Luqmān was an Ethiopian Slave who was a carpenter.
His master said to him:
"Slaughter this sheep for us," so he slaughtered it.
His master said: "Bring the best two pieces from it," so he brought out the tongue and the heart.
Them time passed, as much as Allāh willed, and his master said: "Slaughter this sheep for us," so he slaughtered it.
His master said: "Bring the worst two morsels from it," so he brought out the tongue and the heart.
His master said to him: "I told you to bring out the best two pieces, and you brought these, then I told you bring out the worst two pieces, and you brought these!"
Luqmān said: "There is nothing better than these if they are good, and there is nothing worse than these if they are bad."

The Qur’an gives us many cases of people who act based on their desires or what they feel and want in the moment.
The brothers of Yusuf عليه السلام acted on their envy.
The wife of the Aziz acted on her lusts.
The women of Egypt acted on their haughtiness and spread gossip.
The leaders of Quraish and Bani Israel acted on their arrogance.
The men of the garden acted on their greed and refused to share their fruits with the poor.
Shaytan acted on his envy and continues to be too arrogant to seek forgiveness from Allah.
They all share one thing in common: they act from a place of desire. What they do rests upon what they *feel* like doing or what feels good, even if it is wrong.
They treat people based on how they feel and what they want. They lack character, consistency, and a sense of self that is rooted in their relationship with Allah.
And the Qur’an gives us many cases of people who restrain themselves even when it’s difficult for the sake of Allah.
Yusuf عليه السلام refuses to acquiesce to the wife of the Aziz regardless of desire. He refuses to seek revenge toward his brothers regardless of their betrayal. He refuses to respond to his brothers’ hurtful comments regardless of his pain.
Yaqub عليه السلام forgives his sons regardless of his grief because of their deceitful scheming.
Musa عليه السلام chooses to face Firawn regardless of his fear.
The Prophet ﷺ continued to preach and prayed for Quraish regardless of the sting of rejection and betrayal from his own people.
All these people share one thing in common: they act based on their values. Based on what would please Allah. Values are eternal and feelings are fleeting, so they act based on those eternal truths and take them as a guiding compass.
It takes practice and you won’t always get it right. But clinging to your values will guide you to recognize that you made a mistake and immediately seek to rectify it for Allah. That’s what separated Adam عليه السلام and Shaytan.

How true is that.
Nowadays, women seem to have a 'two-nation theory' regarding their in-laws' house...
They insist on having a separate house for themselves, but expect their sister-in-law (the brother's wife) to continue living with the in-laws. For them, it's not just the mother-in-law and sisters-in-law who are problematic; their sisters-in-law (their brothers' wives) are also considered problematic...
They want a hefty, fixed dowry (Mehr) for themselves, but insist that their sister-in-law's dowry should be the minimal 'Shar'i' (Islamic) amount.
When it comes to their own rights, they remember every single one, whether legitimate or not. But concerning the rights of others, they suddenly become mute, deaf, and develop a weak memory...

God doesn't look at the outer appearances. He scans the hearts. Hence don't look at the size of the beard or the length of the lower garments to determine one's Taqwa - God consciousness. It is purely known to Allah alone. It is known to the One Who knows all intentions.

No one knows who has been hungry for days, who has broken down in silence, or who has quietly died.
But who meets whom, where they go, what they do, and how “immoral” they are everyone seems to know that.
This is our tragedy we’ve stopped seeing pain and started calling curiosity righteousness.
Silence over hunger, injustice, and loneliness…noise, judgments, and moral outrage over people’s character.
If we truly became humane,
perhaps knowing that someone is hungry would matter more than policing someone’s morals.

Getting trained for handling failures is equally important.
There was a very brilliant boy, he always scored 100% in Science.
Got Selected for IIT Madras and scored excellent in IIT.
Went to the University of California for MBA.
Got a high paying job in America and settled there.
Married a Beautiful Tamil Girl.
Bought a 5 room big house and luxury cars.
He had everything that make him successful but a few years ago he committed suicide after shooting his wife and children.
WHAT WENT WRONG?
California Institute of Clinical Psychology Studied his case and found “what went wrong?”
The researcher met the boy's friends and family and found that he lost his job due to America’s economic crisis and he had to sit without a job for a long time. After even reducing his previous salary amount, he didn't get any job. Then his house installment broke and he and his family lost the home. they survived a few months with less money and then he and his wife together decided to commit suicide. He first shot his wife and children and then shot himself.
The case concluded that the man was Programmed for success but he was not trained for handling failures.
Now let's come to the actual question, What are the habits of highly successful people?
First of all, there are many people who will tell you about success habits but today I want to tell you that even if you have achieved everything, yet there is a chance to lose everything, nobody knows when the next economic crisis will hit the world. The best success habit according to me is getting trained for handling failures.
I also request every parent, please not only program your child to be successful but teach them how to handle failures and also teach them proper lessons about life. Learning high-level science and maths will help them to clear competitive exams but a knowledge about life will help them to face every problem. Teach them about how money works instead of teaching them to work for money. Help them in finding their passion because these degrees will not help them in the next economic crisis and we don’t know when the next crisis will hit the world.

Ibn al-Jawzī rahimahuLlaah said about the dunya:
“Know that time never remains in one condition — as Allah, the Almighty, said: ‘And such are the days We alternate among the people.’ [Āl ʿImrān: 140]
At times there is poverty, and at times wealth; at times honor, and at times humiliation; at times friends rejoice, and at times enemies gloat.
So the truly happy one is he who clings to one constant principle in all circumstances — the fear (taqwā) of Allah, the Almighty. Therefore, hold fast to taqwā in every situation, for then you will see in hardship nothing but ease, and in sickness, nothing but well-being.”

Are you Following The Crowd?
When Umar bin al-Khattab (رضي الله عنه) was walking in the market, he passed by a man who was supplicating,
اللهم اجعلني من القليل اللهم اجعلني من القليل
“O Allah, make me from the few! O Allah make me from the few!”
So ‘Umar said to him, “Where did you get this du`a’ (supplication) from?” And the man said, “Allah in His Book says:
و قليل من عبادي الشكور
‘And few of My servants are grateful.’ (Qur’an 34:13)”
So ‘Umar wept and admonished himself, “The people are more knowledgeable than you, O Umar!
O Allah make us from Your ‘few’ servants.”
Sometimes when you advise someone to leave a sin, they respond with “But everybody does it, it’s not just me!”
But if you look for the words “most people” in the Qur’an, you will find that most people -
ولكن اكثرهم لا يعلمون
“And however most people do not know” (7:187)
ولكن أكثرهم لا يشكرون
- “and most people do not show gratitude” (2:243)
and
و لكن اكثر الناس لا يؤمنون
- “and most people do not believe” (11:17).
And if you look for “most of them”, you will find that most of them are
و آن أكثرهم فَاسِقُون
- “definitely disobedient” (5:59)
و لكن أكثرهم يجهلون
- “ ignorant” (6:111)
بل أكثرهم لا يعلمون الحق فهم معرضون
- “turning away” (21:24)
So be of the “few”, whom Allah says about them:
و قليل من عبادي الشكور
- “And few of My servants are grateful.” (34:13)
و ما امن معه الا قليل
- “But none had believed with him, except a few.” (11:40)
في جنات النعيم ثلة من الاولين و قليل من الآخرين
- “In the Gardens of Bliss, A [large] company of the former peoples, And a few of the later peoples.” (56:12-14)
Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) said, “Go on the path of truth and do not feel lonely because there are few who take that path, and beware of the path of falsehood and do not be deceived by the vastness of the perishers.”

Hijra isn’t a choice.
It’s a MUST
Hijra isn’t about passports, visas, or aesthetics.
Hijra is about saving your Akhira.
When the land you live in drags you into haram daily, normalises disobedience, mocks the commands of Allah, corrupts your children, weakens your iman, and makes sin easy and obedience heavy, then staying is not neutrality.
It’s surrender.
People say, “But my job… my house… my comfort.”
None of that will stand with you in the grave.
None of it will speak for you when you’re questioned alone.
Allah did not command hijra for convenience.
He commanded it for preservation of deen.
The Sahaba didn’t leave Makkah because it was easy.
They left because staying meant their iman was under attack.
They left wealth.
They left homes.
They left safety.
And Allah replaced it with honour.
The truth is harsh but clear:
If you can leave a place of fitnah and choose not to, you are choosing dunya over Akhira.
Hijra exposes intentions.
It separates excuses from sincerity.
It strips you of false security and forces tawakkul.
This path is not comfortable.
It’s not glamorous.
It’s not guaranteed ease.
But it is guaranteed sincerity.
And whoever leaves something for Allah, Allah replaces it with something far better.
Even if you don’t see it immediately.
This life is temporary.
Akhira is permanent.
Choose wisely.

If life feels restricted in one area, remember that Allah has surely given you ease in another.
If your wealth is limited, you may have been blessed with good health and well-being, something others may long for. Or Allah may have honored you with righteous children or a good legacy that will outlive you. Perhaps your heart has found true happiness and contentment in worshipping Allah, a gift greater than all the wealth of this world.
So, do not let your eyes wander to the worldly blessings others have. Trust in Allah’s wisdom and know that His blessings upon you are perfectly tailored for you.
Be grateful and say, Alhamdulilah for everything.
