Qur'an and Sunnah upon the understanding of the salaf
══════ ❁✿❁ ══════
Imām Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said:

"Waiting for relief patiently [during times of hardship] is a form of worship, for verily the trials never last forever."

Majmū Rasā’il 3/155
The great mufassir Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabari brought the following narration about the second half of surah al-Ma'oon [107]:

Regarding the ayaat, "Woe to those who pray * those who are heedless of their prayer * ..."

... ibn 'Abbaas said: These are the munafiqoon. It is their way that they want their prayer to be seen by people when others are present, leave off praying when no one is around, and abstain from lending any of their household items to others - which is what *al-ma'oon* is - out of enmity towards them.

[Tafsir al-Tabari 24/631]
And do not turn your face away from people in contempt (false pride), and walk not haughtily on earth, Verily Allah does not love one, who, out of arrogance (self-conceitedness) acts in a boastful manner.

And be moderate (modest) in your walking, and lower your voice. Verily, the most hateful (harshest, ugliest) of all voices is the (loud) voice of a (braying) donkey.

[Surah Luqman, Chapter 31, Verse 18-19]
The Ṣaḥābah would do the Sunnah because it was Sunnah.

We leave the Sunnah because “it's just Sunnah, not wājib.”

The Ṣaḥābah left the makrūh because it was makrūh.

We do the makrūh because “it's only makrūh, not ḥarām.”

May Allāh guide us. Aameen

“The Qur’aan is a proof for you or against you.”

The Qur’aan is a proof for you, i.e. with Allaah, The Mighty, The Majestic, or a proof against you. If you act in accordance with it, it is a proof for you. If you turn away from it, it is a proof against you.

*A Beautiful Hadith: "Mind Your Words":*

Abu Hurairah (رضى الله عنه) reported:

I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "A person utters a word thoughtlessly (i.e., without thinking about its being good or not) and, as a result of this, he will fall down into the fire of Hell deeper than the distance between the east and the west."

How to protect yourself from Shaytaan

Imām ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله mentioned from the benefits Dhikr (remembering Allaah) is that it repels Shaytaan, subdues him, and breaks him.

📌 *THE EXCELLENCE OF SUPPLICATING TO ALLAAH & CONSTANTLY REMEMBERING HIM*

📍All praise is due to Allaah for His blessings and bounties ,

He commanded us to remember Him and supplicate to Him with fear of Him and Hope in Him.

I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except for Allaah alone,
He has no partner in His Lordship,
in His Worship and in His Names and Attributes.
And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger,
the best of His sincere, intimate and close friends.
May the abundant salutations of peace and blessings be upon him,
upon his family, upon his Companions and upon all of those who have sincere affection and alliance with him,

📍 *To proceed*
*O people !*
Have taqwa of Allaah, the Most High, and know that Allah, the Most Perfect, has commanded you to remember Him and to invoke Him.

🍃 *He, The Most Perfect, said:*
O you who believe! Remember Allah with much remembrance.
[Al - Ahzaab 33:41]

🍃 and glorify His praises morning and afternoon
*[the Fajr and 'Asr prayers]*.
[Al - Ahzaab 33:42]

🍃 *And He, the Most Perfect, said:*

🍃 *And your Lord said:*
" Invoke Me, (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your invocation, Verily!
Those who scorn My worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not worship Me alone] they will surely enter Hell in humiliation! "

The Inheritance Of Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-'Alaihi Wa Sallam

Once Abū Hurayrah Raḍi-Allāhu ‘Anhu passed by a market in Madeenah.

He stopped in there and said: “O people of the market, what has made you incapable??!”

They said: “And what is that Abū Hurayrah??”

He replied: “That is the inheritance of Allāh’s Messenger (Ṣallallāhu-‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) being distributed, while you are in here neither going nor taking your share from it!!”

They asked: “And where is it??”

He replied: “In the Masjid.”

So they went out in a rush towards the Masjid, and Abū Hurayrah waited for them until they returned.

When they came back, he asked: “What’s the matter with you?”

They replied: “O Abū Hurayrah! We went to the Masjid and entered it but we didn’t see anything being distributed in there!!”

So Abū Hurayrah asked them: “Did you not see anyone in the Masjid?”

They replied: “Indeed we saw people praying and a people reciting Qur’ān and others studying (what is) Ḥalāl (i.e permissible) and (what is) Ḥarām (i.e prohibited).”

So Abū Hurayrah said to them: “Woe to you! THAT IS THE INHERITANCE OF MUḤAMMAD (Ṣallallāhu-‘Alaihi Wa Sallam)!!”
