🌌 *True Goodness*

It is reported that ‘Alî b. Abî Tâlib – Allâh be pleased with him – said:

Goodness is not in your wealth and offspring being plentiful; true goodness is
🎇when your [good] deeds are plenty and
🎇you have great understanding and forbearance, and
🎇when you compete to worship your Lord.

🌼 *If you do good you praise Allâh and thank Him, and if you sin you beg Allâh’s forgiveness.*

There is no good in this life except with two types of men:
🎍A man who sins _but then corrects himself through repentance_, and
🎍 a man who _strives and hastens to get [the good] of the hereafter._

Good Character

Some of the scholars described good character as: the person having a lot of shyness, little harm, a lot of good, truthful speech, speaking only a little, a lot of action, few sins, little in the way of extravagance, kindness and mantaining the ties, dignity and patience, content and gratitude, forbearance and gentleness, chastity and compassion; he is not one who curses or insults, carries tales or backbites, nor is he hasty or hateful, stingy or envious; he is cheerful and courteous, he loves for the sake of Allāh, he is pleased for the sake of Allāh, and he hates for the sake of Allāh.

Behave well in your private life and Allaah will make your public life excellent.
Take care of what is between you and Allaah, and he will take care of what is between you and the people.
Work for your Hereafter and Allaah will suffice your affairs in this world.
Sell your worldly life for your Hereafter and you will profit in them both together, and do not sell your Hereafter for your worldly life or you will lose them both together.

🍯‘Asal (honey)

Imam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jauziyah رحمه الله said:

Ibn Jurayj said that Az-Zuhri said,

“Eat honey because it is good for the memory, the best type of honey is the white, pure, light and sweet honey. Also, the honey that is collected from trees and mountains is better than the honey that is grown in cells. Further, the quality of the honey varies according to the area where the bees collected their food.”

Prohibition of playing with dice🎲

It was narrated by Muslim (2260), Abu Dawood (4939), Ibn Maajah (3763) and Ahmad, from Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam) said: “Whoever plays with dice, it is as if he were dipping his hand in the flesh and blood of a pig.” 

An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: 
The scholars said: This hadith was quoted as evidence by ash-Shaafa‘i and others for the prohibition on playing with dice. End quote.

Behave well in your private life and Allaah will make your public life excellent.
Take care of what is between you and Allaah, and he will take care of what is between you and the people.

إِنَّا هَدَيْنَاهُ السَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا

❝We already showed them the Way, whether they ˹choose to˺ be grateful or ungrateful.❞

Al-Qur`ān [Sūrah Al-Insān, Al-Āyah 3]

Don't look down at others:

Ibnul-Qayyim رحمه الله said: 

"If Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى opens for you (gives you success to doing that action) the door of standing for the night prayer, then do not look at those who are sleeping with a look of disdain. 

And if Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى opens for you the door of fasting then do not look at those who break their fast with a look of disdain.

And if Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى opens for you the door of jihad then do not look at those who sit and do not participate with a look of disdain. 

Maybe the one who sleeps, breaks his fast and sits is closer to Allaah than you! 

Ibnul-Qayyim رحمه الله said: 
"And indeed that you spent the night sleeping and woke up regretful is better than the one who spent the night standing and woke up admiring himself for indeed the one who admires himself actions are not accepted !!”

The difference between us and them!

Students of knowledge of the past

Ibn Qutaibah (271H) رحمه الله said,

“In the past, a student of knowledge would listen to learn, and learn to act, and gain understanding of the religion in order to benefit himself and others. But now it has become such that they listen (only) in order to accumulate, and they accumulate (only) in order to be mentioned, and they memorise in order to overcome (others) and boast.”

The One Who Offers Fajr is Under The Protection of Allaah

It is authenticity reported by Muslim in his Sahih (Book of Authentic Hadith) on the authority of Anas ibn Sirin that he said: I heard Jundub Al-Qasry saying that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
Anyone who offers the Fajr Prayer will come under the Protection of Allah, so do not fall short with regard to the rights of Allah, for anyone who does that, Allah will seize him and will throw him on his face into Hellfire.


In a narration related by Imam Ahmad in his Musnad (Hadith compilation):
Anyone who offers the Fajr Prayer will come under the Protection of Allah, so do not fall short with regard to the Rights of Allah.

Imam Al-Tirmidhy and Ibn Majah have other narrations with the same meaning.

عن محمد بن سيرين رحمه الله قال:

”إن قوما تركوا طلب العلم ومجالسة العلماء ، وأخذوا في الصلاة والصيام حتى يبس جلد أحدهم على عظمه ، ثم خالفوا السنة فهلكوا ، وسفكوا دماء المسلمين، فوالذي لا إله غيره ، ما عمل أحد عملا على جهل إلا كان يفسد أكثر مما يصلح.“

From Muhammad bin Sireen -Rahimahullaah- who said:

‘Indeed a people left seeking knowledge and the gatherings of the scholars, they took to excessive prayer and fasting so much so that their skins had dried on to their bones. Then they opposed the Sunnah so they became destroyed.

They spilt the blood of the Muslims. I swear by Allaah by whom there is none other to be worshipped, no one did an action upon ignorance except that he spoilt matters more than rectifying them.’
