“The condition of the one who relies on Allaah , "has Tawakkul" is like the condition of the one who is given a dirham by a king, then it gets stolen from him; so the king says to him: ‘I have many times as much as that, so don’t worry. When you come to me, I will give you from my treasures much more than that.’ Thus if (this person) knows the truthfulness of the king’s statement, and trusts him, and knows that his treasures are full of that, then what he missed will not make him sad.”
- Ibnul Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah (rahimahullah)
[Madaarij us-Saalikeen, Tawakkul; Vol.1, pg.527]
He (rahimahullah) further explained reliance (Tawakkul) of the one who relies upon Allah stating:
The essence of tawaakul relying upon Allah is not complete without resorting to the means which Allah has set out in order for us to achieve results both according to His decree (qadr) and His laws. Not using these means is contrary to tawakkul: it goes against and undermines the command and wisdom of Allah , although the one who neglects the means may think that this makes his tawakkul stronger. Ignoring the means is a sign of helplessness that goes against the true essence of tawakkul, which is that the heart relies on Allah to bring the slave whatever will benefit him in this world and the next, and to protect him from whatever may harm him in this world and the next. But along with this reliance, it is essential to take the appropriate means, otherwise he will be going against the wisdom and command of Allah . Helplessness should not be taken as a sign of tawaakul, nor should tawakkul make a person helpless.

QUESTION❓
Some people write an abbreviated version of the salaams, which is similar to "seen-raa'-baa'" in 'Arabic. They write "ws wr wb" in English. What is the ruling on this?
ANSWER📚
by Shaykh Wasee Allaah 'Abbaas, lecturer at the Ka'bah, instructor at Umm Al-Quraa University in Makkah
It is not permissible to abbreviate the salaams in general in one's writing, just as it is not permissible to abbreviate the salaah and salaam on the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam).
It is also not permissible to abbreviate either of these in one's speech.

How civilizations are destroyed?
In our age, three means are being utilized to bring the downfall of the Ummah.
1. Attacking the family structure.
2. Attacking the education.
3. Replacing the role models.
☆☆☆
🌟1. Attacking the family structure:
In order to attack the family structure they are clouding the role and the importance of motherhood in the upbringing and welfare of the family. Making the woman feel ashamed of her role as a housewife and a caretaker.
Whereas the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
《...a woman is the Guardian of her husband's house and is responsible for it...》 [Saheehain]
☆☆☆
🌟2. Attacking the education:
In order to corrupt the education, they are attacking the teachers; not giving them importance in the society, and lowering them from their status to the extent that even the students look down upon them.
Whoever mocks the teacher has mocked the knowledge that the teacher has.
☆☆☆
🌟3. Replacing the role models:
In order to overthrow the role models (the Salaf), they are attacking the scholars; speaking bad about them; disrespecting and dishonoring them; creating doubts about them so that no one is there who listens to them or follows them.
The situation is so bad that many people cannot distinguish between a scholar and a celebrity speaker. Whereas the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
《The scholars are the heirs of the Prophets, for the Prophets did not leave behind Dinar or Dirham, rather they left behind knowledge, so whoever takes it has taken a great share.》

لؤلؤة العلم:
A questioner asked Shaykh Muhammad bin Saalih al-Uthaymeen رحمه الله
"Why doesn’t my prayer prevent me from committing evil?"
The Shaykh replied:
"My advice to you is to repent to Allah, azza wajal, and be sincere in turning back towards Him. You should be mindful of the greatness of the One you are disobeying and be mindful of His punishment for those who oppose His Command. You should remember the statement of Allah,
نَبِّئۡ عِبَادِىٓ أَنِّىٓ أَنَا ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
“Inform unto My slaves, that truly, I am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most-Merciful.”
وَأَنَّ عَذَابِى هُوَ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ٱلۡأَلِيمُ
“And that My Torment is indeed the most painful torment.” [al-Hijr: 49-50]
Therefore, seek Allah’s forgiveness and mercy and at the same time become fearful of His punishment. As for your prayer not preventing you from performing evil deeds, then perhaps it is due to it containing deficiencies within. That is because the prayer that prevents one from committing lewdness and evil deeds is the prayer that is complete. It is the prayer that is in accordance to what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came with, prayer that is performed with an attentive present heart, and a prayer that is performed upon the Sunnah.
It is not any and every prayer that prevents one from lewdness and evil deeds, rather it is only the established prayer that is performed its required manner. Allah said,
إِنَّ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ تَنۡهَىٰ عَنِ ٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِ وَٱلۡمُنكَرِ
“…Indeed, the prayer prevents al-Fahshaa (lewdness, great sins of every kind, illegal sexual relations) and al-Munkar (disbelief, polytheism, and every evil deed)…” [al-‘Ankabut: 45]
And this is referring to the prayer that is established in the correct manner."

Question
A man teaches the people the sciences of the Islamic legislation and the Aqeedah of the Salaf even though he did not acquire knowledge from the mashaayikh and the scholars; is knowledge taken from him?
Answer
As long as he does not have foundation from the scholars (i.e. did not acquire knowledge from them in person and has no recommendations for that), rather he sought (knowledge) from papers and books, then knowledge is not taken from him because he does not understand the Madhab of the salaf. And it (i.e. Madhab of the Salaf) is not understood except by studying under the scholars. (It) is acquired (from the scholars)–this knowledge is (acquired from the scholars) and not only through reading. It is acquired (through the scholars), but reading is only an aid and not depended on. The likes of this (person) is called a Muta-aalim* and knowledge is not taken from him.

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy
The believers are of three categories:
1- Those who race towards the good: They are those who establish the obligated and recommended things and abstain from the impermissible and disliked things.
2- Those who ration: They are those who confine themselves to carrying out only the obligated matters and leaving off the impermissible matters.

3. The virtue of giving with sincerity.

5. The Fitna of the Dunya.

Translators Note: We benefit from this Hadeeth a number of things:
1. Another one of the duties of the angels.
2. The virtue of satisfaction and sufficiency.
3. The virtue of giving with sincerity.
4. The blameworthy nature of witholding and not spending in the way of Allah.
5. The Fitna of the Dunya.
"A woman's hair is her beauty, therefore, she is required to take care of it. Styling of hair for adornment should be within the lawful limits and permitted means. She should hide her hair from men who are not her Mahram (unmarriageable men)."

Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzān [Al-dawa, 1311]
The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:
وإنه سيخرج في أمتي أقوام تجارى بهم تلك الأهواء كما يتجارى الكلب بصاحبه
‘’And indeed there will appear a people out of my Ummah in whom desires will run through them just as rabies runs through a dog.’’ [1]
Al-Allaamah Ahmad Bin Yahyah An-Najmi (rahimahullaah) said: This is (something) that has taken place; for indeed you see that many amongst the people of those desires (i.e. bidah) do not submit to the truth. They do not return to it (i.e. the truth) after being aware of it, just like the dog afflicted with rabies. Rabies is the disease that afflicts a dog and when afflicted by it, it persists and does not subside; rather it becomes mad or like a mad one. It does not drink water; rather it wishes to bite anyone it finds. [2]
