Allah accepts from only the Muttaqeen.”

This Hadith beautifully attests to the truth of Rasulullah’s Nubuwwat. One of the evidences for the truth of Nubuwwat is the materialization of the Nabi’s predictions. The Hadith vividly depicts the condition of Muslims in times in close proximity to Qiyaamah.

The specific sign of Qiyaamah described in this Hadith is the bogey of false hajj and umrah which people undertake for worldly, nafsaani and corrupt motives. Reflect on this Hadith, and you will not fail to discern its 100% applicability to the multitudes of people going for ‘hajj’ and ‘umrah’ in this age.

Let us examine the Hadith and understand its reference to the hajj/umrah fashion of our time.

Hajj and Umrah in abundance, millions and millions of people are travelling to Makkah all round the year ostensibly to perform Hajj and Umrah. The abundance of juhala, fussaaq, fujjaar and slaves of the nafs and dunya has created chaos and anarchy right inside the Haramain Shareefain. The atmosphere and environment of the Haramain and of the Haram are polluted with physical and spiritual contamination. The sanctity of the Holy Places is being defiled by haraam, fisq and fujoor.

Total intermingling of sexes, ‘zaanis and ‘zaaniyahs’ parading in the Haram, an epidemic of haraam photography, mockery of Salaat, noise and rowdyism in the Haram, men and women physically brushing against one another, professional begging, scholars for dollars sitting right inside the Haram engaging in haraam commercial dealings such as getting customers for iqaamah permits, etc., etc.

Without sincere Niyyat the droves of people proceeding for Nafl Umrah and Nafl Hajj go for a variety of corrupt reasons. People a willing to spend tens of thousands of rands on Nafl Umrah but hardly read 2 Rak’aats of Nafl Salaah in their daily lives at home.

According to another Hadith their intentions will be commercial, monetary, touring, holidaying, begging and riya (show/ ostentation). The proof for the corrupt intentions is that most people who go to Makkah and Madinah, spend exceedingly little time in Ibaadat in the Haramain Shareefain.

They waste their times in the haraam kuffaar-style malls, etc. They indulge in gluttony, devouring carrion and just every haraam junk ‘foodtsuff’ the West dumps into the Holy Cities with the blessings of the current corrupt, fussaaq/ fujjaar Saudi regime. When they return from their hajj/umrah holidays, they come back morally more debased than their earlier condition prior to the holiday umrah trip.

Indulgence in amusement to fulfil the corrupt and bestial desires of the dishonest frauds who go ostensibly for hajj/umrah, the Saudi regime has transformed the Holy Cities into filthy westernized holiday resorts. The haraam malls and amusement centres prepared specifically for the multitudes of people ostensibly arriving for hajj/umrah are the fulfilment of the prediction stated in the Hadith: “They will indulge in play and amusement.”

Travelling will become light relative to the arduous journeys of the camel age, is the comfortable air travel. Never ever could people fourteen centuries ago travelling on camels comprehend the meaning of ‘travel becoming light’. This statement of the Hadith refers to plane travel.
Neighbour – hungry, naked and in debt Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) in this statement draws attention to the callousness of those who undertake ‘hajj’ and ‘umrah’ amusement tours. While they spend hundreds of thousands of rands for the tour, their neighbours and other poor Muslims are struggling to make ends meet. Innumerable Muslims are suffering and struggling for food, clothes and to pay their debts. Without a care or a feeling for the suffering Muslims, the tourists proceed on their journey of play and amusement in the name of hajj and umrah. This is the stark reality of the time.

Billionaire traders will go for umrah holidays twice and even thrice a year, squander tens of thousands of rands in hotel accommodation and pleasure pursuits whilst Muslims in their community are struggling to make ends meet, and whilst they pay their working staff a pittance as wages. They can waste hundreds of thousands in holidaying, but lack the little spiritual stamina of the heart to upgrade the living standards of their workers, both in their business and in their homes. Their hearts are like stone or harder.

“His (the one going for Hajj/Umrah) camel will race with him across wastelands and deserts, whilst verily, he leaves behind his brother in (financial) distress and without assisting him with money. Meanwhile they will proclaim that they have spent thousands. ‘But Allah accepts from only the Muttaqeen.”

The “racing of the camel across wastelands and deserts” depicts air-travel. How swiftly does the plane traverse across deserts, wastelands and oceans! While these imposter pilgrims will proudfully proclaim the huge amounts they squander in their haraam holiday journeys to the Holy Cities, their brethren will be grieving in suffering and debt. They will waste hundreds of thousands, but never will it occur to them to pay the debts of struggling Muslims.

On the contrary, they will press and harass their debtors, and conduct themselves like robots in their businesses, devoid of mercy, feeling and pity for the poor, their debtors and their workers. They just lack the taufeeq to increase the wages which the huge amounts annually squandered on haraam trips can easily accommodate.

They should remember that their mock umrahs are struck into their faces with rejection and wrath. Allah Ta’ala accepts only the efforts of the Muttaqeen, and the Muttaqeen do not waste and squander like shayaateen on haraam.

“In fact man has insight over himself, even though he puts forth excuses.”

(Qur’aan)
