The blame game does not work on the Day of Judgment before Allah, everyone is responsible for their actions.
Allah says (translated): "If only you (Prophet) could see how the wrongdoers will be made to stand before their Lord, blaming each other. Those who were weak (the followers) will say to the arrogant (leaders), ‘If it wasn't for you, we would have been believers.’
In response, the arrogant (leaders) will say to the weak (followers), "Did we hold you back from the guidance, after it had come to you? In fact, you really were guilty yourselves."
The weak (followers) will say to the arrogant (leaders), "It was you who planned night and day, ordering us to disbelieve God, and consider other things equal to Him." They will hide their regret on seeing their punishment. And We shall chain the necks of the disbelievers. Can they be recompensed with other than what they deserved for their deeds?"
Surat Saba: 31-33

Ibn al-Qayyim rahimullaah said,
“If Allaahﷻ puts a person under certain tests and trials and the person recognizes that he must resort to Allaahﷻ alone seeking His help, then this is a good sign for him; the trials turn to purification and mercy.
If on the other hand, he rejects, complains, and turns away from Allaahﷻ and seeks help from human beings like himself, then this is a bad sign for him; the trials turn to punishment and misery for him.”
(Tareequl-Hijratayn, ftn. 103, p. 259)

🍂💫 Gems of Sheikh Uthaymeen 💫🍂
✍🏼 Sheikh Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
"A believer, if he is tested with an affliction within his body or himself and says:
'This is a blessing from Allah. Allah will remove my sins, this will be an expiation for me '.
If he senses these feelings, the pain would have become a blessing.
In reality, humans fall into sins, always!
There is no doubt that trials are a means of expiation. In addition to that, were he to be patient while expecting a reward from Allah, he would have gained a higher rank."

✍ Sheikh Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
"If a person repents from a sin, a sincere repentance, it will be wiped away, even if he did not make Hajj."

Allah says in Surah al Baqarah: “Some of them are illiterate (‘Ummiyyun), Knowing nothing of the book but wishful thinking. They only speculate.”
Ibn Taymiyyah says about this ayah in Majmūah al Fatāwa:
Ibn Abbas and Qatadah interpreted the meaning of the word ‘ummiyyoon’ (illiterate) as meaning,
“They do not understand the meaning of the book. They learn it, they memorize it, and they recite it without understanding it.
The meaning of ‘illiterate’ in this verse does not mean that they cannot read or write.
They read it, memorize it and teach it yet they don’t understand what the book is talking about.
They are satisfied by only reciting it.”

"If you see yourself deteriorate, pick yourself up by repenting and seeking Allaah’s forgiveness and by asking Him to keep you firm.
And don’t become careless, and neither say: “In shaa Allaah, my eemaan will become stronger” (without doing anything about it). Instead from right now — from the moment you feel that you are ill — you must implement the cure."

Can the evil eye cause physical sickness or financial or social problems ?
Dr. ‘Abdullah as-Sadhaan – who is a specialist in matters of ruqyah and whose doctoral thesis was ennoscriptd Diraasah Muqaarinah ‘an ar-Ruqyah ash-Shar‘iyyah (A Comparative Study of Ruqyah as prescribed in Islam) was asked:
Can the evil eye cause physical sickness or financial or social problems ?
He replied:
Yes, the evil eye can cause a lack of healing from many physical problems and may even make them worse. It may also cause financial and marital problems, breakdown in relationships and a lot of calamities. How can it be otherwise, when the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وسلم ) said: “Death among my ummah is mostly caused, after the will and decree of Allah, by the evil eye.” So whatever occurs of calamities that are less serious than death are more likely to be caused by the evil eye.

GOOD CHARACTER
Some of the scholars described good character as the person having a lot of shyness, little harm, a lot of good, truthful speech, speaking only a little, a lot of action, few sins, little in the way of extravagance, kindness and mantaining the ties, dignity and patience, content and gratitude, forbearance and gentleness, chastity and compassion; he is not one who curses or insults, carries tales or backbites, nor is he hasty or hateful, stingy or envious; he is cheerful and courteous, he loves for the sake of Allāh, he is pleased for the sake of Allāh, and he hates for the sake of Allāh.

❝Indeed when a person faces calamities with patience [but] without hoping for a reward from Allaah, the calamity will become an expiation for his sins. And if he shows patience along with hoping for a reward [from Allaah], then along with being an expiation for his sins it becomes a "good recompense and reward".
And the meaning of hoping for Allaah’s reward [al-Ihtisaab] is that a person believes that he will soon be rewarded for the patience [he is showing], so he makes good his thoughts about Allaah and thus Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, will give him [a reward] according to what he thought of Him.❞
