• Sufyan Ath-Thawri رحمه الله said:

"Surely, knowledge is sought in order to ensure that an individual fears Allah!!"

Let not your smartphones distract you when you are in the company of someone

It was narrated from Ibn `Abbaas رضي الله عنهما: The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ took a ring and put it on, then he said: ❝This distracted me from you all day, shifting my gaze from it to you (and back again).❞ Then he threw it away.

📚 [Sunan al-Nasaa’ee (5289) and Shaikh al-Albaanee said: "It is “Saheeh” as per the condition of al-Bukhaaree and Muslim", see al-Saheehah (1192). Shaikh Muqbil also graded it as “Saheeh” in Saheeh al-Musnad]

▪ This is from the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ regarding the ethics of sitting in a gathering, that a person should not be preoccupied with something which distracts him from the gathering or his guests for a long time. It is not Haraam, but this is not proper etiquette either. Then what about when he is with his parents or either one of them?

Hasan’ul Basri said: “Correct people with your actions (as an example), and not your speech (alone).”

Sufyan ibn ’Unayah said: “Whoever loves the Qur’an, loves Allaah.”

When you don’t understand what's happening in your life, just close your eyes, and take a deep breath and say,

“Ya Allah, I know this is your plan, just help me through it.”

Shaykh Sulayman ibn Abdullah al-ash-Shaykh said.

commenting on this Ayah: “Hence, the Glorified and Exalted forbade the believers from taking the Jews and Christians as allies and He has informed (them) that whoever from the believers allies himself with them then he is from them. Similar to this is the ruling for the one who allies himself with the disbelievers from the Majus and idol worshipers, they are from them.”

(Ad-Durrar as-Sanniyyah, 8/127).

💠 Umar (raḍiyallāhu anhu) said when once visiting the Prophet ﷺ:

“I sat down and cast a glance at the room, and by Allah, I couldn’t see anything of importance but three hides. I said [to Allah’s Messenger],

‘Pray to Allah to make your followers prosperous, for the Persians and the Romans have been made prosperous and given worldly luxuries, though they do not worship Allah.’

The Prophet ﷺ was leaning then, so he sat straight and said,

‘O Ibn al-Khaṭṭāb! Do you have any doubt [that the hereafter is better than this world]? These people have been given rewards of their deeds in this world only.’

So I asked the Prophet ﷺ to seek Allah’s forgiveness for me.”

For Or Against

Shaykh ul Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah [رحمه الله] said:

❝The believer is pleased with a truthful statement, whether it is for him or against him, and gets angry at a false statement whether is for him or against him.❞

Shaykh ul-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah [رحمه الله] said:

"Indeed Allāh rectified the earth with His Messenger [sall Allaahu 'alayhi wa sallam], with His Deen, with the command of Tawhīd and with the prohibition of corrupting the earth with committing Shirk [associating partners] with Allāh and opposing Allāh's Messenger [sall Allaahu 'alayhi wa sallam].

Whoever reflects over the state of the world, finds that the reason and the means for every type of rectification on the earth is the Tawhīd of Allāh, His Worship and obedience to His Messenger [sall Allaahu 'alayhi wa sallam].

All evil in the world, Fitnah, afflictions, droughts and overpowering of the enemy as well as other matters; then the reasons and the means of this evil are opposition to the Messenger [sall Allaahu 'alayhi wa sallam] and calling to other than Allāh.

Whoever truly reflects upon this, also finds this matter, particularly deep down in himself whilst generally and specifically in other people.

There is no power or might except from Allāh."

Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān (حفظه الله) said:

“Attaching statements like Mā Shā’ Allāh on cars is impermissible.”

Our Lord descends every night to the sky of this world when the last third of the night remains - Shaykh ‘Uthaymīn

The prophet ( صلّى الله عليه وسلّم ) said in an authentic ḥadīth:

يَنْزِلُ رَبُّنَا تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا حِينَ يَبْقَى ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الآخِرُ ، يَقُولُ : مَنْ يَدْعُونِي فَأَسْتَجِيبَ لَهُ ؟ مَنْ يَسْأَلُنِي فَأُعْطِيَهُ ؟ مَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرُنِي ؟ فَأَغْفِرَ لَهُ
Our Lord, the blessed and exalted, descends every night to the sky of this world when the last third of the night remains. He asks, “Who is calling on me so I can answer him? Who is asking me (for anything) so I can give (it to) him? Who is asking for my forgiveness so I can forgive him?”

Today: Ḥadīth 33:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “....Whosoever would be chaste and modest; Allāh will keep him chaste and modest. And whosoever would seek self-sufficiency, Allāh will make him self-sufficient; and whosoever would be patient, Allāh will give him ṣabr And no one is granted a gift better than ṣabr.” (Bukhārī & Muslim)

The Messenger of Allāh Ṣallallāhu-'Alaihi Wa Sallam said: “I have been permitted to speak about one of Allāh Ta'ālā's angel from amongst angels who bears THE THRONE (of Allāh), that the distance between his ear lobe to his shoulder is a journey of SEVEN HUNDRED YEARS.”

Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said:

#Taqwā | As long as you have taqwā, help is always on the way.

وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُ مَخْرَجًا وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ ۚ

“And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine.” [65:2-3]

Fudayl Ibn Iyaad (رحمه الله) said:

“If the people’s statement that you are a truthful man is more beloved to you than their statement that you are an evil man, then you are an evil man.”

The Believers will see their Lord in the Hereafter - Shaykh ‘Uthaymīn

What practical benefit do we gain from knowing these verses (and ḥadīth) about the believers seeing their Lord in Paradise? There is no greater effect on a person’s behavioral approach and direction in life than this. When anyone realizes that his main objective, the height of his reward is to look upon the face of his Lord, this life and everything in it then becomes almost worthless to him in comparison. Nothing else would compare or be as precious to him as reaching that moment of seeing Allah (عزّ وجلّ). It is the goal of every seeker; it is the final achievement.

If you know that you will one day see your Lord with your own eyes, then by Allah this life would not mean a thing to you.

Everything of this world is nothing in comparison because the sight of Allah’s face is the prize for which the competitors compete, the goal to which the racers race, and it is the greatest triumph of everything.

So if you know this, will you strive to reach it or not?
