It was narrated that Abu Dharr said: The Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessing upon Him) said:
"The evil eye may follow a man by Allah's Leave, until he climbs up a high mountain then falls from it."
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessing upon Him) said:
"The evil eye is real and can bring down a person from a high mountain."
What is meant here is that the evil eye follows a person by Allah's will, until it causes him to fall from a high mountain. Musnad Ahmad; Al-Tabarani; Al-Hakim in Al-Mustadrak. Al-Albani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It is Hasan
It was narrated that Jabir ibn 'Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessing upon Him) said:
"Most of those who die of my Ummah, after the will and decree of Allah, will die because of the evil eye." Narrated by Al-Bukhari in Al-Tarikh, and by Al-Bazzar. Shaykh Al-Albani said: a Hadith Hasan - Sahih Al-Jami', 1217
It was narrated that Jabir (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessing upon Him) said:
"The evil eye will put a man into his grave and a camel into the cooking pot." Hilyat Al-Awliya' by Abu Na'im. Shaykh Al-Albani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It is a Hasan Hadith - Al-Silsilah Al-Sahihah, 1250.

*Feeling Sadness For An Unknown Reason*
Imam Ibn Taymeeyah [رحمه الله] said:
«سئل سفيان بن عيينة عن غَمٍّ لا يُعْرَفُ سبَبُه قال: هو ذنب همَمْتَ به في سِرِّك ولم تفعله فجزيت هماًّ به. فالذنوب لها عقوبات السِّرُّ بالسِّرِّ والعلانية بالعلانية.»
❝Sufyaan Bin 'Uayaynah was asked about feeling sadness for a unknown reason.
He said: 'It is a sin which you desired to do secretly but you did not perform it, so you were rewarded with sadness for it.'
Therefore, sins have a penalty, secret sins are sanctioned secretly and public sins are sanctioned publicly.❞

*THE LIFE OF THIS WORLD IS BUT A FLOWER*
Shaykh Uthaymeen تعالى هللا رحمه said in his explanation of Riyadis Saliheen:
Allaah the Exalted said: And strain not your eyes in longing for the things We have given for enjoyment to
various groups of them (it is only) the flower of the life of this world.
(Soorah Ţāhā 20:131)
This means don’t look towards the people who possess this worldly life and the pleasures they enjoy such as vehicles, clothes, homes and other than that.
All of that is the flower of this world. And the final destination of the flower is that it will wilt, dry up and disappear. The flower is the fastest leaf on the tree to wilt and disappear.
For this reason He said -flower’. A flower is good in its splendor, beauty and fragrance—if it has a fragrance. But it wilts away rapidly. This worldly life is just like
this, a flower that wilts away quickly.
We ask Allaah to grant us our portion in the next life.

Three things that bring about destruction - Shaykh Muhammad Nasruddeen Al-Albani (Rahimahullah)
The sickness of the Muslim youth in this present day and age, is that as soon as they feel that they have achieved something of the knowledge about which they were previously ignorant of; they raise their heads with it and think that they comprehend all things with their knowledge.
Hence arrogance and self-amazement took control of them and we fear that they may be included in the statement of the Messenger, may Allah send peace and blessings upon him:
"Three things bring about destruction...
1. Miserliness
2. Following one's desires
3. and that everyone is amazed with his own opinion."

We need to instill in ourselves & our children to be grateful to Allaah for what we have. Unfortunately we live in times & in societies where blessings are overlooked & we take them for granted, like shelter, food, clean water, electricity, gas, safety, good health & much more.
