The Prophet ﷺ said:

❝Regret and remorse is Repentance, the one who repents from the sin is like the one who has no sin.❞

💡An Insult with a Gift [Backbiting]

👤It is reported that ‘Abd Al-Rahmān b. Mahdī رحمه الله said

💥If it were not for the fact I hate that Allah is disobeyed

🔰I would have wished that no one remain in this city except that he had spoken ill of me and backbitten me;

🚩For what is nicer than a good deed a man finds in his records on the Day of Resurrection without having done a thing or even having known?”

Evil Eye is more dangerous than Black Magic!

Many times clients come to the clinic believing that they are afflicted with Black Magic, but in reality they are suffering in their health, wealth and families due to Evil Eye. Most people are negligent in protecting themselves with the recommended daily Adkhar (morning and evening duas) and do not worry about showing off their blessings; posting every detail of their life on social media, snap chatting everything from their new clothes, cars to children. Know that not everyone who sees your story will invoke the blessings of Allah upon you. In showing off your blessings you will undoubtably cause envy in may hearts and suffer the consequences. I get asked a lot about which is worse, Black Magic or Evil Eye, well based on the evidence from the hadith of Rasul Allah, Evil is lethal and if not treated correctly WILL KILL YOU.

Narrated by Jabir, Rasul Allah said :
“Most of those who die among my ummah (followers) die because of the will and decree of Allah, and then because of the evil eye.”

(With regard to the hadeeth that you mention, “One third of those who are in the grave are there because of the evil eye,” we do not know how sound it is, but the author of Nayl al-Awtar said that al-Bazzar narrated with a hasan isnad (sound chain of narrators) from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Most of those who die among my ummah (followers) die because of the will and decree of Allah, and then because of the evil eye.”)

Imam Ahmad, Malik, al-Nasai and Ibn Hibban narrated from Sahl ibn Haneef that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out and traveled with him towards Makkah, until they were in the mountain pass of al-Kharar in al-Jahfah. There Sahl ibn Haneef did ghusl (bathed), and he was a handsome white-skinned man with beautiful skin. ‘Amir ibn Rabee’ah, one of Banu ‘Adiyy ibn K’ab looked at him whilst he was doing ghusl and said: “I have never seen such beautiful skin as this, not even the skin of a virgin,” and Sahl fell to the ground. They went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, “O Messenger of Allah, can you do anything for Sahl, because by Allah he cannot raise his head.” He said, “Do you accuse anyone with regard to him?” They said, “‘Amir ibn Rabee’ah looked at him.” So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) called ‘Amir and rebuked him strongly. He said, “WHY WOULD ONE OF YOU KILL HIS BROTHER? If you see something that you like, then pray for blessing for him.” Then he said to him, “Wash yourself for him.” So he washed his face, hands, forearms, knees and the sides of his feet, and inside his izaar (lower garment) in the vessel. Then that water was poured over him, and a man poured it over his head and back from behind. He did that to him, then Sahl got up and joined the people and there was nothing wrong with him. Classed as saheeh (authentic) by al-Albani in al-Mishkat.

The Muslim has to protect himself against the devils among the evil jinn and mankind, by having strong faith in Allah and by putting his trust in Him and seeking refuge with Him and beseeching Him, reciting the prayers for protection narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), reciting al-Mu’awwadhatayn [the last two surahs of the Quran], Surat al-Ikhlas, Surat al-Fatihah, and ayat al-Kursi.

Du’as for protection include the following:

A’oodhu bi kalimat-illah il-tammati min sharri ma khalaqa (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of that which He has created).

A’oodhu bi kalimat-illah il-tammati min ghadabihi wa ‘iqabihi, wa min sharri ‘ibadihi wa min hamazat al-shayateeni wa an yahduroon (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His wrath and punishment, from the evil of His slaves and from the evil promptings of the devils and from their presence).

And one may recite the words of Allah:

“Hasbi Allahu la ilaha illa huwa, ‘alayhi tawakkaltu wa huwa Rabb ul-‘arsh il-‘azeem
(Allaah is sufficient for me. La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He) in Him I put my trust and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne).”

Attacking The Fetus by Abortion
Shaykh Muhammad 'Ali Ferkous

The question:
I am an old woman. When I was young, I attacked my fetus by aborting him after a period [of gestation]. I do not remember if it was three or 4 months. This is still tormenting me night and day. So, could you give me a solution to my problem or guide me and free me from the anxiety that I am suffering from? May Allah reward you.

♻️The answer:
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessing be upon whom Allah sent as a mercy to the Worlds, upon his Family, his Companions & his Brothers till the Day of Resurrection.

As a rule, abortion is forbidden & prohibited, because it constitutes an attack on an existing and produced being. Such an act is considered as a crime in the first stages of the fetus existence. This crime becomes more odious if the fetus has a soul and a perfect creation. Therefore, if the crime is committed – after that the fetus reaches the fourth month, that is to say, one hundred & twenty days and that we make sure that he moves in the womb of his mother - be it intentionally or by mistake, this will be an attack against him, and implies an expiation as Allah’s right & blood money as human’s right.

The expiation consists in freeing a believing slave. And whoever does not find a slave to free him, then he has to fast two months consecutively. But, if he cannot fast either, he remains in charge of doing it according to one of the opinions of the scholars, or he has to feed sixty poor persons according to the other opinion. If he cannot, he remains in charge of doing it until he will be able to do it. Besides, menses do not interrupt the consecution of the woman’s expiation fasting.

As for the blood money, it is the mother who is in charge of paying it from her money. [In this case] it is estimated at five percent of the [real] blood money(1). This blood money will be inherited by the fetus’ heirs, as if he would be killed after his birth, except his mother for she committed the offence against him. Nevertheless, if the heirs give up the blood money, the mother should not pay anything,

The meaning of the verse:
﴾And whoever kills a believer by mistake, then the freeing of a believing slave and a compensation payment presented to the deceased’s family [is required] unless they give [up their right as] charity﴿
[An-Nissâ' (The Women): 92].

In case the fetus, against whom the crime is committed, does not reach four months, there is no expiation to make for him because the soul is not breathed into him yet. Actually, it is obligatory to make expiation only when the person who is killed by mistake has a soul. However, if the fetus is an embryo so that he got a human shape or some of his limbs are formed, in such case, he will take the same ruling regarding the fetus [who has a soul] in relation to the obligation of giving the blood money.

Furthermore, the woman who committed the crime has to repent before Allah عزَّ وجلَّ [of what she has done]& to increase good deeds & acts of obedience, for it is authentically reported that, “Regret is repentance”(2) & that, “whoever repents of a sin is like the one who has not done it”(3).

The meaning of the verse:
﴾Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is he who is the Forgiving, the Merciful”﴿
[Az-Zumar (The Groups): 53].

The perfect knowledge belongs to Allah عزَّ وجلَّ. Our last prayer is all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace & blessing be upon our Prophet, his Family, his Companions and Brothers till the Day of Resurrection.

Self-Amazement

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

The disease afflicting the Muslim youth in our times is that when they acquire some new knowledge, they raise their heads (arrogantly) thinking that they know everything, and they are overcome with self-amazement. We fear that they resemble the statement of the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ):

“There are three destructive things: Being stingy, following one’s desires and being amazed with one’s own opinion.”

Dont waste time

Imam Ibn Aqeel al Hanbali (رحمه الله) said,

"It is not permissible for me to waste an hour of my life even when my tongue is not busy with memorizing or debating with others, or my eyes are not busy in reading. I would think even when I am resting or relaxing, so I would not get up without an idea to write down. I limit the time I spend eating as much as I can, to such an extent that I choose a few crumbs and follow it with water rather than bread, because bread takes more time to chew, so as to save my time for reading or writing down some useful ideas. The best thing for the wise man is to save his time".

(Uluw al Himma, p.12)
Keep Good Intentions

‘Actions are but by the intention and every man will have but that which he intended. So he whose emigration was for Allah and His Messenger, his emigration was for Allah and His Messenger. But he whose emigration was for some worldly benefit or to take some woman in marriage, his emigration was for that which he migrated.”

“When there is money in your hand and not in your heart, it will not harm you even if it is a lot; and when it is in your heart, it will harm you even if there is none in your hands.”
[Madaarij al-Saalikeen, 1/463]
Ibn al-Qayyim - raḥimahullāh – said, “There are six stages to knowledge:

Firstly: Asking questions with good manners.

Secondly: Remaining quiet and listening attentively.

Thirdly: Understanding well.

Fourthly: Memorising.

Fifthly: Teaching.

Sixthly: and it is its fruit: Acting upon the knowledge and keeping to its limits.”

Advice by Shaykh Ahmād Bazmool Hafidhahullah👇

Question: Some of the people say: ‘I believe that Salafiyah is the truth, but the manners of the Salafis, chases me away from this Minhaj.

Shaykh Ahmad Bazmool: Okay, the answer to this question is with a number of points.
The first point: Did you embrace Islam, and follow the Salafi Minhaj for the sake of the people or for the sake of Allah? (You did so) for the sake of Allah the Exalted. You followed His religion and you seek the reward from Him—the Glorified and Exalted. You are not seeking a reward from the people; if the people err then stay away from their errors. The believer who mixes with the people and is patient with their harms is better than the one who does not mix with the people. This is the first point.

The second point: If you find with your brothers mistakes, infractions, and bad manners, and they are Salafis; then you advise them and clarify to them and be diligent in guiding them.

The third point: By Allah, your Salafi brothers and their bad manners which you complain about; by Allah, they are better than the Hizbis whom you deem to have good manners.

The fourth point: The Salafi with his manners has a higher status than the Hizbi with good manners; because the Hizbi is lowly and debased due to his hizbiyah and his opposition to the truth.

The fifth point: We say to you my brother, Shaytan—when it comes to the Salafis—he is diligent upon trying to cause disorder and harm amongst them, and to corrupt their character, so don’t be a victim for Shaytan, allowing him to use you against your Salafi brothers. And also Shaytan is far away from these Hizbis because Shaytan does not go to a ruined house. As it was said by some of the Salafi—and I believe it was Al-Awzaai or other than him—he said: Ahlus Sunnah have with them some loneliness or alienation. Why? He said: Shaytan comes to them and he tries to mislead them, and he tries to turn the people away from them. As for the innovators; they have repose and serenity, such that Shaytan is able to trap the people with them. So beware, beware of being deceived by their calmness and good manners, such that you fall into their traps;

for verily it is poisonous and it is destruction. Beware of fleeing from the truth due to some alienation of some bad interaction which you find from your brothers.
And furthermore; Allah forbid you should experience the likes of some of this, but if you are patient, seeking a reward from Allah, then your reward is with Allah. Therefore pay attention to these affairs; may Allah bless you.

Sunnah of the 'Asr Prayer

Ali bin Abu Talib (May Allah be pleased with him)reported: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم used to perform four Rak'ah before the 'Asr prayer, separating them with Taslim (i.e., offering blessings) on the favourite angels who are near Allah's proximity and the Muslims and the believers who come after them.
[At-Tirmidhi].

Commentary: The phrase "separating them with Taslim'' means that he would perform four Rak'ah in two couplets.

Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "May Allah have mercy on a man who performs four Rak'ah before the 'Asr prayer.''
[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi].

Commentary: These four Rak'ah can be performed in two couplets also, as was the practice of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, according to the preceding Hadith. It can be performed with one Taslim also. Both forms are correct and permissible. Some scholars are of the opinion that the former method is better. 'Ulama' have stated that these four Sunnah of 'Asr prayer are Ghair Mu'akkadah (optional prayers). Its importance is however evident from the fact that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم prayed for mercy on those who performed these Sunnah.

'Ali bin Abu Talib (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم used to perform two Rak'ah before the 'Asr prayer.
[Abu Dawud].

Commentary: We learn from this Hadith that one can also perform two Sunnah before 'Asr prayer. But Sheikh Al-Albani has stated that the word "two Rak'ah" occurring in this Hadith is rare. Four Rak'ah are secure and should, therefore, be preferred.

Shaikh Ibn al-Uthaymeen رحمه الله said:
❝When you say: “أستغفر الله” (Astaghfir-ullaah), you are asking Allaah for two things:

FIRST: Covering of sins
SECOND: Overlooking of sins

so that Allaah does not punish you for them. (As the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم had said): ❝When it will be the Day of Judgment, the Believer will be brought near his Lord, till his Lord covers him with His screen and makes him confess his sins. (Allaah will ask him): {Do you know (that you did) 'such-and-such sin?} He (the man) will say twice: ‘Yes, I do.’ Then Allaah will say: {I concealed it in the world and I forgive it for you today.}❞

O Allaah forgive us!❞
