The Messenger of Allāh Ṣallallāhu-'Alaihi Wa Sallam said:

“Shyness (Ḥayā) and faith (Eemān) are CONNECTED together, so when one of them is taken away the other one is ALSO REMOVED.”

On the authority of Abu Sa’eed al-Khudree radiAllahu anhu in a narration ascribed to the Prophet [ﷺ]:

❝The most complete of the believers in their Emaan are those who have the best manners, who are humble, who join hearts and their hearts are joined. There is no good in the one who does not join the hearts nor is his heart joined.❞

[Silsilah Ahadeeth As-Saheehah of al-Albāni, (No. 751) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Miraath al-Anbiyya]
Ibn al-Qayyim explains that Allah says when talking about Yūsuf (ʿalayhis-salām) that he was eventually victorious due to 2 key ingredients; his taqwa and patience:

أَنَا يُوسُفُ وَهَذَا أَخِي قَدْ مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا إِنَّهُ مَنْ يَتَّقِ وَيَصْبِرْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

“I am Yūsuf, and this is my brother. Allah has certainly favoured us. Indeed, he who has taqwa of Allah and is patient, then indeed, Allah does not allow the reward of those who do good to be lost.” (Qur’an 12:90)
📌BLESSINGS AND HARMS IN YOUR LIVES ARE A TEST

🎓Shaykh Muhammad Salih Ibn Uthaymeen Rahimahullaah:

“If you are given a blessing then do not [just] take it as a blessing, becoming merry and happy. It is a blessing, there is no doubt about that, but know that you are being tested by it, [tested] to see whether you will give due thanks for it or not.

If some harm comes your way, then be patient, for that too is a trial and test from Allah the Mighty and Majestic to test whether you will be patient or not. And if you are patient and hope for the reward from Allah, then Allah said, “Only those who are patient shall receive their rewards in full, without reckoning.” [Zumar 39:10]

🔖 *Hearts Become Cooled Due To The Qur’aan*

●Allaah [تعالى] said:
«And truly, it [this Qur’aan] is a guide and a mercy for the believers.»
[an-Naml: 77]

●Shaykh Sa’adee [رحمه الله] said:
"Meaning that their hearts become cooled due to the Qur’aan.
Their worldly and religious matters become corrected.

This is for those [believers] who believe in the Qur’aan and believe it to be truthful.
Those who truly accept it, those who turn to it to reflect upon it. Those who ponder over its meanings, so they are the ones who acquire guidance to the straight path and this mercy incorporates happiness, victory and success."

"Whoever conceals (the faults of) a Muslim, Allah will conceal him in this life and the hereafter" - Imam Ibn Rajab

It is reported that some of the Salaf said something similar:

"I have met people having no shameful faults but they began to mention the faults of others, so the people began discovering their faults. And I met people who had faults, yet they used to conceal other people’s faults, so their own faults were forgotten."

Common Mistakes — Saying ‘In-shaa-Allaah” After Du’aa

From the etiquettes of du’â is having resolve and not connecting your du’â with the will of Allâh.

Do not say: O Allâh, forgive me if You will; have mercy upon so-and-so if You will (i.e., In-shâ-Allâh).

If someone supplicates for you, do not say “In-shâ-Allâh”; rather say “Âmîn”.

If someone says to you, “May Allâh reward you with good,” then say “Âmîn”.

If someone says, “May Allâh forgive you,” then say “Âmîn”.

The Prophet (salAllâhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

When one of you supplicates, he should duplicate with resolve in his du’â and he should not say, “O Allâh, bestow upon me if you will (i.e., In-shâ-Allâh), for there is none to coerce Allâh.

[Sahih Muslim 2678, Book: Explanation of the Concise Advices of Shaykh-ul-Islâm Ibn Taymiyyah (Rahimahullâh) by Shaykh Sulaymân ar-Ruḥaylî (Hafidhahullâh), pg. 222 | Authentic Statements Publishing]
The Man Who Never Sinned, Yahya (‘alayhis salām)

The Messenger of Allāh (sallá Allāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam) said:
“There is none from children of Adam except that he has sinned or considered sinning; except Yahya ibn Zakariyah.”
[From the Hadīth of ibn Abbās collected by Imām Ahmad (2294) declared authentic by Imām al-Albāni]

Imām ash-Shāfi’ī (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said:
“We don’t know of anyone who was granted obedience of Allāh such that he did not mix it with sins except Yahya ibn Zakariyah.
[The History of Damascus (8/195)]

Allāh the Exalted said concerning His slave and Prophet Zakariyah (peace be upon him):
So the angels called him while he was standing in prayer in the chamber, “Indeed, Allāh gives you good tidings of Yahya, confirming a word from Allāh and [who will be] honorable, abstaining [from women], and a prophet from among the righteous.”
[Soorah 'Āl ‘Imrān 3:39]

al-Qādhī ibn Iyyād (may Allah have mercy upon him) said this means he was free from sin; as though he was blocked or prevented from committing sins. And it has been said this means he did not have desire for women.
[ash-Shafa (1/88)]

Allāh the Exalted said:
“(It was said to his son): ‘O Yahya! Hold fast the Scripture.’ And We gave him wisdom while yet a child. And (made him) sympathetic to men as a mercy from Us, and pure and he was righteous, and dutiful towards his parents, and he was neither an arrogant nor disobedient.
[Soorah Maryam 19:12-15]

ibn Jarīr (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said: ‘pure’ means he was pure from sins, he only used his body to obey Allāh. ibn Abbās (may Allāh be pleased with him) said: ‘pure and righteous’ means he never sinned.

The Rights of the Father upon his Son

Shaykh Ḥammād ibn Muḥammad al-Anṣārī رحمه الله mentioned a narration in which al-Layth ibn Sa'ad - D. 175H - رحمه الله said:

The father has ten rights over his son:

1. When he needs food, he feeds him.

2. When he needs clothing, he clothes him if he is able to and this is some of the explanations of Allāh's statement:

‎وَصَاحِبْهُمَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا مَعْرُوفًۭا

"Behave with them kindly in the world." • [31:15]

3. When one of his parents needs his service, he serves them.

4. When he calls him, he replies and attends to him.

5. When he commands him to do an affair, he obeys him as long as it is not an act of disobedience [to Allāh] or backbiting.

6. To speak with him with kind, soft, lenient speech.

7. To not address him by his name.

8. To walk behind him.

9. To love for him what he loves for himself and dislike for him what he dislikes upon himself.

10. To supplicants for mercy for him.

*The 10 Ways of Obtaining the Love of Allaah

🥀🍃🥀🍃🥀🍃🥀🍃🥀

Sheikh Saleh al-Fawzaan (حفظه الله) listed the 10 ways of obtaining the Love of Allaah as mentioned by:

✍🏼Ibnul Qayyim (رحمه الله تعالى):

*1.* Reading the Qur’aan, pondering over it and understanding it with its intended meanings.

*2.* Drawing closer to Allaah سبحانه و تعالى with the nawaafil (supererogatory acts of worship) after the [fulfillment of the] obligatory acts.

*3.* Constant remembrance of Allaah سبحانه و تعالى in all situations with the tongue, the heart, and the action [of the limbs].

*4.* Preferring that which Allaah سبحانه و تعالى loves over what the servant loves when the fulfillment of the two conflict.

*5.* Contemplation over the Names and Attributes of Allaah and what they indicate [of His] perfection and magnificence. And also [contemplating over] what they contain from praiseworthy implications.

*6.* Contemplation over both the hidden and apparent blessings of Allaah, while bearing witness to His kindness, favor, and distribution of His grace upon His servants.

*7.* Humbling oneself and wholly submitting to Allaah while admitting one’s dire need of Him.

*8.* Seclusion with Allaah سبحانه و تعالى at the time of His Divine descent [that is befitting of His perfection and glory] in the last third of the night. And reciting the Qur’aan at this time and concluding it by making tawbah (repentance) and istighfaar (seeking forgiveness).

*9.* Sitting with the people of goodness and integrity, those who love Allaah, and benefiting from their speech.

*10.* Distancing oneself from any distracting means that would hinder the heart from Allaah [and His remembrance].

Al-Qāsim b. Muḥammad said: “We were on a journey with Ibn al-Mubārak, and I was always asking myself: what is so special about this man that he is so famous? If he prays, so do we. If he fasts, so do we. If he fights, so do we. If he makes Ḥajj, so do we.

One night, we spent the night in a house travelling on the way to Shām. The lamp went out, and some of us woke up. So, he took the lamp outside to light it, and stayed outside for a while. When he came back in with the lamp, I caught a glimpse of Ibn al-Mubārak’s face, and saw that his beard was wet with his tears. I said to myself: “This fear of Allāh is what has made this man better than us. When the lamp went out and we were in darkness, he remembered the Day of Resurrection.”

◇☆◇☆The Du'a◇☆◇☆

[Imam al-Qurtubi] say: The du'a is good whatever form is made easy, and what is sought from mankind is to demonstrate a position of poverty and need before Allāh عز وجل, to humble oneself in submission to Him.

So if one wishes to face the Qiblah and raise the hands, then fine. And if one doesn’t wish to do so, then he has done what is reported of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in the ahadeeth. And Allāh has said, "call upon your Lord in humility and privacy." And raising the hands or other things were not intended by that.

And He سبحانه وتعالى said, "Those who remember Allāh standing and sitting"[3:191] - so he commended them and did not stipulate their condition other than what was mentioned.
And the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم would make du'a in his Khutbah on Fridays and he was not facing the Qiblah.
