THE PROPHET صلى الله عليه وسلم SAID:

“This WORLD is CURSED, as is EVERYTHING in it, EXCEPT for remembrance of Allaah (DHIKR) and what he likes (righteous DEEDS etc), and a SCHOLAR or a STUDENT.”

[AL-TIRMIDHI 2322]

🔘 CLASSED as HASAN by TIRMIDHI, IBN AL-QAYYIM & AL-ALBAANI]
IBN TAYMIYYAH:

“The DISTINGUISHING characteristic between the BELIEVER and the HYPOCRITE is SINCERITY.”

[IBN TAYMIYYAHS FATAAWA v. 20, p. 75]
Speculative speech (kalaam) about Allaah, the Most High, is an innovation and misguidance

Sharhu Sunnah : Lesson 13 : Point 11
Shaykh Fawzan | Dawud Burbank [Audio|English]

The author Imam Barbahaaree rahimahullaah said,

And know, may Allaah have mercy upon you, that speculative speech, kalaam, about the Lord, the Most High, is a newly introduced matter and it is an innovation and misguidance. Nothing is to be said about the Lord except what He, the Mighty and Majestic, described Himself with in the Qur·aan and what the Messenger sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam explained to his Companions. So He, the Majestic in Renown, is One.

There is nothing like Him; and He is The All Hearing The All Seeing. (Sooratush-Shooraa (42), aayah 11)

Our Lord is the First without any beginning, and the Last without any end. He knows whatever is secret and whatever is most hidden. He has ascended over His Throne, and His Knowledge is in every place. And no place is free of His Knowledge.

Around ½ a year has passed since last Ramaḍān.

• have we improved
• have we sought more knowledge
• have we finished the Qur’ān since
• have we improved our relationship with our family
• have we steadily increased in worship

May Allāh allow us to reach Ramaḍān.

Nabii SULEIMAN عليه السلام asked Malak Al Mawt (Angel of DEATH) عليه السلام ; "Why do i NOT see you treat humanity RIGHTEOUSLY? You TAKE one man's soul while you LEAVE the other."

He ANSWERED; "I've only been given SCROLL and books with NAMES in them."

[KITĀB DHIKR AL MAWT WA MAA BA'DAHU, PAGE 51 by IMĀM AL GHAZAALI رحمه الله]
QUESTION: I Wanted to ask about the secret behind number 7. Suratul FATIHA has 7 verses, SAMAWAAT is 7, ARDH is 7. Could there be some wisdom behind it as to why Allah choose 7?

ANSWER: Undoubtedly the Qur’aan is miraculous, and there are many facets to its miraculous nature, such as linguistic, legislative, and so on.

Its challenge to mankind and the jinn to produce something similar to it still stands.

ALLAAH says “Say: If the mankind and the jinn were together to produce the like of this QUR’AAN, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another” [AL-ISRA’ 17:88].

IBN AL-QAYYIM discussed the number 7 in his book Zaad al-Ma’aad fi Huda Khayr al-‘Ibaad (4/90) when he discussed the hadeeth in al-Saheehayn: “The one who eats seven dates of al-‘Aaliyah in the morning will not be harmed that day by poison or witchcraft.”

He said: As for specifying the NUMBER SEVEN, it has to do with the creation and sahr’i commands of Allaah. Allaah created seven heavens, seven earths and seven days, and man’s creation is completed in seven stages; Allaah has prescribed that His slaves should walk around the Ka’bah seven times (tawaaf) and go back and forth between Safa and Marwah seven times (saa’i), and stone the jamaraat with seven pebbles each, and the takbeeraat of Eid are seven in the first rak’ah.

The PROPHET ﷺ said: “Instruct your children to pray when they are seven.” When the boy reaches the age of seven he should be given the choice between his parents according to one report, and according to another report, his father has more right to him than his mother; according to a third report his mother has more right to him. When he was sick, the PROPHET ﷺ ordered that water from seven skins be poured on him. Allaah sent the wind against the people of ‘Aad for seven days. The PROPHET ﷺ asked Allaah to help him by sending upon his people seven (years) like the seven years of Yoosuf – i.e., seven years of famine. Allaah likened the reward of one who gives charity to a grain that produces seven ears, in each of which are one hundred grains.

The number of ears of grain seen by the companion of YOOSUF (in the dream) was seven, the number of years for which they were cultivated was seven, and (the reward for charity) is multiplied seven hundred fold or more. Seventy thousand of this ummah will be admitted to Paradise without being brought to account.

Then IBN AL-QAYYIM commented: Undoubtedly this number has some special qualities that are not shared by other numbers. … Allaah knows best about His wisdom, laws and decree in singling out this number. End quote.

Based on this, the correct view is to REFRAIN from indulging in DISCUSSION of the reason why this number is singled out for mention, except on the basis of clear, sound evidence.

Either memorize these principles, or save it on your smartphones or make a note on your Facebook account. Many people are unaware of them and hence fall into Bidah. In the past few days, different people have come with the same argument, "isn't using Facebook a Bidah?"

To proceed...

Whenever the topic of Bidah comes up, to counter the argument, many come up with questions like:

"Did the Prophet ﷺ travel in a ship?

Did the Salaf travel in cars and planes?

Prove from the Sunnah that it is permissible to eat fried chicken?"

One has to understand that vehicles, planes, and ships are used only as a means to reach the destination, they are not part of
Ibaadah in themselves.

When we talk about Bidah, we are referring to innovations in the Deen only. We are not referring to innovations in Science and Technology.

Anyways, to get to the point, if the people would commit to memory these two principles, they would protect their Deen and save themselves from doubts and confusion.

The First Principle:
In the matters of
Ibaadah (Worship), everything is Haraam/not allowed unless proven from the Qur’aan and Sunnah.

And the evidence for this is the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: ❝whosoever does an action which we have not commanded then it will be rejected.❞ [Saheeh Muslim]

And also: ❝whosoever introduces into this religion of ours that which is not part of it then it must be rejected.❞ [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (2697) and Saheeh Muslim]

And there are many more Ahaadeeth.

The Second Principle:
And in the matters of customs (food, clothing etc.), everything is allowed unless prohibited in the Qur’aan and Sunnah.

And the evidence for this is the saying of Allaah تعالى :

{Say: "Who has forbidden the adornment of Allaah which He has produced for His servants and the good [lawful] things of provision?"} [Surah al-A`raaf]

And Allaah is the One who Grants success.
🍃The Categories of People Regarding Completion of The Qur'ān
"And the miskīn, the true miskīn, is the one who wasted his life learning what he does not practice, thus he looses the pleasures of the Dunyā and the goodness of the Ākhirah. (In addition to) Coming forth bankrupt (on the Day of Judgment) with strong evidences against himself.

🎥 The Doubt that the Origin of Muslims is Salafiyyah

REMINDER - MONDAY

It was narrated that 'A’ishah (may Allāh ﷻ be pleased with her) said:

‎"كان النبي ﷺ يتحرَّى صوم الاثنين والخميس"

"The Prophet ﷺ was keen to fast on Mondays and Thursdays."

[Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 745; al-Nasa’i, 2361; Ibn Majah, 1739; classed as authentic by al-Albani in Sahih al-Targhib, 1044]

It was also narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allāh ﷻ be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

‎"تُعرض الأعمال يوم الاثنين والخميس ، فأحب أن يعرض عملي وأنا صائم"

"Deeds are shown (to Allāh ﷻ) on Mondays and Thursdays, and I like my deeds to be shown when I am fasting."

[Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 747; classed as authentic by al-Albani in Sahih al-Targhib, 1041]

So do not forget to fast tomorrow if you are able to do so, and also try to remind others.

May Allāh ﷻ have mercy on you..Aameen
Usamah bin Zayd ~ reported that he heard the Prophet ~ say: "A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and thrown in the (Hell) Fire, so that his intestines will come out, and he will go around like a donkey goes around a millstone. The people of the (Hell) Fire will gather around him and say: 'O so-and-so! What is wrong with you? Didn't you use to order us to do good deeds and forbid us to do bad deeds?' He will reply: 'Yes, I used to order you to do good deeds, but I did not do them myself, and I used to forbid you to do bad deeds, yet I used to do them myself.

Recorded by Al-Bukhari in the book, "Creation", (chapter 10), Muslim in the book, "Az-Zuhcf' (Hadith 51), and Ahmad in his Musnad (5/ 205, 206, 209).
Abu Hurayrah  reported that the Messenger of Allah azza wa jall said: "In the last days, men would come forth who would use the religion fraudulently, for worldly ends, and wear sheepskins in public to appear meek. Their tongues would be sweeter than sugar, but their hearts would be as the hearts of wolves. Allah will say: 'Are they trying to deceive me, or are they acting presumptuously towards me? I swear, by myself, that I shall send a trial upon those people, which would leave the intelligent man among them confounded.

Recorded by At-Tirmidhi in the book, "Az-Zuhd", (chapter 60).
Ibn al-‘Attaar, the student of al-Nawawi, said:

Our Shaykh (may Allaah have mercy on him) told me that he never spent any time, by night or by day, without being busy with knowledge, and even on the road he would be reading. He continued like this for six years, then he began to write books. He never ate during the day or the night, except a meal after ‘Isha’ prayer, and he drank only once, just before dawn. He said: I am afraid that my body may become hydrated and make me want to sleep.

Ibn ‘Aqeel al-Hanbali said:

It is not permissible for me to waste an hour of my life even when my tongue is not busy with memorizing or debating with others, or my eyes are not busy in reading. I would think even when I am resting or relaxing, so I would not get up without an idea to write down. I limit the time I spend eating as much as I can, to such an extent that I choose a few crumbs and follow it with water rather than bread, because bread takes more time to chew, so as to save my time for reading or writing down some useful ideas. The best thing for the wise man to save is time.

Salaah al-Ummah (4/169-175)
Umar ibn Al-Khattāb (ra) whom was given the gift of true inspiration, said: “The handholds of Islam will break one after the other when people who are ignorant about Jāhiliyyah [pre-Islamic age] emerge in Islam.” [Narrated by ibn Taymiyyah (ra) in Minhāj As-Sunnah 2/398 and 4/590]
How to get ONE MILLION good deeds written for you!

Something we can all use, I think:

The Messenger of Allah said:

"Whoever enters the marketplace* and says:

'There is none worthy of worship except Allah who has no partners, for Him is the Dominion, and for Him is all Praise, He brings life and He causes death, and He is Alive and does not die, in His Hand is all good, and He is able to do all things'

... then Allah will write one million good deeds for him, will wipe away one million of his bad deeds, will raise him one million levels, and will build a home for him in Paradise."

['Sahih al-Jami''; # 6231]
