--- Dua is a kind of compensation ---

The sincere people do not ask from the one who they do good to any praise or even Dua’a. Because Dua’a is a kind of compensation and favour.

Evidence that shows Dua’a is a kind of compensation.

The narration quoted by the Prophet (Salla Allaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam), “ Whoever does good deeds by you, then compensate him. If you do not find anything to give him in compensation, then supplicate for him until you think that you have compensated him. [Abu Dawood and An-Nasa’i]

So when they are compensated with Dua’a, they return it with Dua’a like it, in order to get the full reward from Allah.

Narrated by Aisha (Radia Allaahu ‘anha), “The meat of a sheep was given as a gift to the Prophet (Salla Allaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam). He said, “Distribute it”. When the servant came back, Aisha asked him, “What did they say to you?” He replied, “They said BaarakAllahu feekum.” Aisha answered “Wafeehum BaraakAllah (And may Allah bless them too).

We reply to them, what they say to us, so the full reward will be remained for us. [An-Nasa’I and authenticated by al-Albani].

Out of complete sincerity of Aisha (Radia Allaahu ‘anha), she was not waiting for anything in return, not even their Dua’a.

This is affirmed in Allah’s Book in Surat al-Insan 76:8-9:

وَيُطْعِمُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ مِسْكِينًا وَيَتِيمًا وَأَسِيرًا

إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ لا نُرِيدُ مِنْكُمْ جَزَاءً وَلا شُكُورًا

And they give good in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan and the captive.

(Saying): “We feed you only for the Countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude”.

During the Last Days Sudden Death will Increase An important reminder from Shaykh Salih al fawzaan حفظه الله

Shaykh Fawzan: Pay attention to this. During the last days sudden death will increase.
You are healthy, strong, and youthful, and then you die suddenly; either in a car accident, or by heart failure, or by any unexpected reason. And how often does this occur! And you witness this and hear about this.

Thus it is upon us to increase in repentance and seeking forgiveness. And we must not forget about the abode of the hereafter. We must not forget about death. We must not forget about the reckoning. Then on the Day of Judgment there will be scales; scales to weigh the deeds and actions.

Then, those whose scales are heavy (with good deeds), - these, they are the successful.

And those whose scales are light (their sins outweigh their good deeds), they are those who lose their souls, in the Hell-fire will they abide.1
They are those who lose their souls (or themselves). They didn’t lose their wealth, rather they lost their souls.
Their recompense will be the Hell-fire. Will they remain in the Hell-fire for one day, two days? No. They will remain there forever. They will remain there for eternity.
There is no Might or Power except with Allah.

What’s My Future?

The Messenger of ALLAAHصلى الله تعالى عليه وعلى آله وأصحابه وسلم said:

“Whoever wants to know what ALLAAH has prepared for him, he should look to what he has prepared for ALLAAH.”

[Abu Nu’aym, Al-Hilyah, Silsilah Ahadeeth As-Saheehah]

What a beautiful, simple formula to calculate one’s future with! Match yourself against the Quran and the Sunnah to know who you are, and look what you have set aside for ALLAAHتعالى. To know what ALLAAH, THE MIGHTY AND MAJESTIC HAS PREPARED for you.

‘O you who believe! Fear ALLAAH and let each soul see what it has sent forward for the morrow and fear ALLAAH.’ [Surah Hashr: 18]

‘Umarرضي الله تعالى عنه used to say:

“Take account of yourselves before you are taken into account, weigh your deeds before they are weighed.”

Hasan Al-Basri (Rahimahullah) said:

“A believer will always be critical of himself, in his food, his drink and his speech. A sinner will not criticize himself.” He also said: “A believer is guardian over himself; he takes account of himself for ALLAAH. Those who take account of themselves in this world, will be audited lightly in the Hereafter. Those who take this issue lightly will find their auditing very difficult.”

[Igathat al-lahfan 1/99-101 by Imam Ibnul Qayyim al-Jawziyyah].
THE FIVE SONS OF IBLEES !!!

Mujahid (Rahimahullah) said:

Iblees has five sons, he appointed each of them on one of his affairs. Their names are:

1. Thabr
2. Al-A'war
3. Musawwat
4. Dasim
5. Zulunbur

• As for Thabr, he is responsible for calamities. He orders people to rip their clothes, slap their cheeks and make the call of ignorance when stricken by calamity.

• Al-A'war is responsible for fornication. He beautifies it and orders others to commit it.

• As for Musawwat, he is responsible for lies. He hears the news and transfers it to someone else, who in turn, goes to a gathering of people and tells them: I met a person whose face I know but I do not know his name. He told me such and such.

• Dasim shows a wife’s faults to her husband and makes him angry with them.

• And Zulunbur is responsible for the market place. He sticks his flag therein.

[Ibn Abi al-Dunya in Maka'd al-Shaytan, 54/35]
Dua for protection when going out.

Allaahumma 'innee 'a'oothu bika 'an 'adhilla, 'aw 'udhalla, 'aw 'azilla, 'aw 'uzalla, 'aw 'adhlima, 'aw 'udhlama, 'aw 'ajhala 'aw yujhala 'alayya.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You lest i misguide others, or I am misguided by others, lest I cause others to err or I am caused to err, lest I abuse others or be abused, and lest I behave foolishly or meet with the foolishness others.

When the Fitnah of Wealth, Woman, and Fame gets combined together:

Usaamah Ibn Zaid reported that Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:
❝After me, I have not left any trial more severe to men than women.❞
[Saheehain]

Abu Saeed al-Khudree reported that Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:
❝The world is sweet and green (alluring), and verily Allaah makes you generations succeeding one another so that He may try you in respect to your actions. So avoid the allurement of the world and those of women. Verily, the first trial for the Banee Israa’eel was through women.❞
[Saheeh Muslim]

Ka
b bin `Iyaad narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
❝Indeed there is a fitnah for every Ummah, and the Fitnah for my Ummah is wealth.❞
[Sunan al-Tirmidhee, and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

الحمد لله الذي عافانا مما ابتلاهم به ، وفضّلنا على كثير ممن خلق تفضيلا

“All praise is for Allaah Who saved us from that which He tested them with, and Who most certainly favored us over much of His creation”
A man once came to Al-Hasan al-Basri and complained to him:
“The sky does not shower us with rain.” He replied: “Seek Allah’s forgiveness (i.e. say ﺃﺳﺘﻐﻔﺮ ﺃﻟﻠﻪ ).”

Then another person came to him and said,
“I complain of poverty.”
He replied:
“Seek Allah’s forgiveness.”

Then another person came to him and complained,
“My wife is barren; she cannot bear children.
” He replied:
“Seek Allah’s forgiveness.”

The people who were present, said to al-Hasan: “Everytime a person came to you complaining, you instructed them to Only to seek Allah’s forgiveness?”

Al-Hasan al-Basri said, “Have you not read the statement of Allah?
“Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Truly He is Oft-Forgiving. He will send rain to you in abundance; increase you in wealth and children; grant you gardens and bestow on you rivers.”‘” [Nuh (71):10-12]

There are two things in the earth that give a person safety and security from the punishment of Allah.
The first has been removed, whilst the second still remains.
As for the first, it was the Messenger of Allah ( ﺻﻠﻲ ﺃﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭ ﺳﻠﻢ ).“Allah would not punish them while you were among them.” [al-Anfal (8):33]
As for the second, it is istighfar. “Allah would not punish them as long as they sought forgiveness.” [al-Anfal (8):33] ﺃﺳﺘﻐﻔﺮ ﺃﻟﻠﻪ …

Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu 'Alayhi Wa Sallam) said, “If anyone continually asks forgiveness, Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress, relief from anxiety, and will provide for him from where he never realized.”

[Abu Dawood, Hadith 59
Question:

Which of the two are better; the intention or the action?

Answer:

((The intention of the believer is better than his action)) – This has been said by more than one person, and some of them raise it, so the clarification of this is from a number of angles:

Firstly: that the mere intention by itself without action is rewarded for, whilst action without intention is not rewarded for

Secondly: Whosoever sees a good, and acts it out as far as one is able to, but could not complete it – then he has the reward of the one who carried it out, due to his saying ('alaihis salaatu was salaam): ((Indeed present in Al-Madeenah there are men, you did not march along the way, and nor did you traverse a valley – except that they were with you…)) (reported by Muslim)

Thirdly: The heart is king of the body, and the body parts are his soldiers, so if the king has with himself goodness then likewise his soldiers will likewise have goodness, and if he is corrupt, then they likewise are corrupted, and so the intention is the actions of the king.

Fourthly: The repentance of the one weak against sins is correct with Ahl us Sunnah, as is the repentance of the eunuch from fornication, as is the repentance of the speechless one from false accusation, and the root of repentance is: determination of the heart.

Fifthly: Corruption does not enter into the intention, since its very foundation is love of Allaah and His Messenger, and the seeking of Allaah’s face; this in itself is something loved by Allaah and His Messenger, and pleasing to Allaah and His Messenger. Whilst in the outward actions many missed opportunities can appear in them, for this reason the actions of the hearts alone are better than the actions of the body alone, as it is said: “The strength of the believer lies in his heart, and his weakness is in his body” and the hypocrite is the opposite of this, and Allaah knows best.

Sayyiduna Abdullah Ibn Mas'ood Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu said:

"If the knowledge of 'Umar was put on one side of a scale, and the knowledge of the people on the other side of the scale, 'Umar's knowledge would weigh more."[Al-Mustadrak 'ala al-Sahîhayn‎, Vol. 3, Page 92, Hadith 4497]

Sayyiduna Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bestow peace and blessings upon him) said,

“Abu Bakr and Umar are to the religion like the station of the hearing and the sight to the head.” [Al-Khattib in Tarikh, Vol. 8, Page 459 from Jabir]

Salvation lies in 3 things:

Allaah تعالى said:

{O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and good on the earth, and follow not the footsteps of Shaitaan (Satan). Verily, he is to you an open enemy.} [Surah al-Baqarah (2): 168]

Salvation lies in 3 things:

Sahl bin `Abdullaah رحمه الله said: “Salvation lies in three things:
1) Eating the Halaal.
2) Performing the obligations.
3) Following (emulating) the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.

[Tafseer al-Qurtobee (2/208)]

ON OBESITY; REACTION OF UMAR (RA)

🔹Umar Ibn al-KHATTAB's advice
Here is 'Umar giving advice on staying fit and healthy and also on avoiding harming people with your sickness.🔹

🔹His concern for the people's health

'Umar was concerned about the people's health. He would warn them against the consquences and dangers of being fat, and would advise them to lose weight, because that would give them strenth to strive and enable them to fulfil their duties. He used to say: " O' people, beware of eating too much, for it makes you lazy in prayer, is bad for your body and causes sickness. Allah hates the fat man. Rather you should be moderate in your eating, for that is closer to righteousness and farther removed from extravagance, and makes one stronger to worship Allah. No person will be doomed unless he gives precedence to his desires over his religious committment."[1]🔹

🔹Ibn al-Jawzi stated that 'Umar saw a man with a huge belly and said: "What is this?" He said, "A blessing from Allah." He said, "Rather it is a punishment from Allah."[2]🔹

🔹UMAR ra used to emphasize the importance of exercise, horsemanship and horseback riding. He used to say: "Teach your children swimming and archery, and train them to be proficient on horseback, and teach them some beautiful poetry."[4]

"Do not make the religion dead"🔹
Ibn 'Abbās رضي الله عنهما: “The one who has in him no Qur'ān (i.e does not recite Qur'ān) is like a ruined house.”

🌿 The Early Morning Hours🌿

The best thing to do during the early morning hours is to be preoccupied with prayer, Qur’an, supplication, remembrance of Allah, and asking His Forgiveness.

[Ibn al-Qayyim; ‘Madarij as-Salikin’ (1/188)]
The Prophet [ﷺ] said:

❝For the believers, the Day of Judgement will pass like the time between Thuhr and ‘Asr.❞

[Sahīh al-Jāmi’, (No. 8193) | Translated By Abū Ruqayyah 'Abd us-Samad]
Shaikh al-`Uthaymeen supplicated saying:

"I ask Allaah تعالى for al-Hidaayah (guidance) and Deen al-Haqq (true religion)."

He رحمه الله then explained their meaning, saying:

"al-Hidaayah is beneficial knowledge and Deen al-Haqq is acting upon that knowledge."
