Ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbalī Raḥimahullāh: “Eemān has a sweetness that can be tasted by hearts just like the sweetness of food and drink can be tasted by mouth.”

Hope And Fear Of Allāh | SubḥānAllāh

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : لو يعلم المؤمن ما عند الله من العقوبة ما طمع في الجنة أحد ولو يعلم الكافر ما عند الله من الرحمة ما قنط من الجنة أحد

The Messenger of Allāh Ṣallallāhu-‘Alaihi Wa Sallam said: “If the believer knew what is (prepared) with Allāh of the punishment, NONE would HOPE for Jannah and if the disbeliever knew what is (prepared) with Allāh of the mercy, NONE would DESPAIR of (attaining) Jannah.”

● [رواه الترمذي في سننه برقم ٣٥٤٢]
Ruling on writing Qur’aanic Aayaat in shapes of trees or at the back of the cars:

۩ Writing the name of Allaah at the back of the cars etc.:

Shaikh Ibn Baaz رحمه الله said:

• It is not permissible for the calligrapher or the artist or other than them to write Allaah or any other Names from al-Asmaa’ al-Husnaa or from His Loft Attributes at the back of the cars.

• The owner of the vehicle should not let them do so; irrespective it is for decoration/adornment, or for seeking blessings, or as a means of reminder or warning.

• It has no basis, neither from the Book of Allaah تعالى nor from the Sunnah of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.

• This is not the way we worship Allaah.

• If it was legislated, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم would have informed us about it.

• It is a means of disrespecting the Names of Allaah and His Attributes, and not honoring them the way they should be honored, and a means of belittling them.

• It becomes a means for Shirk if a person believes that writing them will benefit him or protect him from some harm.

• Allaah تعالى did not reveal His Names and Attributes so that they be written/painted upon some devices or banners or on cars.

• Allaah تعالى revealed His Names and Attributes so that He informs His slaves about Himself so that they believe in Him and affirm these Names and Attributes; so that they believe in the Perfection and the Loftiness of the Lord.

• And that the slaves use these Names and Attributes while beseeching Him when they are at ease or in their hours of need.

•۩۞۩•

۩ Writing the Qur’aanic Aayaat in the shape of trees and birds:

Shaikh Ibn Baaz رحمه الله said:

• It is prohibited to write the Qur’aanic Aayaat in the shape/form of trees birds or something else.

• Similarly, it is prohibited to draw them on dishes or canvases for decoration or as a means to promote your merchandise.

• The doer will be sinful.

• It is disrespecting the Qur’aan and belittling it.

• It might end up in a place where it is not suited for it, especially after the time period when the surface on which it is written starts to wear out (or when the painting starts to fade) or when it gets misplaced or lost during transportation from one place to another.

• Allaah تعالى revealed the Qur’aan:
-- as an admonition.
-- as a reminder.
-- as a lesson.
-- as a healing (for the disease of ignorance, doubts etc.) in the chest.
-- so that its commands are carried out.
-- so that it is recited during the days and the nights.
-- so that they believe in it.
-- so that through it they may grow more in Imaan (Faith).
-- so that through it, Allaah تعالى increases their statuses.

[al-Jaami fee fiqh al-allaamah Ibn Baaz pg. 1155-1156]
The Prophet (sallallahu Allahyi wa salaam) said, “The one who repents from sin is like the one who never sinned.” [Ibn Maja (3240)]He also said, “Remorse is repentance.” [Ibn Maja (4242) and Ahmad (3387)]
Sufyān b. 'Uyaynah Raḥimahullāh:

"The one who is aware of himself is never deceived by the praise."

Shaikh Ibn ‘Uthaimeen rahimahuAllaah said:

“Whenever you fulfil the needs of your brother, Allaah will fulfil your needs!”

“A true Muslim brotherhood is one who keeps advising, reminding and directing you to the straight path. He never keeps himself away from you nor flatters you.Rather, he gives you counsel and admonishes you. He reminds you to be mindful of Allah. He shows the path of salvation so that you can follow it and warns you of treading the path of perdition so that you can steer clear of it.”

-Shaykh Ibn Baaz rahimahullaah
[Majmoo ‘Fatwaa Ibn Baaz 14:21]
Be a Person with Character.

Ibn Uthaymeen (Rahimahullah) said:

"It is incumbent upon the Muslim not to be a person without character, a person following every other individual; instead, he should form his character based upon what is required by the Law of Allaah, the Most High, so that he be one who is followed, not a follower, and so that he may be an example for others, not one who follows others' examples."

Is crying due to illness considered a form of ungratefulness to Allaah?

Shaykh ibn Baaz رحمه الله

[Q]: I am ill and I sometimes cry because of what happens to me after my illness. Is this considered an action which opposes Allāh and of not being pleased with what He has decreed? I do not do this action willfully. Likewise, does that ruling also include talking to my relatives about my illness?

[A]: “There is no harm in crying, if it is simply tears coming from the eyes, without wailing. This is based upon the statement of the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم when his son Ibraheem passed away: “The eye sheds tears and the heart grieves, yet we do not say anything except what is pleasing to our Lord. By your death - O Ibraheem - we are indeed in grief.” [1] The aḥadeeth with this meaning are numerous.” [2]

*The Reward of Voluntary Salah When Praying Alone*

The Reward of Voluntary Salah When Praying Alone

The Prophet Sallallahu alayhi was sallam said “The voluntary salah of a man (performed) where people are unable to see him, outweighs the salah (performed) where people are able to see him by twenty-five degrees.”

[Musnad Abi Ya’la, and attributed to him by Ibn Hajar in ‘Mutaalib al-Aaliyah’, 4/534; see also ‘Ikmal al-Ikmal’, 3/337 – graded as saheeh by al-Albani in ‘Saheeh al-Jaami’, 3821]
“If the human knew the pleasure of meeting Allāh and being near Him, he would feel grief for being distant from Him.”

[Imām Ibn Qayyim رحمه الله تعالى Al-Fawā'id, (p.119)]
Only one sect out of 73 will enter Jannah

"The Muslims will split into 73 sects, and only one sect will go to Jannah". (Bukahri, Muslim, Tirmidhie, Abu Dawud etc).

From Anas that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

"The Children of Israa’eel divided into seventy-one sects and the Christians divided into seventy-two sects. And my Ummah shall divide into seventy-three sects, all of them being in the Fire except one sect."

These are not weak hadiths.

I read this from a list of the signs of the judgement day and so I decided to do more research about it. We should not take this hadith lightly. It's important that we are following the right path. This clearly states that only one sect will go to Jannah so we should our belief wisely. True Islam is followed according to the Quran (legistlation for Muslims) and the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammed PBUH. If the Prophet didn't mention us as this and that, then we can't fall under those made up (man made) sects.

'Surely unity is God's rope; therefore hold fast all together to 'its firm handle' (see Qur'an 2:256).

Imam al-Razi (d. 606/1210; Rahimahullah) was quoted as saying in conclusion to his commentary on the above ayat:
"If a person going down into a well must hold fast to a rope in order that he may not fall in, so also the Book of God, His covenant, religion and obedience to Him, as well as unity and harmony among the people of faith are means of security for anyone who holds fast to them from falling into the bottom of Hell."

Surah al-Imran (3:105):
"And be not like those who separated and disputed after the clear proofs had come unto them: For such there is an awful doom."
Surah al-Imran (3:110):
"Ye are the best community that has been raised up for mankind. Ye enjoin the good and forbid the evil; and ye believe in Allah"
Surah Al-An'am (6:159):
"As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou has no part in them in the least: Their affair is with Allah: He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did."
Surah Al-Mu'minun (23:52-53):
"And verily this Ummah of yours is a single Ummah and I am your Lord, so keep your duty unto Me. But they have broken their religion among them into sects, each sect rejoicing in its tenets."
Surah Al-Rum (30:32):
"Those who split up their Religion, and become Sects, each sect exulting in its tenets."
Surah Al-Nisa (4:115):
"He that disobeys the Apostle (Muhammad) after guidance has been made clear to him and follows a way other than that of the believers, We appoint for him that unto which he himself hath turned, and expose him unto Hell - a hapless journey's end!"
Surah Al-An'am (6:153):
"This is My Straight path, so follow it. Follow not other ways, lest ye be parted from His way. This has he ordained for you, that ye may ward off (evil)."

Abu Hurayra (Allah be pleased with him) reported the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) as saying:

"Who (ever) defected from the obedience (to the Amir) and separated from the main body of the Muslims - then he died in that state - would die the death of one belonging to the days of Jahiliyya (pre-Islamic ignorance). And he who is killed under the banner of a man who is blind (to the cause for which he is fighting), who gets flared up with family pride and fights for his tribe - is not from my Ummah, and whoso from my followers attacks my followers (indiscriminately) killing the righteous and the wicked of them, sparing not (even) those staunch in faith and fulfilling not his obligation towards them who have been given a pledge (of security), is not from me." (Sahih Muslim)

Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with him) reported the Prophet (Peace be upon him) as saying:

"One who found in his Amir (the ruler of the true Islamic state; which is absent today) something which he disliked should hold his patience, for one who separated from the main body of the Muslims even to the extent of a handspan and then he died, would die the death of one belonging to the days of Jahiliyya." (Sahih Muslim)

Imam's Ahmad and Abu D
awood (Allah's mercy be upon them) said that Abu Dharr (Allah be pleased with him) reported the Prophet (Peace be upon him) as saying:
"He who separates from the main body (of the Ummah) by even a hand's breadth from the Community he throws off Islam from his neck." (Mishkat-ul-Masabih/Sunan Abu Dawood)

*Pardoning and forgiving*

A Jewish women brought a poisoned sheep to the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) and he ate that poisoned sheep...some of the Companions brought that woman to the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam)

and said should we not kill her? and he said No so who are you Abd-Allaah or Amaatullaah, when you are asked to forgive you say you are unable?

You not only harm that person (who you hold a grudge against) but you harm yourself!
Ibn 'Abbās رضي الله عنه said

" Whoever listens to a verse of the Qur'ān it is a light for him. "
