Why is Knowledge Learned?

It is reported that Sufyān Al-Thawrī – Allāh have mercy on him – said:

Knowledge is only learned to [apply it and] put into practice the Taqwā of Allāh the mighty and sublime.

🔶Beware of the Hypocrisy and Corruption of the Two-faced

The Messenger of Allāh [ﷺ] said:

“Indeed the worst of the people are the two-faced, those who go to one group of people with one face and a different group with another.”

📚Sahīh al-Bukhārī(3232, 5719 and 6765) and Sahīh al-Muslim (4566, 4693 and 4694)

Imām Al-Nāwawī رحمه الله said:

‘He is the one who goes to each group of people with that which will please them, so he gives them the impression that he is with them and against the other group, and his action is that of hypocrisy, lying, deceit and using trickery to uncover the secrets of each group; and it is from the prohibited sycophancy.’

The best wealth is gratitude, remembrance, and a faithful spouse.

Thawban (Radiy'Allah'anhu) reported: When the verses about gold and silver were revealed, they said, “What kind of wealth should we acquire?” Umar said, “I will learn it for you.” He rode on his camel until he caught up to the Prophet and I followed him. Umar said, “O Messenger of Allah, what kind of wealth should we acquire?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “You should acquire a grateful heart, a tongue of remembrance, and a believing wife to help you in the matters of the Hereafter.”

MAKING UP MISSED FASTS OF RAMADAN in Rajab: Is it permissible?

Q: Please, inform me about the months during which one can make up for the missed fasts of Ramadan. What are the Pillars of Iman (Faith)? How can one be a sinless Muslim? I have a brother who did not fast the last days of Ramadan i.e. 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30. Now, he wants to make up for them in Rajab, so what is your opinion?

A: It is obligatory for your brother to make up for the days he did not fast in Ramadan. He should hasten to do so immediately after Ramadan, unless there is an excuse. It is permissible for your brother to make up for these days in Rajab.
May Allah grant us success! May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions!

Causes of The Decrease of Imaan

Shaykh Muhammad ibn asaalih al-Uthaymeen رحمه الله said:

From the causes of the decrease of imaan are:

1⃣- First: Ignorance with the (Lofty) Names of Allaah The Most High and His Denoscriptions.
2⃣- Second: Turning away from the reflection in the ayat of Allaah The Most High of Kuwniyyah (Universal) and Shar'iyyah (Legislative).
3⃣- Third: Disobedience(to Allaah); indeed disibedience has a great affect upon the heart and upon the imaan.
4⃣- Four: Abandoning obedience (to Allaah); indeed abandoning obedience is a cause for the decrease of Imaan.
