Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziyyah:

"Never do the love of song and the love of Qur'an come together in a person’s heart except that one expels the other."

(Madârij Al-Sâlikîn, Vol.1 p 487)
"Who Can Be Worser Than Her?"

Prophet Musa: "Who can be worse than her?"

A woman came to Prophet Musa and said, "I committed a grave sin. Please pray to Allah that He forgives me."

Prophet Musa:"What did you do?"

Woman:"I committed fornication and later gave birth to a boy whom I killed."

Prophet Musa:"Go away from here, you wicked woman, lest a fire from Heaven destroys us all because of your sin!"

The woman left broken-hearted. Then Angel Jibril descended and asked, "O Musa, why have you turned away a repentant woman?

Have you not found anyone worse than her?"

Prophet Musa:"Who can be worse than her?"

Angel Jibril:"The one who ABANDONS SALAH INTENTIONALLY and PERSISTENTLY."

Mother, a ni'mah of Allāh for which we can't thank Him سبحانه enough...

Muhammad bin al-Munkadir said: ‘I spent the night massaging my mother’s leg and Umar spent the night praying. His night would not make me happier than my night.

[Collected in ‘al-Hileeyah’ 3/150, taken from ‘Akhbar as-Salaf’ p.269]

14 – From Jafar bin Sulayman who said: Muhammad bin al-Munkadir used to place his cheek on the floor, and then say to his mother: ‘place your foot upon it!’

[Collected in ‘Mukarim al-Akhlaaq’ p.226, taken from ‘Akhbar as-Salaf’ p.270]

15 – From Ibn ‘Awn who said: ‘Muhammad bin Sireen used to when he was with his mother lower his voice and speak slowly.’

[Collected in ‘Mukarim al-Akhlaaq’ p.226, taken from ‘Akhbar as-Salaf’ p.270]

16 – From al-Hasan that a man said to him: Indeed I made Hajj and indeed my mother has given me permission to perform another Hajj.’ So al-Hasan said: ‘To sit with her at her table is more beloved to me than your Hajj [i.e. optional Hajj].

[Collected in ‘Mukarim al-Akhlaaq’ p.227, taken from ‘Akhbar as-Salaf’ p.270]

17 – From Hisham who said: Hafsah bint Sireen used to ask for Allaah’s mercy upon her son Huthayal and say: He would go and get reed and stalks to make a fire, he would peel them and gather them in the summer time, so when it is lit it would not produce smoke. When it came to winter time he would come and sit behind me while I prayed and he would light a small fire so that I could feel the warmth from it and so that the smoke from it would not bother me. I used to say to him O my son it is night time go to your wife and he would say: ‘O mother I know what you want.’

She continued: ‘If I did not continue saying it to him perhaps he would be there till the morning time!’

TRUE BEAUTY

Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [رحمه الله] said:

“For how many were there that were not of handsome appearance, however through the performance of righteous deeds his beauty and attractiveness intensified until that became manifest upon his appearance.”

Is your loyalty towards Allaah or the people?

Muaawiyah رضي الله عنه wrote to the mother of the believers, Aaishah رضي الله عنها, asking her to write to him some advice but not making it lengthy. So, `Aaishah رضي الله عنها wrote:

“Assalaamu Alaik. To proceed… I heard the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم saying,

❝Whoever seeks the pleasure of Allaah while the people are displeased; then Allaah will protect him from the troubles caused by the people. And whosoever seeks the pleasure of the people while displeasing Allaah; then Allaah will leave his matter for the people (i.e. Allaah will not protect him from the harms of the people)❞
Wassalaamu Alaik.”

🔥🚫“Abandoning Salah is worse than murder.”

[Ibn aI-Qayyim, Kitab aI-Salah waAhkam Tarikiha |p. 29]

💠It was narrated that Buraydah ibn al-Husayb (Rady'Allahu Anhu) said: “I heard the Messenger of Allaah (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) say:

🚫‘The covenant that distinguishes between us and them is the prayer, and whoever neglects it has disbelieved (become a kaafir)."

[It was narrated by Ahmad, Abu Dawood, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nisaa’i and Ibn Maajah)]
"Forbidding evil has four levels..."

Imam Ibn al-Qayyim:

‘Forbidding munkar (“wrong”, “evil”, “sin”) has four levels: Firstly, it will be eliminated to be replaced by good. Secondly, it will be reduced, but not fully eradicated. Thirdly, it will be [removed but] replaced by an equivalent evil. Fourthly, it will be [removed but] replaced by a worse evil.

The first two levels are [areas where forbidding evil is] legislated; the third is an area for juristic reasoning (ijtihad); the fourth, however, is prohibitted.

Thus, if you see sinful and immoral people playing chess, for instance, then rebuking them would be a case of poor understanding and insight – unless you can turn them to pastimes that are pleasing to God and His Messenger, such as archery or horseback riding, or the like. If you see immoral people gathered for [sinful] amusements, or for listening to music – if you can coax them away from such acts to acts of obedience to God, then do so: otherwise it is best to let them be than to push them into acts which could be worse. Likewise, if you see a person preoccupied with indecent literature, or its like, and you fear deterring him from it will cause him to turn to books of religious innovation, deviation or magic, you should leave him – for the first types of books are less harmful. This is indeed a vast subject.

I heard Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah say: “During the time of the Mongols, I and a companion of mine passed by some Mongols who were drinking wine. He censured them, so I rebuked him, explaining: God has indeed forbidden wine, as it diverts from God’s remembrance and prayer. As for these people, wine diverts them from murder, enslaving people and pillaging. So let them be!”‘

- I‘lam al-Muwaqqi‘in 4:339-40.

Beware Of Mockery.

Do not mock a pain you haven't endured....

'A'isha رضى الله عنها said,
“A man suffering from an affliction passed by some women and they laughed together, mocking him, and so one of them got that same affliction.”

International Womens day

Seriously?!... Do you need to have a "special day" for everything?! Mother's day, Father's day, Children's day, World Hijab Day, ?

🎀Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
You would tread the same path as was trodden by those before you *inch by inch* and *step by step* so much so that if they had entered into the *hole of the lizard*, you would follow them in this also. We said: Allah's Messenger, *do you mean Jews and Christians (by your words)" those before you"? He said: Who else (than those two religious groups)?*

Young or Old, Male or Female, They All Loved Ibn Baaz (rahimahullaah)—But Why? What was The Secret?

Shaykh Ibn Baaz (rahimahullaah) replies:
“One time in his car I asked him,

‘Yaa Shaikh ’Abdul-’Aziz, I don’t know anyone except that they love you, young or old, male or female, this is almost something unanimous, what is the secret to that, O Shaikh?’
So he, may Allaah have mercy on him, tried to excuse himself from answering. So I repeated the question once or twice more,

so he said words to the effect,
‘I do not have spite/hatred for any Muslim, and I do not hear of enmity between two except that I rush to reconcile between them.’”

Ruling on wearing high heeled shoes

Q: What is the ruling of Islam on women wearing high heeled shoes?

A: The least that can be said regarding this action is that it is Makruh (disliked). First: That is because it involves deceit, as they are worn to make a woman look tall when she is not. Second: They pose a danger to the woman, as she may fall. Third: They are harmful to a woman’s health, as has been stated by the doctors.

The third question of Fatwa no. 1678Q 3:

What is the ruling on women wearing high heels and applying henna during menstruation?A: It is not permissible for women to wear high heels, for it makes them more likely to fall down. Every one is ordered from the Shariah perspective to avoid dangers in the general statement of Allah, ...and do not throw yourselves into destruction and His Statement, And do not kill yourselves (nor kill one another). Surely, Allâh is Most Merciful to you. Furthermore, it creates the appearance that the woman is taller and shapelier than they actually are. This is considered deception and revealing of the adornment which believing women are forbidden to display.(Part No. 17; Page No. 124)Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) states, ...and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband’s fathers, or their sons, or their husband’s sons, or their brothers or their brother’s sons, or their sister’s sons, or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islâm) As for women using Henna during menstruation, there is nothing wrong in this as in the case of Tuhr (purity after menstruation and postpartum ). May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet, his family and Companions.

A GOOD FRIEND AND A BAD FRIEND are like a perfume-seller and a blacksmith

The Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم Salla llahu alayhi wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa sallam) said:

“A good friend and a bad friend are like a perfume-seller and a blacksmith: The perfume-seller might give you some perfume as a gift, or you might buy some from him, or at least you might smell its fragrance. As for the blacksmith, he might singe your clothes, and at the very least you will breathe in the fumes of the furnace.”

Times not to offer Salah in a day

It was narrated from Abu ‘Abdullah As-Sunabihi that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“The sun rises between the two horns of Satan” or he said “The two horns of Satan rise with it, and when it has risen, Satan parts from it. When it is in the middle of the sky he accompanies it, then when it has crossed the zenith he parts from it. When it is about to set, he accompanies it, and when it has set he parts from it. So do no pray at these three times.”

ENGAGING IN ARGUMENTS

When you find someone who is always engaged in arguments, know that Allāh does not want good for that individual. May Allāh protect us, allow us to busy ourselves with benefical knowledge and rectify our lives, aameen!

Some of the Salaf said,

إذا أراد الله بعبده خيرا فتح له باب العمل, و أغلق عنه باب الجدال. و إذا أراد الله بعبده شرا أغلق عنه باب العمل, و فتح له باب الجدل

“Whenever Allāh wants good for His slave then He opens up for him the door of action and closes the door of argumentation.

Whenever Allāh wants evil for His slave then He closes for him the door of action and opens up the door of argumentation.”
