The most difficult thing to do nowadays: Concentration in the prayers without getting distracted by worldly things.

Indeed this has become difficult except for those whom Allaah تعالى has protected.

In the Hadeeth of `Uthmaan رضي الله عنه where he described the ablution of the Prophet ﷺ, he said that Allaah's Messenger ﷺ said: ❝If anyone performs ablution like that of mine and offers a two Rak`ahs (units) prayer DURING WHICH HE DOES NOT THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE (i.e. without allowing his thoughts to be distracted by worldly things) then his past sins will be forgiven.❞
📚 [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree and Saheeh Muslim]

🌴 🌴 🌴

`Umar bin al-Khattaab رضي الله عنه said: ❝(Du`aa should be done) with devotion or else Allaah تعالى has forbidden to accept the Du`aa and the Tasbeeh.❞
📚 [Jaami` al-`Uloom wal-Hikam (1/276)]
Shaykh ul-Islaam Ahmad bin AbdulHaleem Ibn Taymiyyah [D.728 A.H.] [رحمه الله] said:

❝Every time a person increases in doing good acts and Taqwaa then his goodness and beauty strengthens.

Every time his sinning and enmity strengths then his ugliness and disfigurement increases … So we see the faces of the people of the Sunnah and obedience, that, as they grow older, their beauty and radiance increases so much so that you find one of them in his senior age better and more beautiful than when he was younger.

We find that the faces of the people of Bida’ and sinning, every time they grow older their ugliness and disfigurement gets worse so much for so that you cannot even look at them, those who were dazzled and deceived by the people of Bida’ and sinning when they were young due to the beauty of their forms.

This is apparent in everyone [from the people of Bida’] who glorifies his Bida’ and his evil, like the Rafidah, and the people of tyranny, oppression and evil deeds… Since indeed every time the Rafidi gets older his face gets uglier and his disfigurement gets worse to the extent his resemblance to a pig increases, and perhaps transforms into a pig and a monkey as it has been frequently mentioned about them…❞

[Al-Istiqāmah, (1/365) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Miraath al-Anbiyya]
Abu Dharr (Radia-Allahu ‘anhu) said: “O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! Give me some advise! Give me some advise!”

He (ﷺ) said:

“I advise you to have Taqwa of Allaah (i.e. fear Allah), because it is the head of all matters.”

I said: “O Messenger of Allah! Give me some more advise.”
He (ﷺ) said:

“Recite the Qur’an and remember Allah; because it is a light for you in the earth and a treasure (store) for you in the heaven.”

I said: “O Messenger of Allah! Give me some more advise!”

He (ﷺ) said:

“Beware of laughing excessively; because it causes the death of the heart and it will take away the light from the face.”

I said: “O Messenger of Allaah! Give me some more advise!”

He (ﷺ) said:

“Persevere upon Jihad; because it is monasticism of my nation.”

I said: “O Messenger of Allaah! Give me some more advise!”
He (ﷺ) said:

“Love the poor people and sit with them.”

I said: “O Messenger of Allaah! Give me some more advise!”
He (ﷺ) said:

“Look at those who are below you and do not look at those who are above you, lest you contempt the blessings of Allaah that are bestowed upon you.”

I said: “O Messenger of Allaah! Give me some more advise!”
He (ﷺ) said:

“Say the truth even if it is bitter.”

[Reported by Ibn Hibban in his Saheeh and Al-Haakim. Al-Albaani graded it Saheeh Ligairihi, in Saheeh at-Targheeb wat Tarheeb # 2233]
“Prayer without Khushu (tranquility and attentiveness) is like a body without a soul”

Shaykh Saalih Al-Fawzaan (Explanation of Forty Ahadith of Imaam Nawawi).
Seek treatment or knowledge from the one who is grounded in that field.

The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said: ❝Whoever gives medical treatment, with no prior knowledge of medicine, is responsible☆ (if he kills or harms someone).❞
📚 [Sunan Abu Dawood, al-Nasaa’ee, and Ibn Maajah, and graded as “ Hasan li ghairihee ” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

☆ The one who is not a doctor but still prescribes some medication, and the patient dies because of it, then he will be responsible and will have to pay the blood-money. [The ruling on blood-money is mentioned in Surah al-Nisaa' (4): 92]

Al-Khattaabee commented on the above Hadeeth: ❝I do not know of any difference (amongst the scholars) on this.❞

By merely reading a few books one does not become a doctor, so then why do we expect someone to become a scholar or a person of knowledge by doing the same?!

Indeed harming someone in his Deen by causing confusion or creating doubts or speaking without knowledge is worse than killing someone, as Allaah تعالى says:

﴿وَالْفِتْنَةُ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الْقَتْلِ﴾

❝{…and Al-Fitnah (in the Deen) is worse than killing}❞
📚 [Surah al-Baqarah (2): 191]

He تعالى also says:

❝{...and Al-Fitnah is greater than killing}❞
📚 [Surah al-Baqarah (2): 217]

In the Qur'aan Allaah تعالى says that anyone who kills a person unjustly is like killing the whole of mankind. Then should we not take extra precaution in the matters of the Deen so that we, in our ignorance, misguide others?

[SHORT FAA’IDAH FROM THE AYAH REGARDING THE ENCOUNTER BETWEEN PROPHET SULAYMAAN AND THE ANTS]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah (The Most High) said:

”And there were gathered before Sulaiman (Solomon) his hosts of jinns and men, and birds, and they all were set in battle order (marching forwards). Till, when they came to the valley of the ants, one of the ants said: “O ants! Enter your dwellings, lest Sulaiman (Solomon) and his hosts crush you, while they perceive not.” So he [Sulaiman (Solomon)] smiled, amused at her speech and said: “My Lord! Inspire and bestow upon me the power and ability that I may be grateful for Your Favours which You have bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds that will please You, and admit me by Your Mercy among Your righteous slaves.” [27: 17-19]

Faa’idah from Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah):

It is as if the ant excused the army for the harm they would have afflicted on its colony due to being unaware of their presence, and blamed its colony for not taking the precaution to enter their dwelling place. And due to this Sulaymaan smiled, for indeed it is something that should bring about amazement and make someone smile. [Ref 1]

Faa’idah from Imaam Sadi (rahimahullaah):

The ant knew Sulaymaan’s affair and that of his army. It exalted Sulaymaan’s authority and excused them if they were to crush its colony because that would not have happened intentionally, nor out of awareness. Sulaymaan (alayhis-salaam) heard the ant’s speech and understood it, so he smiled due to being amazed with the ant’s eloquence, (good) advice and fine expression.

This is the affair of the Prophets (alayhis-salaatu was-salaam) – perfect manners (or etiquettes) and being amazed in its rightful place. They do not laugh, rather they smile just as Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) mostly used to smile; for indeed a loud burst of laughter is an indication of feeble mindedness and bad manners. On the other hand, the one who does not get amazed by what should amaze a person, then this is an indication of an ill-temper and haughtiness, and the Messengers of Allaah are free from that. The declaration of faith - "LA ILLAHA ILLALLAH" ~ “There’s no god but Allāh” requires you to:

•Love only for the sake of Allāh.

•Hate only for the sake of Allāh.

•Ally yourself only for the sake of Allāh.

•Declare enmity only for the sake of Allāh.

•Love what Allāh loves.

•Hate what Allāh hates.

•Ally yourself with the Muslims wherever you find them.

•Oppose the kuffar even if they’re your closest kin.

Yahyā bin Mu’āth ar-Rāzī (رحمه الله) said:

“The scholars are more merciful to the nation of Muhammad (ﷺ) than their own fathers and mothers.”

It was said to him:

“How is that?”

He said:

“Because their fathers and mothers protect them from the fire of this world whereas the scholars protect them from the Fire of the Hereafter.”

Shaykh ʿAbd al-Salām ibn Burjiss(raḥimahullāh) mentioned: O students! If you really want knowledge [directly] from its source, then there are the senior scholars whose beards have become grey, bodies have become weak, and their strength has dried up in (seeking) knowledge and teaching. Stick to them before you lose them, and benefit from their treasures before it disappears with them, for indeed the full moon is missed on a dark night.

He (rahimahullaah) said: ‘’If the truthful ones were to keep silent and the falsifiers speak, then the creation would have relinquished what they have witnessed (of truth) and reject what they have not witnessed.  So when the devout ones desire to revive the Sunnah, the people would reject it and think that it is bidah.’’ ————————————————————————————– [Shifaa As-Sudoor Fee Ziyaaratil Mashaahid Wal-Quboor page: 148]
Some of the signs that a person has been put to trials are:

1) When he shaves or trims his beard after having it grow longer.
2) When he does what he used to warn against.
3) When he aligns, upon misguidance, with the same people he used to warn against.
4) When he abandons his night prayers.
5) When he completely abandons the Salaah.
6) When he abandons his religion.
7) When a sister abandons her Hijaab.
8) When he allows mix gathering.
9) When he lies about Allaah and His religion.
10) When he attributes a lie to the Messenger of Allaah
11) When he speaks without knowledge.
12) When he interferes in the matters which do not concern him.
13) When he does not accept the truth out of pride.
14) When he sees the truth, but still clings to the falsehood.
And list goes on…

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Whoever comes across a person suffering a calamity and says (silently):

الحمد لله الذي عافاني مما ابتلاك به ، وفضلني على كثير ممن خلق تفضيلا

He will be kept safe from that calamity”

Not everyone who claims to be Salafi is truly Salafi. Some individuals have made this claim but they are ignorant and they don’t know the Salafi Minhaj. Some individuals have made this claim but they have actually adopted the methodology of the Khawarij, and this is displayed in their spilling of blood and causing mischief throughout the earth. Others have made this claim but they are self-taught and they have not taken knowledge from the scholars, but rather, they have taken it from books and that which they have read. They depend on their memorization of texts without (true) understanding.
