#NewYear

My New Year Resolution Is ....

Not to spend a penny or waste a second in any such celebrations as they are neither useful in this world nor in hereafter.
I believe we are answerable to ALLAH for all our actions.

➨ QURAN 23:115
Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?
➨ QURAN 6:32
And the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah , so will you not reason?

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:
There are two blessings which many people lose: (They are)
1) Health and
2) Free time for doing good.

(SAHIH BUKHARI Hadith #6412)

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:
The feet of the son of Adam shall not move from before his Lord on the Day of Judgment, until he is asked about FIVE things:
1) About his life and what he did with it,
2) About his youth and what he wore it out in,
3) About his wealth and how he earned it
4) And spent it upon,
5) And what he did with what he knew (knowledge).

(SUNAN TIRMIDHI Hadith #2316-2317)

ULTIMATE BLAST ...

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:
1) The most affluent of the people in this world, of the inhabitants of the Fire, (who will be) will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and dipped once in the Fire. Then it will be said: 'O son of Adam, did you ever see anything good? Did you ever have any pleasure?' He will say: 'No, by Allah, O Lord.'
2) Then the most destitute of the people in this world, (who will be) of the inhabitants of Paradise, will be brought and dipped once in Paradise, and it will be said to him: 'O son of Adam, did you ever see anything bad? Did you ever experience any hardship?' He will say: 'No, by Allah, O Lord. I never saw anything bad and I never experienced any hardship."

(SAHIH MUSLIM Hadith #7088)
Ibn Hibbān رحمه الله said:

“Brothers are known in times of need, since everyone is a friend in times of ease. The worst of brothers is the one who deserts his brother during hardship or in a time of need.”

People celebrate the passing of days and years in the form of birthdays and New Years’.

And the irony is that when they grow old they yearn for these lost days and years, and the lost youth and health…

Narrated Ibn `Abbaas رضي الله عنهما: Allaah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said to a man in the course of an exhortation:
❝Grasp five things before five others: your youth before your decrepitude, your health before your illness, your riches before your poverty, your leisure before your work, and your life before your death.❞

Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, reports that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

"The most merciful of my nation to my nation is Abu Bakr ;

the firmest in abiding by Allah's Commands is Umar;

the most bashful is Uthmaan;

and the best in judgment is Ali."

(Reported by Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi and An-Nasaa'i.)

📌 The Illusion of the World (Dunya)

Al-Hasan al-Basri (رحمه الله) said:

"This world is only three days:
yesterday has gone and will never return,
tomorrow you may never reach,
and today is all you have so do good in it."
- Kitab al-Zuhd, Ibn al-Mubarak

📖 Qur’an Reminder:

وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ.

"And the life of this world is nothing but an illusion of enjoyment."
- Qur’an 3:185

🟢 Reminder:

Yesterday is gone forever.
Tomorrow is not promised. All you truly own is today and what you do with it will follow you into eternity.

Zuhd isn’t about abandoning the world it’s about not letting the world abandon your Hereafter.

From Ibn ʿAbbās, that the Prophet ﷺ said:

Blessings are with your seniors.

Ibn Ḥibbān et al. Graded ṣaḥīh by Al-Albānī and others. See Al-Ṣaḥīḥah no. 1778.

From Ibn ʿUmar, from Allāh’s Messenger ﷺ that he said:

Jibrīl told me to give precedence to those who are older.

Recorded by Abū Bakr Al-Shāfiʿī in Al-Fawāʾid, and graded authentic by Al-Albānī in Al-Ṣaḥīḥah no. 1555.

Allah ﷻ tested His Prophets to show us the way through our own trials:

· Nuh (AS) was tested with a flood.
· Ibrahim (AS) was tested with fire.
· Ya’qub (AS) was tested with grief and blindness.
· Yusuf (AS) was tested with betrayal and separation.
· Ayyub (AS) was tested with severe illness.
· Musa (AS) was tested with a tyrant.
· Yunus (AS) was tested in the darkness of the sea.
· Dawud (AS) was tested with war and power.
· Sulayman (AS) was tested with an immense kingdom.

Their response was never a faithless "Why me?" Instead, they turned to Allah with "Ya Allah!" with patience, prayer, and absolute trust.

If the best of creation were tested, who are we to think we should be spared? Our tests are not a sign of Allah's anger, but an opportunity to draw closer to Him, just as His Prophets did.

So, the next time a trial comes your way, remember: you are in the company of the Prophets. Respond with Sabr (patience) and Salat (prayer).

Three Things That Can Save You, And Three Things That Can Destory You

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

"ثلاث منجيات: خشية الله تعالى في السر والعلانية والعدل في الرضا والغضب والقصد في الفقر والغنى وثلاث مهلكات: هوى متبع وشح مطاع وإعجاب المرء بنفسه."

"Three things can save a person:

1. Fear of Allaah in private and public.
2. Fairness in happiness and anger.
3. Generosity in both poverty and wealth.

And three things can destroy a person:

1. Desires that are followed,
2. Greed that is obeyed.

Some words of wisdom:

"ما لم تنصر الحق، فأنت حتما مع الباطل"
"Unless you stand up for what is right, you're inevitably on the side of falsehood"

(Staying neutral in the face of injustice is akin to complicity or tacit approval. There are various ways in which we can serve the cause of justice and it's up to us to identify how best we can use our potential)

Today's Beautiful Hadith is about Mercy!

Narrated Jarir bin `Abdullah (Radiallahu Anhu): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said,

"Allah will not be merciful to those who are not merciful to mankind."

(Sahih al-Bukhari 7376, Book 97, Hadith 6)!

Show mercy to others and Allah will not only reward you but show mercy to you."

THE STRAIGHT PATH.

Sahabi al-Jaleel Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud (radiAllahuanhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhiwa sallam) drew a line in the sand with his hand and he said,

“This is the straight path of Allah.” Then, the Prophet drew lines to the right and left, and he said, “These are other paths, and there is no path among them but that a devil is upon it calling to its way.” Then the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhiwa sallam) recited the verse,

“Verily, this is the straight path, so follow it and do not follow other ways.” (Al Qurʾān 6:153)

عَنْ عَبْدِ
When someone tells you “this is an amānah” (أمانة) and asks you to keep it to yourself, they are not just asking for silence, they are placing a trust in you.

The word amānah comes from the same root as īmān and āmana, it is tied to faith, safety, and trust.

So when someone says something is an amānah, they are saying:
“I am trusting you with something that must be protected.” It means the information is not yours to share, repeat, hint at, or use, even casually.

Keeping an amānah is not only about not speaking; it is about guarding it in your heart, not exploiting it, not reshaping it, and not letting it harm the one who entrusted you.

In Islam, breaking an amānah is serious. The Prophet ﷺ taught that betraying a trust is a sign of hypocrisy. That tells us how heavy this is. An amānah may be a secret, a vulnerability, a plan, a mistake, or even someone’s pain. When it is handed to you, you become responsible before Allah for how you carry it.

Keeping an amānah does not mean covering up oppression or harm, Islam never commands silence in the face of injustice. But outside of that, when someone entrusts you with personal information, keeping it is an act of worship. You are choosing Allah over gossip, restraint over curiosity, and loyalty over ego.

So when someone says, “This is an amānah,” they are really saying:
“I trust your fear of Allah more than your desire to speak.”

May Allah make us people who protect trusts, honor confidence, and never take lightly what is placed in our care.

Wealth is power.

This is why, when Prophet Moses prayed against Pharaoh, he said:

رَبَّنَا اطْمِسْ عَلَىٰ أَمْوَالِهِمْ
“𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩.” (Qur’an 10:88)

Wealth is a powerful pillar for individuals, families, and governments alike. Muslims who belittle the importance of wealth only harm themselves. Such thinking is a deception of the Devil, who seeks to keep believers weak and dependent.

In the past, wars were often fought in the name of religion, with people forced to convert. Today, wars are largely driven by economic interests.
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

If Allah سبحانه و تعالى had forgiven the one who had quenched the thirst of a very thirsty dog, so what would be the case for he who quenches the thirst, feeds the hungry, and clothes the unclothed from among the Muslims?.”
