Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله mentioned:

“… Optional knowledge is better than the excellence of extra and optional worship. This is because the benefit of knowledge is general, it benefits its possessor and it benefits the rest of the people as well. Whereas the benefit of worship is particular to the person who does that worship. Also because with the scholar, his benefit and knowledge remains after his death. Whereas worship is cut off from him at his death.”

Beware of procrastination, for it is one of devil’s strongest weapons – Ibn al Jawzi
📚
Devil’s Deception of People by giving them High Hopes (of living long)
Many Jews and Christians contemplated joining Islam, but Iblis convinced them to procrastinate saying: “Do not rush, look more into the issue.” Until they die as non-Muslims.
He also causes the sinner to procrastinate seeking repentance. A poet said:
“Do not rush into committing a sin,
and then procrastinate repenting.”
Iblis makes those seeking righteousness feel lazy, and he causes those who are serious to procrastinate. He convinces a jurist to rest instead of going over his lesson again. And convinces a worshipper who had woken up to pray at night that he still has a lot of time. Iblis tries to make people lazy procrastinators, and to make them have hope (of a long life). A disciplined person must take advantage of time, and never procrastinate. That which is feared can never be trusted, and that which passes can never be brought back again. The main reason for doing less good and more evil is relying on the hope of a long life, this is because a person continues to procrastinate performing good deeds and refraining from evil deeds.
He who hopes to wake up in the morning will not do much at night, and he who hopes to travel during the day will travel much at night. However, he who sees death to be near works hard during his life. Allah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Perform prayer as if you were departing.” [1]
Some of the Salaf said: “Beware of procrastination, for it is one of devil’s strongest weapons.”
A disciplined person prepares for his journey, while a procrastinator doesn’t. So when it comes time to travel the disciplined person feels happy while the procrastinator feels that he is in trouble. This is how people are. Some are alert, so when the Angel of Death comes they do not feel guilty. Others are not disciplined, so they feel the agony when it comes time to travel.
If procrastination is part of your nature then repelling it becomes difficult. But when one knows that he has a persistant enemy he will always be on guard.
We ask Allah to give us safety from the enemy’s cunning, the devil’s fttnah’s and the evils of ourselves and the dunyd. Indeed He is near and responsive.

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : إذا قمت في صلاتك فصل صلاة مودع ، و لا تكلم بكلام تعتذر منه غدا ، وأجمع الإياس مما في أيدي الناس.

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “When you stand up to say your prayer then pray as if it’s your last Ṣalāh and neither speak with a speech for which you have to apologise (later) nor gather hopes for what is in the hands of people (i.e what they own of Dunyā).”

If the honor of a person is sacred, then know that the Honor of Allaah ﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ is more sacred, as Ibn al-Jawzee ﺭﺣﻤﻪ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ said.
Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (d.728H) ﺭﺣﻤﻪ
ﺍﻟﻠﻪsaid: “ When some people said to Imaam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal ﺭﺣﻤﻪ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ that they felt uneasy about criticizing people, he replied: "If you were to remain silent and I was to remain silent, how would the ignorant masses know the truth from falsehood?”
[Majmoo` al-Fataawaa (28/231)]
The Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said:

“Three (things) follow a dead person: Members of his family, his property and his deeds. Two of them return; and one remains with him. The Members of his family and his wealth return; and his deeds remain with him.”

Fear Allâh, & tell only the Truth

"Nowadays many youngsters, foolish minded & without wisdom at all, they spread evil thoughts on social media towards their brothers & it is all leaded from their hatred, desires & corrupted heart, manners & not based upon knowledge, wisdom & Ikhlas"

Something common these days:

Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

“Whoever appoints a man because of favouritism or blood ties, and does not appoint him for any other reason, has betrayed Allaah and His Messenger. And whoever appoints an evildoer knowing that he is an evildoer, is just like him.”

[Al-Idaarah Al-‘Askariyah Fee Ad-Dawlat Al-Islaamiyah, 1/66]
Umar ibn al-Khattāb:
"If you see that one of you has slipped, correct him, pray for him and do not help Shaytan against him (by insulting him, etc.)."

🔹Shaykh Fowzaan on Frauds Who Pretend to Have Islamic Knowledge

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Ever Merciful…

The great scholar, Shaykh Saalih al-Fowzaan (may Allaah preserve him), was asked:

▪️Question:
What is “ta’aalum”? And what is your advice to the youth who face trials due to people engaged in ta’aalum?

▫️Answer:
He replied:
Ta’aalum is to feign knowledge. Feigning knowledge. It is when a person claims knowledge, while he is not knowledgeable in reality. He has not taken any knowledge directly from the scholars. Rather, he merely learned some things from books, solely from reading. He lacks sound fundamentals to build upon; he just reads things in books and proceeds according to his own understanding, likely erring more than being correct. This is a person of ta’aalum. He is a danger to himself (firstly) and to everyone (at large), since he plays games with the religion of Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic.

If a man came out and said to the people, “I’m a physician, I’m a doctor, and I treat (the sick),” while he does not have any medical qualifications, no medical qualifications at all, would he be allowed to treat (the sick)? Would he be allowed to perform surgeries, opening patients up and performing heart operations? He would not be allowed to do that, because it would be harmful. So how can a person of ta’aalum be allowed to play with the religion?! Playing with the religion is more serious than meddling with people’s bodies!

So they must fear Allah and not speak about Allah without knowledge, for Allah has made speaking about Him without knowledge worse than shirk (polytheism)!

قل إنما حرم ربي الفواحش ما ظهر منها وما بطن والإثم والبغي بغير الحق وأن تشركوا بالله ما لم ينزل به سلطانا وأن تقولوا على الله ما لا تعلمون
Say, “My Lord has only forbidden immoralities, what is apparent of them and what is concealed, sin, oppression without right, that you associate partners with Allaah which He has sent down no authority for, and that you say about Allaah what you do not have knowledge of.” (Al A’raaf 7:33)

Such people must fear Allaah and get an education before speaking.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"If any of you becomes angry, let him remain silent."

[Saheeh al-Jaami' no.693]

How true is the saying:

"Anger begins with madness and ends with regret."

May Allaah gives us the ability to control our tongues especially in a state of anger.

🔖 Belittling the people

On the authority of Ibn Mubārak who said:

“Whoever belittles the scholars has forsaken his hereafter; whoever belittles the leaders has forsaken his worldly life and whoever belittles the brothers has forsaken his honour”

📒[Siyar Aʿlām al-Nubalāʾ 15/425].

📝Commentary of Shaykh ʿAbd al-Razāq al-Badr:

Looking at the people in a belittling manner is a form of pride and arrogance. The intelligent one does not look at anyone in a belittling manner. The one who belittles the people then this will be his punishment [i.e. the aforementioned saying of Ibn Mubārak].

Ibn Taymiyyah ﺭﺣﻴﻤﻪ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ :said
“It is incumbent upon us to fear Allaah and to fear Him when it comes to the people, we shouldn’t oppress them with our hearts nor with our limbs, we should give them their rights. We shouldn’t fear the people over Allaah and leave off Allaah and His messenger’s command. Whoever adopts this way of life will be in all types of wellness and good health.”

📮CAUTION IN ACQUIRING KNOWLEDGE AND IN GIVING KNOWLEDGE

💢A: Acquiring knowledge

✏️Muhammed bin Sireen RH said,
“Indeed, this knowledge (of hadith) is your religion, so check from whom
you are taking it.”

📕[RECORDED IN THE INTRODUCTION OF SAHEEH MUSLIM]

💢B: Giving knowledge

✏️Ibn Mas‟ud RA narrated,
“The one who knows should speak (from his knowledge) And the one who doesn‟t know should say, „Allah knows better‟. Because it is from knowledge to say, „I don‟t know‟ about the thing that he does not know.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The son of Adam does not fill any vessel worse than his stomach. It is sufficient for the son of Adam to eat a few mouthfuls, to keep him going. If he must do that (fill his stomach), then let him fill one third with food, one third with drink and one third with air.”

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (2380); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah (2265).

‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: “The first calamity for this ummah after the death of its Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) will be satiety, for when people’s stomachs are full, their bodies will grow fat, and their hearts will become weakened and their desires will grow wild.”

Narrated by al-Bukhaari in al-Du’afa’ – as attributed to him by al-Dhahabi in Meezaan al-I’tidaal (3/335). Also narrated by Ibn Abi’l-Dunya in al-Joo’ (no. 22).

Shaykh Saalih Al-Fawzaan, when asked if a woman can unveil her face because of the difference of opinion on this matter, replied:

“No one uses the difference of opinion amongst the scholars as a justification except for the people of desires who love to follow their whims. As for the one who fears Allaah, he does not use the differences of opinion as an excuse.

Differences of opinions exist amongst the scholars. In fact, there is almost no issue from among the issues of fiqh, except that there can be found a difference of opinion amongst the scholars in it. This is why Allaah has commanded us to refer back to the Book and the Sunnah.

“And if you differ in anything, then refer it back to Allaah and the Messenger if you truly believe in Allaah and the last day.” [4:59]

So differences of opinion exist. However, it is not permissible for us to (only) accept the opinion that confirms to our desires and aspirations, whilst rejecting the one that is supported by the evidences just because it contradicts our desires. This is not permissible.

So what is required is to take the opinion that is in conformity with the evidence from the Book and the Sunnah with regard to the Hijaab as well as everything else.”

The shaykh then went on to confirm the obligation of a woman veiling her face.
