Shaykh Abdur-Rahman al-Ajlaan – الشيخ عبد الرحمن العجلان
Question:
Is it correct for me to make Dua (supplication) to Allaah (Azza wa Jal) while I am prostrating that He teaches me the Noble Qur’an?
Answer:
Yes, O my brother.
Ask Allaah while you are prostrating for what you would love from the goodness of this world and the next world.
As for memorising the Qur’an then this is from the goodness of the next world. It is something by which the good deeds will be increased.
So, ask Allaah for this because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “As for the bowing then glorify the Lord in it, as for the prostration do a lot of praying in it because it is being worthy of answered for you, meaning it is suitable that it will be answered for you.
And the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) said, “The closest the slave is to his Lord is when he is prostrating.”
So, make Dua a lot, ask Allaah for what you would love, from the goodness of this world and the next world.

⚠️Light Of The HYPOCRITES Will Be Extinguished On The Bridge Of Siraat‼️
The hyocrites will say to those who believe:
"Wait for us! Let us get something from your light!" It will be said: "Go back to your rear! Then seek a light!"
[Qur'an 57:13]
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
That is the deception by which Allah deceives the hypocrites, whereby He ﷻ said:
Verily, the hypocrites seek to deceive Allah, but it is He Who deceives them.

=Ruling on saying luckily and unluckily=
It is Haram (prohibited) to use the expressions: (luckily/fortunately) and (unluckily/unfortunately), because they are attributing the occurrence of good or adverse events to luck (fortune), which has no control over anything and is not the cause for good or ill fate. Allah (Exalted be He) says: Surely, His is the Creation and Commandment. If the sayer of this thinks that such fortunes act by themselves, without the intervention of Allah, this is major Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship). However, if they think that everything is subject to Allah’s Decree Alone and they have only verbally said it, then it falls under polytheistic words, which conflicts with the obligation to have perfect Tawhid (belief in the Oneness of Allah).

🎖For The Seekers Of Knowledge📚
• Ibn al-Jawzi رحمه الله said:
“I used to go around Hadith gatherings of different scholars and run till I was out of breath so no one would precede me. I would start my day having nothing to eat and finish it having nothing to eat. Never did Allah degrade me to take from another person, instead He provided for me in order to protect my honor. Truth is, mentioning all my experiences would take quite a while.
And here I am now and you can see what I have achieved. I will tell you the whole story in one single sentence, and that is Allah's saying:
•••وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۖ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ اللَّهُ ۗ •••
Fear Allah, and Allah shall teach you.

#Earthquake
Ibn al-Qayyim said:
“Allah sometimes gives the earth permission to
breathe, which is when major earthquakes
happen;
- this makes people feel scared,
- so they repent,
- give up sins,
- pray to Allah and feel regret [for their sins].
When there had been an earthquake, some of
the Salaf said: your Lord is warning you.
When Medeenah was struck by an earthquake,
‘Umar Ibn al-Khattaab addressed the people
and said:
If there is another earthquake, I will not stay
here with you.”

Leave Whatever Disturbs The Peace Of Your Heart
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : البر ما سكنت إليه النفس ، واطمأن إليه القلب ، والإثم ما لم تسكن إليه النفس ، ولم يطمئن إليه القلب ، وإن أفتاك المفتون.
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Righteousness is that which brings serenity to the soul and satisfaction to the heart and the sin is that which neither settles with the soul nor brings satisfaction to the heart even if the judges (Muftīs) give verdict (of its permissibility) to you.”

✦Ibn Mas
(I seek the forgiveness of Allah, there is no true god except Allah, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting, and I turn to Him in repentance),"
His sins will be forgiven even if he should have runaway from the battlefield (while he was engaged infighting for the Cause of Allah).❞
