💢 Al-wala' wa-l-bara' (الولاء والبراء‌‎)

💢 Many read about it in books, but it only those upon who Allah has mercy who experience it in reality.

💠 Ibn Abbas (radyAllahu`anhu) reported to have said :

💢 "Whoever loves for the sake of Allah, and hates for the sake of Allah, and whoever seals a friendship for His sake, or declares an enmity for His sake, will receive, because of this, the protection of Allah.

💢 No one may taste true faith except by this, even if his prayers and fasts are many. People have come to build their relationships around the concerns of the world, but it will not benefit them in any way."

[Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali | Jami' al-Ulum wal Hikam | p.30]
Shaykh Ibn Bāz Raḥimahullāh: With a hardship there are 3 affairs;

• Being patient with it - It's obligatory
• Being pleased with it - It's Sunnah
• Being grateful for it - It's most virtuous/best

The statement is True. Please read akhawaat:

Shaykh Muhammad ‘AttaAllaah Haneef رحمه الله (d. 1408A.H.) said:

‘Likewise, there is nothing in the narrations mentioning sleep after al-Istikharah prayer or recognizing that which is better for that person of what he may see in a dream.

I bring attention to this, because many of the people claim that al-Istikharah is seeking information from Allaah Ta’ala and seeking consultation from Him, so they invent principles for al-Istikharah which the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه و سلم did not bring. Then if they do not see a dream in their sleep, they go and seek guidance from others whom they think are righteous people. Upon my life, indeed this action of theirs is from a type of fortune telling which the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه و سلم prohibited and it negates the Sharia’h aim of al-Istikharah .’

He continues: ‘[That al-Istikharah is having] Tawwakul (reliance upon Allaah) before the action, and being pleased with it after it. So whoever relied upon Allaah before it, and was pleased with what it fulfilled after al-Istikharah then he has established al-Uboodeeyah (servitude of worship for Allaah).’

Two Eyes Protected From The Fire

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : حرم على عينين أن تنالهما النار عين بكت من خشية الله وعين باتت تحرس الإسلام وأهله من أهل الكفر

The Messenger of Allāh Ṣallallāhu-'Alaihi Wa Sallam said: “Two sets of eyes have been forbidden from Hellfire reaching them, an eye that weeps out of fear of Allāh and an eye that stays awake protecting Islām and its people from the people of disbelief (i.e in Jihād).”

The dua of the traveller is not rejected:

The Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu allahyi wa salaam) said; "Three supplications will not be rejected (by Allah (subhanahu wa ta'la), the supplication of the parent for his child, the supplication of the one who is fasting, and the supplication of the traveler.

Early morning…

The best thing to do during the early morning hours is to be preoccupied with prayer, Qur’an, supplication, remembrance of Allah, and asking His Forgiveness.

Al-Hasan Al-Basri (رحمه الله):

"Patience is a treasure amongst the treasures of good that Allaah does not grant except to a servant that is noble to Him."

Ibn Baz (Rahimahullah): The Ruling Concerning the Saying “You Don’t Deserve It”

Question:

The brother “A. ‘A. Ḥ.” from Riyadh says in his question:

Some people, when they visit one of the sick, say to him, “You don’t deserve it.” It is as if, with this [phrase], he is expressing disapproval of Allāh’s will.

Or some people, when they hear that a particular person from among people is sick, say, “By Allāh, he doesn’t deserve it.”

We hope the eminent shaikh will make clear [whether] this speech is permissible or not. May Allāh grant you a good reward.

Answer:

This speech is not permissible because it expresses disapproval of Allāh, All-Perfect is He. He, All-Perfect is He, has greater knowledge of His slaves’ conditions, and He possesses the furthest limits of wisdom in whatever He ordains and makes happen to His slaves of health and sickness, wealth and poverty, and other than that.

The only thing that has been established in Islāmic legislation as permissible is his saying, “May Allāh remove everything bad and harmful from him,” “May Allāh cure him,” and the like of that from good expressions.

May Allāh grant all Muslims the true success of having [correct] understanding in the religion and being established firmly upon it.

He is truly the best of those who are asked.

“If you fall into a hardship that is hard to be free from, you can’t (do anything) but make du’aa and take refuge in Allah , after repenting from sins, because sins necessitate punishment, so if they disappear by repentance from them, the reason (for punishment) is lifted.

So if you repented and made du’aa, and did not see any trace of response, then look into your affair. Maybe the repentance was not sound, so correct it then make du’aa and don’t become tired of making du’aa.

Maybe the good is in delaying the response, and maybe the good is not in responding, so you will be rewarded and responded by being referred to what benefits you, and it would be beneficial for you to not be given what you requested, but rather to be given other than it as a replacement.

So if iblees comes and says: ‘How much did you call upon Him and did not see any response?’ Then say: ‘I worship ( Allah ) by making du’aa, and I am certain that the answer will come. But maybe its delay is due to some good, and even if it doesn’t happen, worship and humility takes place.’

So take care not to ask for something except by combining it with asking for that which is good, because the occurrence of many a wish from the dunyaa was a cause for destruction.”

*🔴Stop Using "Rest In Peace!"*

It has been reported from ‘Ā'ishah, may Allāh be pleased with her, that she said:
“The people said: O Messenger of Allāh, so and so has died and she has gone to rest: Upon which the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ became angry and said: Only the one who has been forgiven (by Allāh) rests!”

*Methods of Weight Loss…diet, surgery, and Fear of Allaah*
Explained by Shaykh Abdur Rahman al-Muhyiudeen

Question: May Allaah grant you good, may Allaah bless you, may Allaah bring about benefit through you. The questioner says: Some people are overweight so they have surgery to shrink their stomach and clasp a portion of the stomach by placing around ita partition or something thus food is not able to reach this portion of the stomach. By doing this their weight greatly decreases rapidly. What is the ruling for this? May Allaah grant you good.

Shaykh Abdur Rahman al-Muhyiudeen: If this does not harm him there is no prohibition. The starting point is to treat the causes for obesity; and to find what are these causes? In most cases obesity is of two types—do you understand?

There is obesity from natural causes and obesity caused by illness.

As for obesity from natural causes this can be reduced by fear; each time the person reflects upon the hereafter he becomes fearful. This is because fear, extreme fear—Is wear by Allaah—will shake the person and remove his fat, remove his weight and turn him grey-headed from fearing the Greatness of Allaah. Fear! There is nothing worthy of worship except for Allaah alone without partners.
The Messenger peace be upon him informed us that during the last days obesity would increase (1), and the reason for this is the people giving in to the lusts and desires of their souls. Fear! Nothing has the right to be worshipped except for Allaah. Sins and transgressions have increased, corruption has increased and the people are not afraid. There is nothing worthy of worship except for Allaah. Fat can be reduced if it is from this respect.
If it is due to illness; the person can treat himself. If he has an illness which is causing this he looks at his food and drink, he diets and decreases his food intake. And if he has surgery to block his stomach this is not prohibited; this is not prohibited. It is permissible.

Translated by Rasheed ibn Barbee

(1) There will come after you, people who will bear witness without being asked to do so, and will be treacherous
and untrustworthy, and they will vow and not fulfill their vows, and fatness will appear among them. (Sahih al-Bukhari 3650)
