later. It is now evident that this deficiency does not mean that we cannot rely on her in narration or testimony, if she is supported by another woman. Anyway, this report does not prevent her from being of the best servants of Allah if they perform righteous deeds; although Sawm is overlooked during their menses and post-partum, and even if they are exempt from performing Salah. This does not mean that they are lower in everything. Men and women are equally required to observe the standards of piety, good actions, and careful performance of things in their charge. This specific lack of reason and deen is limited to what the Prophet (peace be upon him) explained. So, a Muslim must not offend women by attributing deficiency to them in everything, but it is a flaw in their worship and weakness in reasoning with regard to accuracy of testimony. Thus, the Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him) should be properly understood. Allah knows the best.

“He whose sin is due to desire, then have hope for him; and he whose sin is due to pride, then fear for him. Because Adam (alayhis-salaam) sinned due to desire, and he was forgiven; and Iblis sinned due to pride, and he was cursed.”

Kind words are better than money:

Ibn Rajab, may Allaah have mercy on him, said: “Dealing with people with kind words is perhaps dearer to them than offering them food and money to them.”

Ash- Shaykh Albani, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

“It is strange that some feel uncomfortable to eat with a spoon believing it is opposing the Sunnah while it is (in reality) from the habits of (the people) and it is not an act of worship like riding a car and a plane and similar to that from the new means (of technology)”.

Islaam has become a fashion show to the people who have no knowledge of the very fundamentals of Islaam such as Salaah, Zakaah, Siyaam, Hajj.

Whereas, Islaam has become a tool of entertainment to those who do not give preference to calling towards Tawheed – neither teaching it nor learning it.

Some pose for magazines (irrespective of the nature of the magazine) in the name of “promoting Islaam”.

Some take tours to places like Petra and the Dead Sea in the name of “religious tour”.

Some go to the beach with men sitting opposite of women, all in the name of “Da`wah”.

Indeed Da`wah - like Salaah, Siyaam, Hajj - is also from the acts of `Ibaadah; and acts of `Ibaadah are accepted only when they are in accordance with the Sunnah.

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
❝There will be some people who will lead (people) according to principles other than my Sunnah. [In Saheeh Muslim it is: (That time will witness the rise of) the people who will adopt ways other than mine and seek guidance other than mine]. You will see their actions and disapprove of them.❞

"The believer has five types of fear:
(1) Allaah may take his faith away from him

(2) The recording angels may write down something that may expose him on the Day of Resurrection.

(3) Shaytan may cause his deeds to become invalid.

(4) The Angel of Death may come to him without warning

(5) The world may tempt him and distract him from the Hereafter"

Question:
What is the ruling on fasting the Day of 'Ashura'?

Answer:
When the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi-wasallam) arrived in Al-Madinah, he found the Jews fasting on the tenth day of Muharram. He said,
''I am more ennoscriptd to follow Musa (Peace be upon him) than you.'' Reported Al-Bukhari in the Book of Fasting)

In the Hadith of Ibn Abbas, may Allaah be please with him, whose authenticity is agreed upon by Al-Bukhari and Muslim it is stated that the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi-wasallam) fasted on the Day of Ashura and he ordered that the fast be performed on it, and when he was asked about the virtue of fasting on it, he Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi-wasallam) said,

''I anticipate that Allaah will wipe out the sins of the year before it, and the year after it.'' (Reported By Muslim in the Book of Fasting)

However, after that, he commanded that the Muslims should be different from the Jews by fasting the tenth and the day before it, which is the ninth or the day after it, which is the eleventh.

Based upon this, it is preferable to fast on the tenth and to add a day before it or a day after it. Adding the ninth day to it is better than the eleventh.

So, my Muslim brother, it is desirable that you should fast on the Day of 'Ashura' and likewise on the ninth.

The virtues of fasting ‘Ashura
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said:

“For fasting the day of ‘Ashura, I hope that Allah will accept it as expiation for the year that went before.” [Reported by Muslim, 1976]

Ibn ‘Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, said:

“I never saw the Messenger of Allah, upon whom be peace, so keen to fast any day and give it priority over any other than this day, the day of ‘Ashura, and this month, meaning Ramadhan.” [Reported by al-Bukhari, 1867]
A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE PIOUS SLAVES OF ALLAAH—THEY LISTEN TO NEITHER MUSIC NOR FALSEHOOD

Allaah (The Most High) said:

وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَشۡهَدُونَ ٱلزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّواْ بِٱللَّغۡوِ مَرُّواْ ڪِرَامً۬ا

”And those who do not witness falsehood, and if they pass by some evil play or evil talk, they pass by it with dignity.” [25:72]

Muhammad Ibn Al-Hanafiyyah (rahimahullaah) said: In this (Ayah) falsehood means music. This is (also) what Layth (rahimahullaah) reported from Mujaahid (rahimahullaah). Al-Kalbiy (rahimahullaah) said: They do not attend gatherings of falsehood. Az-Zujaaj (rahimahullaah) said: They do not sit with the sinful people…

Sh. Ibn Bāz Raḥimahullāh:

“Some people say: 'Dunyā was made because of Muḥammad (Ṣallallāhu-'Alaihi Wa Sallam), had it not been for Muḥammad (Ṣallallāhu-'Alaihi Wa Sallam), neither Dunyā nor mankind would be created', this is FALSEHOOD which has NO BASIS (from Kitāb or Sunnah) and this is CORRUPT SPEECH, Allāh created Dunyā and mankind to be aware of His Names and Attributes and His Ability and His Knowledge and to worship Him, He is alone and has no partners and to obey Him, NOT because of Muḥammad (Ṣallallāhu-'Alaihi Wa Sallam) or Nooḥ or Moosā or Eesā or any other Prophet ('Alaihim-us-Salām).”
