What Is Salafiyyah?
Question:
What is As-Salafiyyah and what is your opinion regarding it?
Answer:
All praise is due to Allaah alone, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger, his family and his Companions.
To proceed:
"As-Salafiyyah" is an attachment or affiliation to the 'Salaf'. And "The Salaf" are the Companions of the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu 'alaihi wassallam) and the Imaams of guidance (may Allaah be pleased with them) from the first three generations, those whose goodness Allaah's Messenger (salallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) bore witness to in his statement:
"The best of mankind is my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them. Then there will come people where bearing witness of one of them will precede his taking an oath and his taking an oath will be his bearing witness."
[Reported by Imaam Ahmad ibn Hanbal in the 'Musnad', 'Al-Bukhaaree', and Muslim]*
And "The Salafiyyoon [or Salafees]" is the plural of "Salafi", an attachment or affiliation to the Salaf, and its meaning has already preceded above - and they are those who traverse upon the Methodology (Manhaj) of the Salaf in following the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah [of the Messenger of Allaah], and inviting to them, and acting upon them, and they are, due to this, Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah.

🎀It is not Permissible to congratulate on the occasion of New Hijri Year🎀
💢QUESTION ⁉: Is it permissible to congratulate non-Muslims on the occasion of the new Gregorian year, the new Hijri (lunar) year, and the Mawlid (the Prophet’s birthday)?
ANSWER ✅
It is not permissible to offer congratulations on such occasions, because it is not Mashru‘ (Islamically lawful) to celebrate them.
May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.

🎀The Islamic year of 1434 Hijriyya has now begun, it is well known the traditions of the world in celebrating and congratulating upon the arrival of the new year [AD], however what is the Islamic ruling on congratulations for the new Hijry year?
🎓Shaikh al-Fawzaan,
“This is an innovation, congratulating for the new year, it is an innovation; or commanding of fasting or charity [for the purpose of the new year] all of this is innovation, Allah has not revealed evidence upon it”

Knowledge & Actions
by Rabee’ ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee
Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya
1 – Shaykh Rabee’ said:
‘Learning knowledge should be for the sake of Allaah’s Face, and also for acting upon that knowledge, otherwise knowledge will have an evil consequence, so the person remains between two illnesses, either the illness of ignorance or the illness of knowledge which is not beneficial, but rather harmful.
The knowledge which Muhammad -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- came with is in itself beneficial. However, if a person does not act upon it then it becomes an evil consequence for him, and harmful for him, and perhaps it could harm others.’
2 – Shaykh Rabee’ said:
‘What is required from learning knowledge, is acting upon it, and action cannot come except after knowledge. As Allaah Tabaraka wa Ta’ala said:
<<So know that Lâ ilâha ill-Allaah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allaah), and ask forgiveness for your sin, and also for (the sin of) believing men and believing women.>> [Muhammad: 19]
Imaam al-Bukhari wrote a chapter heading ‘Chapter: Knowledge comes before Statements and Actions’ because it is obligatory upon us not to act except with knowledge, and not worship Allaah except with knowledge, so we do not worship Allaah Subhanahu – with ignorance or following desires.’
3 – Shaykh Rabee’ said:
‘The way of those misguided from the people of the Book who learnt knowledge but did not act upon it, is that their hearts became hard, and most of them became evil…. . .
If this hardness afflicts the heart then it destroys it. . . . .
So it does not accept the truth, and does not act with knowledge and refuge is sought with Allaah, and it leads to hiding knowledge and acting in opposition to knowledge. . .. .
It leads to following whims and rejection of the truth, which is clear like the sun. . . . . ’

‘What do You do When the Devil Whispers to You?’
One of the Salaf asked his student:
‘What do you do when the devil whispers to you?’
He replied: ‘I fight him back.’
The teacher asked: ‘What if he returns?’
He replied: ‘I fight him.’
The teacher asked again: ‘What if he returns?’
The student repeated again: ‘I fight him.’
The teacher said: ‘This will take too long. Do you see if you try to pass by some sheep and the shepherd’s dog barks at you to prevent you from passing, what would you do?’
He replied: ‘I would struggle to fight and repel him.’
The teacher replied: ‘This would take too long. Instead, seek the assistance of the sheep’s owner, he would suffice you from him . ‘

Did Hind (رضي الله عنها) eat the liver of Hamzah (رضي الله عنه)?
The ahaadeeth that are da’eef in this regard:
Musaa ibn ‘Uqbah narrated that Wah-shee gouged the liver of Hamzah and took it to Hind bint ‘Utbah and she tried to chew it however she was unable to. Ibn Katheer mentioned this narration in his Al-Bidaayah wal-Nihaayah (4/43) without an isnaad, hence it is weak.
Ibn Ishaaaq narrated with a broken isnaad that Hind was the one who gouged the liver of Hamzah. (Seerah Ibn Hishaam: 3/133). Hence, this narration is also weak.
Thus, based on what was previously stated, there is nothing authentic that proves Hind (رضي الله عنها) chewed or attempted to chew the live of Hamzah (رضي الله عنه).
Its worthy to note that Ibn Al-Atheer stated the following in her biography:
Hind bint ‘Utbah Al-Qurashee Al-Haashimee, the wife of Aboo Sufiyaan, the mother of Mu’aawiyah. She accepted Islaam along with her husband when Makkah was conquered. She was a woman of persona, self-confidence, and intelligence. She passed away during the Khilaafah of ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattaab. (Asadul-Ghaabah: 6/692-693).
