Is the Muslimah permitted to wear other than a black covering?
Shaykh al-Albaanee (rahimahullaah) said: “And know that it is NOT considered as an adornment if the cover of a woman is of other colours, and not white or black. This is something that is unclear to some of the Muslim women who are sticking to and practicing the religion. [They think that wearing a cover of other colours is not permissible.] And to prove this, there are two main points:
Firstly: His statement (salAllaahu alaiyhi wa sallaam): “The perfume of the women is the one which has a light scent and a strong revealing colour, while that of men is that which has a light colour and a strong scent.” [ Aboo Dawood and it is a saheeh hadeeh]
Secondly: (We look to) The actions of the female companions regarding this issue. And on this I will bring some established narrations on this issue. And these are those narrated by al-Haafidh ibn Abee Shaybah in his book al-Musannaf:
» From Ibraaheem (al-Nakhaa’ee): That he together with ‘Alqamah and al-Aswad used to enter upon the wives of the Prophet (salAllaahu alaiyhi wasallam), and they used to see them dressed in red outer coverings.”
» Ibn Abee Mulaykah who said, “I saw Umm Salamah (radiAllaahu anha) dressed in clothing, and a covering dyed with saffron (this is either yellow or red in colour).”
» Al-Qaasim ibn Muhammad ibn Aboo Bakr as-Siddeeq: “That ‘Aa’ishah (radiAllaahu anha) used to wear yellow clothing and she was in a state of Ihraam.”‘

What The Heart Acquires From The Qur'aan
The Allaama Ibn Uthaymeen [رحمه الله] said:
"Every time a person’s Eeman strengthens with the Qur’aan, then Allaah gives Yaqeen [certainty] due to the evidences of the Qur’aan which cannot be found in any other book.
This is why I encourage you and my self to have complete concern for the Qur'aan, reciting it, reflecting upon it and acting upon it.
Experience this for yourself, return to the Qur’aan in these matters and see what your heart acquires from Eemaan, delight of the heart, light of the heart and light on the face."

Allah will Ask Him on The Day of Resurrection - Shaykh Uthaymeen
Oh people! Indeed many of the common people give fatawa to one another without any knowledge. So you find them saying "this is halal, or this is haraam, or this is waajib" etc. And he knows (nothing) about these affairs. Does this man not know that Allah will ask him about what he said on the Day of Resurrection?!
Does he not know that if he misguided an individual – that if he made permissible that which Allah has made haraam or made haraam that which Allah has made halal for the person – then he is the cause for that persons sins.
And does he not know that he will have the like of those sins for those actions which were caused by his fataawa?!
Slightly paraphrased

Advice About Being Too Lax When Narrating Hadeeth - By Moosaa Richardson
⏰ *Hearts Are Always In Need of Reminder Regarding What Allaah Revealed Because An Absence of Reminder Hardens Them*
In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy
⚙Allaah [The Most High] said:
_Has not the time come for the hearts of those who believe [in the Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism] to be affected by Allah’s Reminder [this Qur’an], and that which has been revealed of the truth, lest they become as those who received the Scripture [the Taura (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] before, and the term was prolonged for them *and so their hearts were hardened*? And many of them were Fasiqun [rebellious, disobedient to Allah]_.
📖[Soorah Al-Hadeed: Ayah: 16]
*Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said*:
⚡And when it is the case that Eemaan necessitates humility and calls for it, therefore they were called [to move up] from the station of Imaan to the station of Ihsaan; Meaning, _‘’Has the time not come for them to reach Ihsaan through Imaan and actualize that through their submission to Allaah’s Reminder [The Qur’aan], which Allaah sent down to them_.
*Ibn Mas’ood [radiyallaahu-anhu] said*,
📢‘’There was only four years between our [embracing] Islaam and [the revelation of this] admonition to us.
⚡And regarding the statement of Allaah:
وَلَا يَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ
_Lest they become as those who received the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] before, and the term was prolonged for them and so their hearts were hardened?’’_
*Imaam as-Saa’di [rahimahullaah] said*:
That is:
💥Do NOT become like those to whom Allaah revealed the book, which obligates humility and complete submission on the hearts; but they [i.e. those who received the noscripture] neither preserved [the noscripture] nor were they firm [in holding unto it];
‼rather the term was prolonged for them whilst they continued upon heedlessness, so their Eemaan dwindled and their certainty ceased.
*So, the hearts are always in need of a reminder regarding that which Allaah has revealed and the wisdom behind it.*
It is NOT permissible to be heedless of that, for indeed that is a cause for the hardening of the hearts.

On the authority of Abu Huraira, on the authority of Messenger of Allaah [ﷺ] that he said:
❝I order you with three and I prohibit you from three; I order you to worship Allaah and not to associate anyone with Him.
Hold together to the Rope of Allaah and do not separate.
Obey the one whom Allaah places as a ruler over you.

The danger of speaking without knowledge.
’Uqbah bin Muslim said: For 34 years I kept Ibn ’Umar’s company and he used to often say ”I don’t know” (when he was asked about anything).
Whereupon he would turn towards me and say: ”Do you know what these people want? They want to make our backs bridges into the Hellfire (by speaking about Islam without knowledge)!

Changing evil by one’s hand:
⚪ Allaah has described the believers as denouncing evil and as enjoining what is good. He says (interpretation of the meaning): “The believers, men and women, are Awliyaa’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another; they enjoin (on the people) Al‑Ma‘roof (i.e.Islamic Monotheism and allthat Islam orders one to do), and forbid (people) from Al‑Munkar (i.e. polytheism and disbelief ofall kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden)”[al-Tawbah 9:71]
⚪ “Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islam), enjoining Al-Ma‘roof (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and allthat Islam orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (polytheism anddisbelief and all that Islam has forbidden)”[Aal ‘Imraan 3:104]
⚪ Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever among you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand [by taking action]; if he cannot, then with his tongue [by speaking out]; and if he cannot, then with his heart [by at least hating it and believing that it is wrong], and that is the weakest of faith.” Narrated by Muslim in hisSaheeh.
☑ Changing evil by one's hand should be done by those who are able to do that, such as those in positions of authority and the bodies in charge of such matters in the areas over which they have been appointed, the ruler in the area over which he has been appointed, the judge in the area over which he has been appointed, and by a man in his own house with his children and the members of his household, as much as he can.
But if he is not able to do that, or if changing it with his hand will lead to fitnah (tribulation) and conflict, and cause more harm than good, then he should not change it with his hand, rather he should change it with his tongue, by speaking out. That will be sufficient lest changing it with his hand will lead to a worse evil that that which he is seeking to change. This was stated by the scholars.
☑ In the case of changing evil with his tongue, it is sufficient for him to say, “O my brother, fear Allaah, this is not permitted, you should stop this, you should do such and such” and other good words spoken in a proper manner.
☑ After the tongue comes the heart, i.e., hating the evil in one's heart, showing that one hates it, and not sitting with those who do it. All of these come under the heading of changing it with one's heart. And Allaah is the Source of strength.
